The fastest I ever saw on Sprint's 4G was 7Mbps! This is extremely impressive!
I live in Northern NJ and I regularly get 4.25-5.25 Mbps on my Nexus One. TMo has really good coverage around here... The fastest I have ever had was 5.60 Mbps. And that is without hspa+ . I can only imagine what I would get running a G2...

Found this on my old EVO's SD card backup folder. My fastest Sprint 3G test:
T-Mobile is very impressive indeed

I've hit these speeds a couple of times here in Chicago. HSPA+ is here to stay. Can't wait until they expand coverage.

I did search the forums.. I know this is an ongoing and well known issue with the phone. But as of 11/16/2011 are there any new radio/kernels/etc that can help? The reception is way worse than my old Evo and my wife's Epic in the same locations. Lots of time the phone just behaves bad because it can't obtain a signal. There may be not be a software solution, it is just such a shame because the phone is 90% awesome. Any new developements?

Maybe you have a defective phone. With the same radio you are using I get as good or better receptions than the 2 evos in the house.

Thanks for the data point! I was wondering it was my handset...
Maybe when ICS come out, I will unroot, revert to stock, go to Sprint store and complain, and maybe they will swap my handset.
Hey I was wondering if there are any roms that would give me the H+ for data.. I am using bell in Canada. Currently using android revolution and it just has the regular H .. any help would be great.. thanks in advanced
The limitation to HSPA without + is coming from the hardware not the ROM.
The Sensation is limited to 14 Mbps Downstream and 5.46 Mbps.
That is HSPA Category 10.
HSPA+ is specified from 28 to 84 Mbit/s downstream rate, that is not part of the Sensation's hardware.
Both technologies are falsely marketed as 4G in the US.
4th Generation Networks are not yet specified and the only candidate left for the 4G networks is LTE Advanced, not to be confused with LTE

My best so far.
It's been available to me for about for over a week. I'm Queens, near Nassau county.
great speed at brooklyn too.........down 28M/up 11M...........hopfully keep this speed...............
Just tonight at school I looked at my skyrocket and saw LTE for the first time! Lowest I saw was 13Mbps down on only 2 bars. I also have LTE at home and pulled 38Mbps down and 11Mbps up. And that was on 3 bars! Can't wait to see what I get around town tomorrow. Just thought I'd let you all know

How are your numbers as of late? Im in the Arcadia neighborhood and have not seen 20+ DL usually 8-16 down with 1.5 to 3 up
It changes drastically depending on your signal. But i've pulled over 40 on only 3 bars. Usually i'm around 20Mbps on 2 bars, 45Mbps+ on 4-5 bars. Been that way since it went live.

I"ve yet to get any connection on 5G around me since switching to T-mobile last week. not a huge deal since I very very rarely ever need data but it still bothers me a bit. there are 5g bands that Tmobile uses that wont' work with this phone from the charts I've seen and I think thats the problem in the Pittsburgh area
Yep: TMo has a patchwork of frequencies, and in some places it'll be great and in others it'll be literally non existent.
I live in the bay area, I rarely get 5g, but when I do it's crazy fast.
Do any of you have 5g aggregation on in developer mode? Do y'all experience any different with it on vs off?
Also, for TMobile are y'all on epc or fast apn?
In advance setting, do y'all have 5g smart switch on or off? Does that also help?
