My thoughts too. It wasn't that long ago that 7.1.1 came out anyway
There were some speculations on 7.1.2 going to be released before oreo update, but no news since then.
Sent from my TA-1032 using Tapatalk
I might be wrong, but I don't really see any point in HMD releasing 7.1.2 if they still plan to release 8.x this year, and i'm guessing this might be part of the reason why we haven't heard anything else since.
I totally agree on that.

In Portugal i'm still on 7.1.1 and i say that if 7.1.2 comes like on Nokia 5 i prefer to stay on 1.1

Good decision,me too I will stay on 7.1.1 a while even Oreo will be released. Some users reported strange(bad) sound in vibration touch after updated to Oreo
(Nokia8).We dont know if is a OS bug or not.(usually I always do a factory reset after an upgrade)
All the best to all !
Why would you stay on 7.1.1 it won't cost you anything to upgrade?

I think he means he'll wait till he's sure the usual issues that come with an os upgrade are ironed out . There's no point upgrading your phone if it means the performance will deteriorate

u know that's for p8 and p8lite right? p8max has the code DAV-70xL and there is only one leak of marshmallow beta, which turns out to be a super buggy release on the fourms....

Since I rooted my A9 (but made a system backup) I have no idea if a new update is out for European 2GB ram models, so I dunno if I restore the stock system and recovery to update.
Is the update still 6.0 or we finally got he 6.0.1?
It looks like the new US update made the camera even better
No 6.0.1 on my European model.... HTC is doing well in the US but maybe a bit too slow in Europe.
Yeah it's weird, it looks like HTC sold much more A9 in the US than Europe perhaps, or they are putting all their efforts on the M10, either way they lack software programmers employees as they can't work on 2 phones at the same time. I have nothing to complain with my A9 but if there are some new customization option and better camera algorithm...
HTC priority has always been the US compared to Europe.. That's why they sell developers versions of their handsets in the US only..

I have the European model and I'm still under 6.0.
HTC should, at least, push updates for security patch.
I want the camera update
I have to RAW edit all my photos on PC because HTC uses a too high jpeg compression (or NR) loosing details, perhaps the 6.0.1 update has a better jpeg treatment

What???
The M10 is coming in April even May!
The thing is that US models got the 6.0.1 for weeks now so they just have to adapt it for European models, ce n'est pas sorcier

Yep but if the new camera improvements are nice and it can give xposed compatibility, why not?
As well as compatibility with the incoming custom Rom, as a tester I could flash it but because of FW differences (6.0 vs 6.0.1) it won't work.
6.0.1 update is now available for me

Yes!
I've seen through the forums , there is a lot unwanted results , . I think most are created by the flashers , but there seems a lot bugs too, which one is the most stable
Is xpose , ready for marshmallow?
If you want stability you can't go wrong with Viper or ICE.
you are aware that there are no roms for the ME

Please don't buy phone MTK chipset. All other HTC's with Qualcomm chipset have so much ROM.

Maybe that explains also the inability of HTC to release updates. Yet there is probably a rom which could be adapted for this HTC. A starting point could be the other HTC phones which already have 6.0 or 7.0.
Anyone up for the challenge?
When to expect Oreo on our Nokias ?
Can't wait to wonderfill my device.
It should be on our devices by the end of the year. Has anyone received and 7.1.1 update so far ?

The build number is the same as retus. If they didn't change a thing, why were they waiting so long to release?
I still have no update. Anyone else also didn't get it?
