You need to accept USB debugging always prompt and access to a computer that is all that is needed
Go to Getex kk-mm bootloader unlock thread on XDA under s5 verizon forum
Use method 3 adb method and
Follow it until you get to step where it says pull cid this is your current cid that is being copied to a viewable text file on your phone
look at text file
if starts with 15 congratulations you can unlock your boot loader
If it says 11 unfortunately you can't unlock your bootloader

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
You MUST have an unlocked bootloader in order for root to work!(Or you may/probably will bootloop your phone)
This rom uses an updated bootloader, but it is not needed, you may flash this over the PD1, PF4, PG2, or PJ2 bootloader!

Well you continued so I assume you understand what you are doing
One last time, you MUST HAVE AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER TO FLASH
You also MUST BE ON PD1+ Bootloaders!
You need to download the ROMs from here
VZW_PL1_STOCK_MAGISK_.zip
VZW_PL1_STOCK_MAGISK_DEODEXED.zip
VZW_PL1_STOCK_ROOTED_DEODEXED.zip
Flash your rom inside TWRP or Flashfire or Safestrap(Or whatever method you may be using to flash roms)
I recommend against Dirty flashing however if you are coming from a 6.0.1 ROM you probably are fine
Wipe Cache/Dalvik
Reboot!
You should be done!

I flashed it and it spent hours on verizon boot animation , until i gave up and wiped it to flash back other firmware.

****VRS2*** should mean you can still flash-back to PB1
'2' is the level of qfuses blown and if I am not mistaken the s5 should be OUT of qfuses to blow so they are kind of stuck

PL1 also has the same naming letters.
This is just a code name depend on the year/quarter/month/day

Also interested. I'm on official Oreo on v5 bootloader on a fresh phone from insurance and trying to get root.

If your wanting root functions these are your only options. While the Oreo doesn't have root, it does have SafeStrap for system file modification and Xposed to run non root plugins.
As far as flashing to U1 firmware there is a thread about flashing to it. You should be able to as long as bootloader matches but don't quote me. I'm still on BL3 and still can flash to U1, root rom, oreo rom, stock rom no problem.
The easiest method to obtain root unlocks or update or downgrade unlocked bootloaders can be found below they were updated December of 2021

There really is no way to have root on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Emmc_CID_11 but you have safestrap so you can install xposed or most mod zips , delete system files you dont want etc

In that case you most likely need to do a full wipe, as well as formatting data,( the option were you have to type yes), in TWRP. The ROM works flawlessly on my phone. Good luck and insure that you have backed all your data first because this Will erase all data on internal storage.

No because flume OS like all custom (roms, or most) require an unlocked bootloader. CID11 g900v can't be bootloader unlocked.

Just make sure that you have everything good and backed up. Do a full wipe in twrp / you may need to update twrp (klte version works for klrevzw now, as do klte aosp roms) flash rom gapps and root if you want it. / Reboot/ enjoy.

Anyone have any luck running Blackberry work with this magisk rom? I have apps hidden using magisk hide, Google play shows it is certified, but Blackberry work fails enrollment. On stock, it works fine. This is on a CID 15 phone.
Apparently Blackberry Work does more checks than google safety net and can detect modification. If anyone has any ideas how I can make Blackberry work think my phone is not modified, please let me know.
I've tried core only mode, hiding the app. What else can I try?
