Hello, it's my first Sony smartphone and I noticed this strange thing in front camera. There's a way to make selfies with the right perspective? There is an alternative app to make this?

No problem at all for me.
All these photos were taken at your work. Are you sure it isn't just that there's terrible lighting?

Cool. Thanks for providing those pictures taken in other locales.
same problem with my pixel xl
And if so, can you do it later?
Doubtful as that is in the post processing I believe. The reason people are looking for the Gcam port, or they would just adjust the current camera software.
Being a post-process is exactly why you should be able to do whatever you want woth the background. So is it a yes or a no? Can you do it with stock camera?
Actually I meant that it's done in the OnePlus algorithms. Meaning you'd have to be a camera expert to even know what does what. It's not like taking an APK and porting it. You'd have to rewrite it or know what to rewrite. At least this is what I'd expect

If I'm right its not possible with the current stock camera app
But if Oneplus tries and puts some effort on camera app ,they can
I really wish we could shoot in RAW format in portrait mode, does anyone know if that is possible? Or is it with the Gcam mod?

Wow, that's...that's game breaking for me honestly. I heard amazing things about OnePlus (5t and 6), especially in terms of gaming performance, and i was really looking into buying one (plus 6 ) in the near future. But i love taking pics in weekends and holidays and edit them later to my leisure.
I'm keeping my eyes on news of some update that fixes this limitation that shouldn't exist in the first place

Ok then let's request Oneplus to include blur intensity in camera app?

If you're that worried about raw, you should be shooting with a dslr camera. These are point and shoot that has been given a manual mode but these are still not a replacement for a regular dslr.

I agree DSLR is best but it would be nice still if we could shoot raw format pictures in portrait mode still, I mean why do they give us portrait mode but can't do much post processing with it?

To me since I am a photography enthusiast (fairly serious) that the portrait mode is still just for quick snaps to give a more focus point of view on the subject, not for wedding photos and such. I get your point you still want to maybe do some editing. But I guess my point is if you like the phone for enough to want to buy it and raw photo editing is a thing, it sees that the OP should have looked for that from the beginning and not be shocked it's missing that feature 3 months after release in a forum post. Just my opinion
So I'm not sure when it started as I don't use my camera much. However, whenever i use any application that uses the rear camera (gcam, snapchat, stock camera) the image is very blurry. Dunno if it's because it can't focus or because of something else. Anyone have any suggestions in what to do?
How does it look when you take a normal photo then? Like is should?
I had that with certain kernels, the focus is locked at x distance. I upgraded the kernel (elemental) and it solved my problem.

I might try updating the kernel or just install stock again. The focus doesn't appear to be locked anywhere.
No dust in camera lense?.
hi everybody!
i dont recall the front camera to not zoom (pinch to zoom) before the latest March update. A colleague of mine told me, on his Nokia 5 he cant zoom in anymore with the front camera and neither can i on my N7+. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it something configurable in the settings? Thanks!
aint there anyone who can quicly try zooming with the front camera? If he has the latest update?

Maybe they blocked zoom because the camera is 4MP that create an output of 16MP through interpolation, so the zoom could mess up the process

no, front camera is 16MP
Hello,
How is social media quality ?, does with Snapchat there is a filter apply after the picture has taken ? or it's exactly the same as the viewfinder ? Because with my S20+ there is a filter with the front camera after I take the snap.
Other question, can we take Raw pictures with the Front Camera with the native camera app ?
Thank you.
Up !
I think this is important, because it's the only reason to go for an iPhone according to me.

It is important but don't be "up" this, wait patiently until someone comments on this lol... Remember that at this point people are stressing about the devices and the issues that are happening.
