Front Camera

my front camera will not come on it looks as if the camera was disable. can you tell me how to enable it?

it would help if you gave us some more info. What phone? what carrier? what android version? Are you rooted?

What phone???

This Gcam seems to work fine on Redmi Note 5 Pro (Indian).

I tried this Gcam on Whyred running AOSIP it seems to work without issues currently. Try it out and see if it works.. Its from BSG.

Yep,it works.I tried it on miui 9 (8.1) with camera2api enabled.

As I understand:
Indian - Bug with the front facing camera 5MPX and Portrait and HDR+ Working
Global - Portrait and HDR+ only working in good light conditions and showing 13 MPX for saving photos, otherwise the picture saved it's just a black image

Rear camera blurry/unable to focus?

So I'm not sure when it started as I don't use my camera much. However, whenever i use any application that uses the rear camera (gcam, snapchat, stock camera) the image is very blurry. Dunno if it's because it can't focus or because of something else. Anyone have any suggestions in what to do?

How does it look when you take a normal photo then? Like is should?

I had that with certain kernels, the focus is locked at x distance. I upgraded the kernel (elemental) and it solved my problem.

No it's very blurry

I might try updating the kernel or just install stock again. The focus doesn't appear to be locked anywhere.

No dust in camera lense?.

Live Focus on Rear Camera

Hi guys. I was wondering if someone with a rooted device could answer me this. So, since the A8 has no live focus on rear camera, I wonder if it's possible activating it just by adding the same lines of the selfie camera on the camera-feature.xml file on the rear camera section.
Maybe Samsung could have disabled this. Since like the S8 has just one camera and got the live focus. I don't know, maybe the software really don't support it and I could be wrong.

I have tried that. I get F.C. error specialy when I touch the screen and the camera U.I. is getting slower.

Oh that's sad. Btw, thanks for the answer. Guess I'll have to wait till someone make an workable GCam for the Android pie.

How is the Gcam App?

Let's be honest the 7 Pro is not a very good camera right now. We all know with OnePlus it will take a few updates to get the camera where we want it. I was wondering if the Gcam apk is a better alternative right now or is it still in development for the 7Pro??

Don't know about you guys, but I been taking really good photos with it. Stock app and not even Nightscape.
