Hello,
I made a smart switch full back up when I was on 7.0. I downgraded back to 6.0.1. How can I restore my data? I have been trying to use smart switch but It keeps crashing, did not restore my apps, video, pics, mms or anything. Is there anyway to manually transfer all the files back? or any better software that will properly transfer things? Thanks in advance.

Apps from 7.0 won't run on 6.0.1 which is why you have to factory reset when you downgrade
thanks for your response.
I figured out that I needed to turn off my package disabler and then it properly restored everything.

I've recently wiped my phone and am trying to restore my files. Since the backup isn't compatible i went back to my old rom. However, when i restored, a few apps were missing. I was using Sony's backup and its like they did not recognise my app. What can i do to restore it?

Hi everyone
I received an update notification a couple of days ago and updated my oneplus one to lollipop. however I really don't like it, it messed up with many of of settings(taskers, profiles settings etc) and I want to downgrade now back to how it was before.
I didn't backup before updating, is it possible to downgrade without losing data?
thank you

Yes you can downgrade without losing internal storage data only!
All apps with it's data will be lost
I followed this guide for that :: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-how-to-revert-back-to-cm11s-from-oxygen-guide.290605/
This will work only if you have unlocked bootloader and you are on TWRP recovery(As I tested on it and this works for CMOS12 or any other lollipop based ROM too)
thank you for the reply. Losing apps data it's a problem then, I have apps with data, configurations, settings etc and if downgrading ends up resetting them then it's a problem.

Do you have root? If not, root the device and then you can use Titanium Backup to backup all of your user apps (along with their data), then once you've reverted to KitKat you can root again and use Titanium to restore your apps.
I was rooted using Lollipop on S5 G900W8 and was able to back up files using Samsung Smart Switch. I then flashed CM13 and GApps successfully but when trying to restore the back up files, Smart Switch is saying that the device is not supported. I tried checking the MTP for USB, and allowed USB debugging but to no avail. My bad, I should have created another back up using other apps. Is there any ways to work around this? I just wanna restore the call history and sms mainly. I am tempted to flash stock Marshmallow if it will solve the problem. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
There doesn't seem to be a documented method unfortunately can you convert it to .csv files? if not google would be your friend to see if you could find alternative/3rd party apps to restore .sme files from a backup.
you did try kies already right
I had B360 and then I received two updates back to back to be in B366. Now I don't have WiFi call. Any thoughts? Thanks
Tried factory reset?
Did you updated OTA or through Firmware Finder? Because if it worked before, something must went wrong while updating. Begin to take in consideration the idea of backup app and app data with Titanium backup and perform a factory reset.

I received them as official updates. I'm with metro PCS and I used to have before WiFi call. I don't know what happened and I also don't see any options anywhere
Can somebody show me how to enable WiFi calling since I don't have the option anywhere since updated and I don't know how to enable from now on. Looks like it's gone
Hello,
My GFs phone has suddenly decided to crash almost every app as soon as you open them. I've decided that I'm going restore her phone.
Problem is that I need to backup her text messages. Seeing how SMS Backup and Restore, SMS Backup+, and similar apps won't work, I was wondering if there is a solution to transfer via USB or something similar that doesn't require an app.
Thanks!

Titanium backup does it. provided your phone is rooted.
There is also an app on the pc called syncios. that wont require root
My advice, Since you are already reseting your phone(which is the most tedious step reqd to root) i think you should just unlock bootloader and root and then install stock cm13 or any other rom if you want.
Use bacon root toolkit for the same. google it.

Thanks for your response! Fortunately apps started randomly working again, so I was able to use SMS Backup & Restore to make a backup.
I'm going to help her return to stock CM, because she's on Oxygen OS right now, and turns out they haven't had a security update since 2015 (GULP!).
