My friend's samsung note had an issue with the display recently and she said that it had happened before (like some months ago) and she managed to get it fixed at the repair shop rly cheap, but this time round she had the same issue and when she brought it to them they asked her to change the LCD which would cost much more (close to 50USD??)
she can't afford it cuz her financials arent really doing great, and i was wondering if anyone could help ??
she didnt get it fixed and it kinda magically fixed by itself but a few days later it went back to that^ again and i am slightly skeptical of it being an LCD issue
i checked many threads with similar display issues but i couldnt find pictures of how the screen looks like in those cases... but many people said it was just a flex cable/LCD cable issue
anyone has any similar encounters?? is it fixable by replacing the cable (since its much cheaper to replace i heard)
her screen is like blue/purpleish and doesnt really seem to have any blurry issues whatsoever apart from the colours being really off
You need to change damaged lcd flex cable. Easy to find on ebay

I use to own Palm version of Treo 750 couple of months ago. When I loved device functionality and form factor I couldn't stand it's pale, horrible screen. Couple of days ago I've came across Vodafone version. Asked guy at the store to turn it on just for jokes. To my surprise screen on that unit good as good as screen on HTC Trinity! I was sold! I really wonder if they silently start placing better screen in Treos. Anyone with similar experience?

This is old one
Your backlight was turned off. Just from looking at the screenshot you have, it looks like your backlight was set to very low.

It might. I don't remember condition that I took previous pictures in. But I am pretty sure that colors on the new unit are more vibrant with better contrast.
Hey guys
I picked up a XDA IIs cheaply with a cracked screen from droppage, hoping I might be able to replace the screen with my PDA2k EVDO's (I live in Australia where the CDMA network no longer works)..
Would this be feasable? According to http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomparer There pretty much the same bar GSM functionality and wireless (Which makes the device pretty much useless otherwise).. from what I understand, two identical phones from the same line can have completely different proprietary screens as is the case with some laptops; But I'm unsure of how many competitors and movement would be in the 3.2" TFT market.
I'll let you know of my results when I get around to it.. I'm crossing my fingers I'll get a smart phone with wifi and bluetooth, it would surely crap all over my current 3315

If the LCD screen of Harried looks like this, then maybe you can use it with your BA

My BA's LCD was badly damage before so I have to replace it. I went to a mall and they sold me a new LCD screen of MDA III which is blueangel also.
I do not know where is the right place to post this but I am trying here. Mods can move if so is needed.

My son's ZTE Light V9 tablet dropped and the screen just look like the picture below. What would be the problem?
Is the LCD screen or Touch screen that is bad? I am guessing it is the LCD screen. Can anyone advise and where can I get this replacement?

Many thanks in advance
The LCD screen is definitely screwed, but the touch-screen is probably damaged as well.

Does it worth it to get it replaced or can I get this done myself?
Have a search on Google to see if you can find repair videos or strip-down instructions. It depends on your level of competence as to whether you feel like trying it, but it may cost almost as much to pay for it to be repaired as to buy a replacement.
Many thanks. I havent been able to get any repair videos or instruction. I think I should be able to do it if I can find the parts at reasonable prices
Anyone know where I can get LCD screen for ZTE Light V9? Anyone selling their old one too?

I bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 yesterday and I was using my note today and I started to realize a black mark appearing on the screen and growing. I had the note perched between my thumb and hand right where this mark was appearing and it looked like I was putting pressure on the screen from behind. Is this a known problem? The other thing I was wondering is I just rooted and installed Hyperdrive along with the overclocked kernel, could the processor be over heating and causing a mark on my screen? Otherwise I did buy this tablet returned from Staples and they assured me it was restored to a new condition and this has been a problem all along and I just didn't realize it. Any thoughts on what could have caused this to happen? I am still under warranty and have 13 days to return it to Staples. I really like this tablet and I am hopping that I just got a bad one.
Photo attached. This photo greatly dramatizes the problem.

Have it replaced.
I have not seen this happen at all. Could just be a defective unit.
Yeah, replace it. I have 2, bought one for my brother and also a friend. None of them have this on it....
