Hello community,
my HTC One M9+ is always shutting down when the screen is more than 30s black and no programm is running in the background.
After a reboot the batterie level is the same.
When the phone is charging the this isn't happening.
Because of that i think it's a hardware error, but before I open the phone to change the batterie, I want to look for the software.
This bug is since the buy.
The phone is imported from china and hab already the problem with the always changing mac-adress, but I fixed this.
The bootloader is unlocked, twrp is installed and i have root acess.
Android version is 5.0.2.
Maybe anyone of you had this problem already, and can help me.
Best regards,
Yannik Laufer

Hi, im having trouble with my A9 where the screen would lag and blink everytime something is loading. For example when i turn on my phone, it would blink (turn on and off) at the htc logo. I've tried factory reset and flashing a zip. On settings, when i turn on high performance mode in developer options, the blinking stops but the screen lag doesn't.

Someone posted a custom rom for European models but he disappeared with the link
If you have a US models you can find a stock rom in developer section to see if it's a software bug or hardware, if you have European model then it's time to re-activate the roms topics

I've searched almost everywhere to find a rom compatible with my phone but so far i only found one which is the developer edition. i cant do much until someone eventually uploads a rom that i can use.

Hey Xhozi,
Sorry to hear about that bootloop issue.
For starters if it is a brand new phone with warranty, give it back and get it repaired. They might give u a brand new one (if they do then please dont upgrade it to Android 6).
(At your own risk ->)if you don't have warranty, try downgrading the boot loader and System to Android 5.1.1.
If that doesn't work then, i don't know what to do. Cause I am having the same issue, weirdly if i keep mine in the freezer it works for an hour or half and then again restarts .

There is a long thread concerning this issue, and for me I got the problem solved, but you never know. Just see here https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/help/mm-update-lockscreen-set-to-fingerprint-t3366375 and give it a try.

Hi Everyone,
im sorry if this is in the wrong section. I wasn't able to find the right section to ask for help about getting this update done..
Well here is my story:
Tried to update from 7.1.1 (software Nr: 1.27.401.11) to 8.0 and got an undescribed error symbol. No reason why it stopped or something.
I contacted HTC and after 2 Weeks waiting they respond with "send me your IMEI"
After another 2 weeks they told me to set it back to producer settings and try again.
I did it and nothing changes. Im exhausted I just want to get this update or at least stop those stupid reminders of a new update...
Google can't find good results.
My HTC U11 is a Dual-SIM version if this is important to know. Oh and its unbranded.
hope you guys have some advise.
Thank you in advance!
I had the same issue. I have unlocked bootloader and twrp recovery with magisk. After returning to stock recovery and boot, uninstalling magisk still had 24% issue. I installed stock system with ruu. After that I updated easly to oreo. All data will be lost if you want this method.
Hi thanks for replying. Does this root the System? I have no clue and dont want to lose guarantee.
If you have stock system with lock bootloader then I don't know why you can't install oreo. I unlocked bootloader so my guarantee is void anyway. I just told you what I did in my case. I don't know if you can install ruu with lock bootloader. Maybe someone smarter can tell you something about guarantee.
You can stop the update notification by pressing long on the updation notification then press advance settings or something like that (I have a German Android OS) , then click on the updater icon and then you should be at app settings of the updater, just force close the app. After that you should never see the update notification until you restart your device
same problem
hello. I have same problem. Did you solve?
a year ago i bought the HTC One M8 from a shop in Pakistan, it was working fine no flaws at all, i wanted to update it but it wont update via OTA. then i read about updating stock ROMS i then studied it and applied the procedure, installed new firmware and also stock ROM, then the device stuck on the HANDS ON ACTIVATION, another thing is sprint logo came which did not come since when i bought the phone, then someone suggested me to install a custom ROM
So i then rooted my phone, install TWRP and another Firmware and then a Custom ROM installed successfully and my device turns on and works fine but the problem is now my signals for SIM network are gone. i dont know what happened to them.
Can any one suggest the solution to this problem.
Currently i am running Firmware: 4.25.651.8 and android OS 6.0 sense 7.0, also within 20 minutes my phone restart itself i assume thats the problem with the ROM i installed. Please Help me get out of this situation.
Hi,
I have a HTC U11 (supposedly new but I doubt it).
Its running Android 8.0.0
It keeps trying to install an update and always fails at 24%. Then the phone Boots into some sort of developer mode and stays there.
The details I have so far are:
Software update 2.53.454.13 (792.94)
Here are 2 pics that hopefully show the problem in more detail.
***This is the link. But the system won't allow me to put link here. So just add 'https://' and remove the spaces***

Questions is, whats causing it and is it fixable. I'd like to have the phone update normally (I've had 2 HTC U11's before and never had this problem with them)
Many thanks.
