Hey guys I'm having some ear phone issues
Whenever I buy an earphone it stops working after few months... Why does this happen? Any idea? Is this because of the brand? How long does your earphones last?
Currently I'm thinking of buying https://www.sellist.com/trade/sri_l...mputers-mobile_accessories/earphone--black-81 what do you think?

I started buying only cheap earphones cause they break so freakn fast, never had some over 5 months although I spent quite some money :/

Broken original headset - help !?

Hi folks,
apparently the headset that came with my XDA II device and which I use for listening to my music is in trouble. The left earphone is not working correctly. Most of the time it's completly mute but sometimes I get it to work by playing around and bending the cable right above or beneath the mike (the little thing you use to adjust volume, take and end calls). So I figure it's a loose connection/broken cable. To check on this I'd like to open the microphone part but I don't know how. It looks rather fragile and I don't wanna make things worse.
So what I need is a hint how to safely open this device. And if all fails maybe an address where to get a new headset. There are only a few original headsets on ebay and o2 Germany doesn't sell these headsets.
Thanxs for your replies.
Z.

the headsets on ebay work perfectly well and are a real bargain. bought 5 pcs for 1€ each recently, hope those will last as long as my xda (waiting for it to return from rma).

Searched for XDA 2 headset on ebay UK. Got nothing but the official ones selling at 8 pounds each which is still a major rip off.
Anyone here know of any places to get the official headset (or even an unofficial one that has the mic/control buttons on it?) for a cheap price?

(i900) what speakers should i buy

Hello,i am seriously thinking of getting omnia in june and here is my question i want to buy some speakers to this phone but i don't know which ones, the speakers must be very loud and make a good bass, and also play sound clear so what speakers should i get on ebay for up to 25 pounds.
It's two weeks since i wrote this post and nobody answers could you help me what should i buy.

[Q] So, My Sound Went...

Title says it all.
Im thinking its the actual speaker tho, since if I plug in headphones, I can hear the lock sounds and everything, so would that be safe to say?
I found speakers on ebay for about $5 plus shipping, and was wondering, based on the fact that Im PRETTY SURE its just the speaker, that it would be worth taking a shot ordering one in to see if I can get the sound going again?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks.

It's 5 dollars.
If you fix it, it cost you 5 dollars. If it doesn't fix it, then you just spent 5 dollars more on your new phone. Not that much of a big deal in my opinion, worth risking it.

These free Sony MDR-1R headphones they're giving away...

Right. Who thinks these are actually going to be any good?
http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hps-prestige-headband/mdr-1r
The list price is £299, yet they're GIVING them away with every Xperia Z. I can't see any for sale yet on ebay, but I expect there will be a glut of them throughout March!
I have no interest in them, I'll be selling them straight on, but if I was buying I wouldn't pay more than 10% of the retail price.

Plenty of reviews on the web saying they ARE good headphones.
They're giving them away because they don't cost Sony £299 to make them.
There are some for sale on ebay, with people explaining they won't have them till March. IMO, they will be lucky to get the £150+ they are asking, when you can buy them new with a warranty for £170ish.
Having a good pair of headphones is great, I have a £300 pair of Sennheisers and I'll still be keeping these Sony's.
I wouldn't be complaining about free headphones.... This is a special deal only to people in the UK! Be grateful because some people like myself who live in another country couldn't get this if we wanted to.

Also to people in The Netherlands and probably more countries.
Reviews on these headphones indicate they're excellent quality for the asking price and VERY comfortable. I'm surprised Sony is providing them as I feel they're actually TOO good for something like this, but eh, more power to them for actually doing this.
I hope Canadians get something nice when we get the ZL

Seriously? Even at their RRP they are pretty good headphones that are suited for almost all kinds of music. They really sound pretty good, they look great and they are probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever tried. What kind of headphones do you usually use then?
Im not going to get them cause i'll buy my Xperia without that deal ( not from carrier ) but i'd love to have them so if any of you want to sell theirs for reasonable price via ebay - i might be interested

I hope we get something with the ZL as well.... But knowing how much of an asshole the Canadian providers are.... There probably won't even be a preorder. If you really want these headphones it might be worth ordering from three with a 1 month contract... If they will even internationally ship it.

I can't get on with over-the-ear heapdhones at all - I just don't find them comfortable. I have a pair of Sennheiser in-ear buds that are a couple of years old but they produce really good quality sound and I can wear them all day comfortably.

If you're still interested when I have them, then I'm happy to talk about it
These are great headphones, I own a pair... For F***s sake, now I'm mad cause I bought them about 6 months ago.
If you're 100% certain for this phone You should pre-order for the headphones, they're a great piece of cans. One of the best I've tried.
I was planning to wait to buy it and wait for some price drops... If I just didn't buy these headphones. I would've made a great deal
Oh well - Sh** happens.
i mean look at the reviews on amazon http://goo.gl/GIUab they look to be pretty good
only 17 reviews but 15 of them are either 4 or 5 stars which isnt to bad
I have the headphones, still sealed and boxed. They're on ebay, but if anyone's interested, PM me with an offer?

I live in holland and we had the same pre-order deal here.... So i got one, a silver one. Not sure if other countries offered the same.
wow, look at the prices of these on ebay.
Before the XZ came out, these were selling for lik £180, now there's so many, they're going for like £70-80!
might be time to buy some.
it annoys me giving money to scalpers, but then, they're gonna get less than half of what they wanted for them!
They're actually very good headphone, however is anyone else having problems with the volume up & down buttons?
On mine they don't do anything the play/pause button works fine tho.

The remote control is designed to work with iOS devices such as iPhone, iPad ect. It don't necessarily work on Android.
I just use the cable without the remote control.

Well that makes no sense, Sony headphones bundled with a Sony phone...... works better with an iphone!!
I'll probably still use the cable with the remote at least I can play/pause with it.
Just use the normal cable with a Sony bt heidset, atleast then the phone has no cables...

BEST HEADphone for my note 4 FROM XIAOMI

hello guys i got a headphone from china which is so well build and gives so fine sound.
if you want to share this with you
http://www.gearbest.com/earphones/pp_182191.html
i got it from here because they only sell 100 % original to good prices
ah pay with paypal so you safe twice
I guess you're a child or young teenager since you bought the "Youth" model. Those probably wouldn't be the best option for the majority of XDA users, though.
In my opinion, the best Xiaomi earbuds are these http://m.gearbest.com/earphones/pp_169225.html, though I definitely would NOT buy from that site...
I bought a pair of the piston 3 lately, really good stuff for only $17. Bought 3 more for my coworkers and an extra pair as backup. Got them from geekbuying, and it shipped to me in NYC in a week.

I use the piston II inner ear phones. Awesome for the ridiculous price and a darn site better than the Seinheisers AND BOSE I have.
For headphones I use Sony MBT 10DBR
i have the piston 3 after a month the head jack comes off although everything still works fine but it looks ugly now. i would not buy them again even though they sounded great. i have the piston 2 it lasted over 6 months.
