What's the best rootable mini tablet (~8")? - General Questions and Answers

I'm thinking about picking up a mini sized tablet (~8"), preferably that's rootable and will run Oreo, and was wondering what people would recommend.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Looking to get chromebook. Would you guys get 2015 Pixel LS, Pixelbook or Samsung Pro? I would want to keep around $7-800 but could go little higher. Or get something else? Any recommendations? Use will be primarily for surfing and light things like media.
Thank you!

Finding out phone hardware before buying

Hey there,
I hope this is the right place for my question. I want to buy a new phone (moto g5 oder Nokia 3 ... maybe). I would like to know what's in these phones before buying one of them. I don't mean specifications like: it has the following senors, but the manufacturer of these sensors. I really have no idea where to find these infos or if they even exist somewhere.
Thanks alot

Which brand is the best moddable?

Dear forum,
I am a long term iPhone-User who tends to switch to Android and is fascinated with the possibilities of modding. I also finished my first "project" and rooted/unlocked/customromed an old i9250 from a friend w/ 7.1.2 rom.
As an iPhone user, i am somewhat spoiled with years-long software-updates and i want to stay this way when i'm switching to android.
For now, i researched like 6 months which brand is the best moddable, but the results so far are a little bit depressing.
I can barely find ANY mod for ANY device that does not suffer from "bugs" that make it unusable like battery drain/no 4G/bad camera quality/wifi problems/old Android version/speed problems.
So far, i consider the best moddable devices are from xiaomi and - in a limited way - oneplus.
So I'm asking you, if money and specs ain't a thing and you focus in softwareupdates, which brand would you choose? Is there something i have overseen? Is my attitude wrong, is it normal in android-world to live with the above bugs?
Would appreciate a good advice/critics.

NVidia Shield or 2014 Note 10.1?

As the title suggests- which one would you rather have?
I'm currently liking the Note 10.1 better, merely for screen resolution.
It'll be used for movies and things on the boat.
The Note 10.1 seems to be able to upgrade to Nougat too, from LineageOS, whereas NVidia already has Nougat.
NVidia has the better processor though, correct?

Easy to root uk tablet recommendations

Hi,
I’m hoping to get some help with reasonably priced tablets that are easy to root.
I purchased a hauwei media tab but then saw that they’re not giving out the unlock codes for the bootloader. So I’m returning that and hoping to pick something up which is a little easier to root!
Could anyone recommend tablets around £150-£200 which are pretty easily rooted?
Thank you!

Buy any nexus and download wugfresh nexus root toolkit. Super easy to do. The tablets are old but will do the job. You just plug your tablet into the USB and it guides you through everything.
