I flashed Android M developer preview using mac which was successful. Then I tried to root the device by flashing supersu.
(I tried it before there was an update). Now the nexus 5 is stuck in a bootloop. I have TWRP recovery installed. I wiped dalvik cache. I wiped system. Now I am trying to flash factory images of android 5 lollipop. Can anyone help please?

Just flash a custom ROM with .zip format ? You have TWRP, so it should work.
Can I flash factory image of lollipop? Will it solve the boot loop problem?

Technically if you wipe data and flash any Lollipop ROM it will solve the bootloop. Flashing stock L via fastboot works too.
Flashed stock L via fastboot. Out of the boot loop. Thanks!
We have root! Despair kernel. Flash kernel, SuperSU 2.49, install busybox :good:

I've got a similar problem
I had already rooted my Nexus 5 5.1.1 (lmy48m), then a few days ago I got a OTA-notification. I knew that rooting modifies the system, and so I wasn't able to update to Marshmallow. But some reflashing of system and recovery to stock, allowed me to update via OTA to 6.0. Everything was working, except root. So I thought doing the same routine in Lollipop with CF-Auto-Root would give me back my working SuperSu.
I was wrong. I'm now stuck in bootmode(no bootloop since it doesn't restart, it only tries to boot with no success) and don't want to download all my backups from Google Drive, so I hope flashing system.img and recovery.img of Marshmallow will fix the bootproblem.
I'll post my result later.
Wish me luck

Hello Guys,
I need serious superuser help.
Trying to flash a custom ROM, screwed up my IMEI and baseband.
Now I get a null IMEI and a Baseband Unknown on the phone's info.
I reflashed to 6.0.1 stock using the methodology of this thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/development/g920f-android-marshmallow-6-0-1-beta-t3293941
I also flashed a few different custom ROMs without any success.
I rooted and installed Wanam Xposed and IMEI Changer, (Using this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/development/mod-wanamlite-1-0-t3095155) but even if the IMEI is showing right this time, the baseband still shows as "unknown" and the phone won't get any signal.
Before flashing the ROM for the first time, I kept a backup of the EFS. I restored it with TWRP but still no love....
I have read countless threads over google but I haven't manged to solve it.
Can someone help?
Did you back up EFS with TWRP? Some other tool?

Yes, TWRP I have the efs.emmc.win and md5 file.
I tried to restore with TWRP but still no love. .
Guys ,anyone? At this point I am really prepared to try anything
Last thing I tried is getting a full Nandroid backup from a fully working G920F and restored onto my own phone.
Still no love. Factory reset, wiped cache and data from TWRP but still no love.
What could be the issue then???
have you tried smart switch ??
It gives me an error when I am trying to setup the device initialisation:
"Unable to find the serial number, model name or IMEI on the Server. Please check and try again"
Have you tried using ODIN to install the latest stock image? That did the trick for my old S5 that had an IMEI issue. I highly recommend using the SamFirm tool from this site to download stock images directly from Samsung.

I used SamFirm and downloaded three different stock roms for the UK and one for the nordic countries. They all pass from Odin but the phone does not boot. I get
"DM-verity verification failed" and
Need to check DRK first" and the phone won't boot up ....
Is this error because I am trying to install a wrong CSC ROM ? Or an incompatible ROM ? I can't figure it out.
I believe the dm-verity error means you've got the wrong ROM. You need to download the firmware for the device/region your phone is.

The way of fixing DRK that I know is via box (Octoplus, Z3X, etc.), but often IMEI gets reseted in the process (at least it was in my case).
If DRK is damaged, phone won`t boot without a custom kernel (which trips knox on Android versions 5.1.1 and above), if DRK is fixed, phone can boot with stock kernel.
In SmartSwich I suppose you used IMEI from back of the phone without / right? And for model you used SM-G920F (or whatever model you have) in capital letters?

At this point I am stuck...
Stuck in a ****tier place than what I started.
Last thing I tried before my phone died was trying to install the latest Stock marshmallow ROM for my device. The one I downloaded via SamFirm passed Oding but never booted.
Since then, I have tried to flash 12 other ROMS with different CSCs (yes 12) from BTU (which my phone is supposed to be) to VIR , to O2U to TEN. Nothing worked!
I had kept a nandroid backup of a ROM that was working (5.1.1 without IMEI or baseband) and even that does not boot now either.

This sounds logical. Do you have a box? Where did you fix your DRK? And I don't think I really care about the IMEI at this stage, right?

Did you do a factory reset in recovery, immediately after flashing the correct stock ROM in Odin, and before booting into the ROM? Uncheck auto reboot in Odin, when flashing is done, power & vol- to turn phone off, then boot into recovery.
Sometimes it's the simplest things that help.

I did exactly what you described. Only issue is that as soon as the phone boots, it won't let me enter recovery immediately. Before entering, I see the Green/blueish Android screen trying to install something. It stops at about 33% and it says "erasing" and only then can I enter recovery. To which point, I can erase the cache and wipe data but the phone won't boot onto the System. It just hangs there.
Not erase cache & data, factory reset.

So I've got my phone into a useless bootloop.
I unlocked and rooted without much issue except that I lost Google Play Services somehow during the process. I tried a factory wipe from TWRP to see if that made a difference but I think that wiped system.
I've tried the dload method with updates but nothing has worked so far - they all fail at 5%, one got to 33% and failed.
I've tried flashing custom roms, but I don't think there's a system to flash them to.
I've tried the erecovery, obviously that does nothing.
I've tried extracting the update.app and flashing boot, system and recovery, boot flashes but system doesn't, no matter what update I use. I don't want to lose TWRP because at the moment that's too valuable to me.
I need help. I'm out of ideas. I don't have a clue what to try next. I can't use FunkyHuawei.
Edit: I should have mentioned, my model is MHA-L09

I did factory reset in TWRP, but modifications to /system were enabled so my guess is I wiped /system.
I did format data afterwards, with/system modification off.
I tried extracting /system from update.app with the Huawei Extractor program but fastboot won't load system.img for whatever reason.

Ah, Factory reset. Yeah that apparently you shouldn't do. I don't know why as it's only supposed to wipe data and cache, but it seems to wipe more stuff as well.
What's your full model and build? MHA-L09CxxByy

I guess you could try the SHIELD ROM under custom roms, that should at least get you back into your phone.
If not your only option is Funky or wait til we get more offline dload roms. Or rebrand and install one of the 2 existing offline dloads.

If you did a backup in twrp you could try flashing that to boot up the phone, you may also need to flash the public and hw-data zips for your firmware version as well, then you could update in phone settings and factory reset in stock recovery to get everything working.
You could also try to use the dload method with the C636 offline firmware to get your phone to boot up. Then use firmware finder to install L09C432B126 for your phone. Then factory reset in stock recovery. Then use the update in phone settings to update to the latest B138 and then B156 for L09C432. This is what I had to do once when in a boot loop. Then you can unlock bootloader, flash twrp, format data, flash decrypted L09C432B156 boot.img, flash superuser, and flash public and hw-data zips for L09C432B156 to get everything working

Data partition has three things which must not be cleared.
/data/cust - symlink to /cust/hw/your_customization
/data/custom.bin - text config with your_customization
/data/product.bin - text config with model name
When you doing factory reset in TWRP, it is deleting all above. But without this info, phone will not boot up.

whats your phone model L04 - L02 - L??
what was the last software version you had working
You need to download a full update package for your device from Huawei's website, unpack UPDATE.APP into a folder on an external SD card named /dload/ ("/dload/UPDATE.APP"). Get a stock recovery image for your model and firmware, plug into computer after setting up ADB and fastboot, "fastboot reboot bootloader". In bootloader with RECOVERY.IMG in the same folder as ADB and fastboot, "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". Power off phone, hold down vol up + vol down + power until you see the phone update dialog, then release, and all will go back to normal.

Hello everyone,
I really need some insight on where I am going wrong on trying to flash system.img. I have been trying it for quite some time, some system.imgs cannot load as greeted by ADB, as for the native system.img, it flashes gracefully, I reboot to recovery, wipe cache partition, do a factory reset, and reboot only to find my device suffering a boot loop. This procedure worked out for my friend, @oreopie , but for some odd reason won't just work for me. I end up in a boot loop every time I flash the same system.img he flashed. We were in the same boat, on lineage, and this should've worked for me.
I tried flashing other system.img files from other relative zips, but ADB returns the error: CANNOT LOAD SYSTEM. I have tried my best to solve this and allow adb to load in chunks but no commands work whatsoever. Can someone please tell me what is it that I am doing wrong enough to be embraced by a bootloop?
