I googled and found something from March but has anyone else had this issue and fixed it. It seems like it just started yesterday but I've had the phone a week.

Use your stock messenger app and see if you have a problem, if you don't the problem is with that hacky crap in Facebook messenger. Personally I don't give anything from Facebook more permissions than I absolutely have to
Yup, it's the fb app for sure =/. Has no issue on my Nexus 6 but on M9 it does. Oh well

Anyone knows where to find a changelog for this version? The facebook group was last updated last thursday...
Im looking for a changelog as well, doesnt seem to be any. But judging from the user comments, i guess it fixes some bugs with the notifications on some of the new froyo phones.
I noticed in settings I no longer see an option to sync with contacts

Not a true changelog, but figure i'd share:
Facebook for Android: Hi folks, an updated Facebook for Android 1.3.2 app is now available for download. It now has support for the Android 1.5 OS. The update also includes some additional bugfixes. Enjoy!

Yup, same for me, now it's fixed, thank god!
I'm not sure if this problem was brought up by 1.3.2 but I'm having an issue where long messages with more than one person in them aren't being entirely shown. For example if a message between 30 people goes on for more than 30 responses I only see the previous 30 responses in the official app. Anyone else have this problem?
"neebie" how do you even sync your contacts? coming from a htc hd2 im pretty lost

Yep, same occurs for me. I've been commenting on that in my review for the past few releases, hoping someone from Facebook would see it.
Still not fixed though.

I was using HTC Sensation before. The contact picture from Facebook of my friends would show up on Handcent. For some reason, this isn't the case on my HTC One S. I tried to login on Facebook and didn't work. Was wondering if anybody has a solution? Thanks.
Not sure if this will work but apparently there's some restrictions on facebook contact photos. I found an app called Photo Unlocker that made them show up in whatsapp for me when they previously wouldn't. It's not on the play store anymore for some reason though but I'm sure you can find it elsewhere.
It is the same for whatsapp. I saw the facebook picture of the contact and now it doesn't.
I believe it has something to do with ICS, there is no option to sync fb contacts with any of my devices running ICS. Things are fine with older firmware like GB or HC.
It worked on my HTC Sensation when i updated to ICS though.
you may as well find the photo unlocker software and see if it helps for you. It certainly fixed whatsapp pictures for me.
Anyone on ICS will have this issue as for some reason Facebook has an issue giving permissions to 3rd party app's...
This means no photos from facebook will show up in Handcent...
MAJOR FAIL....
Handcent has been claiming that they will get it fixed ASAP... yet, it's been over a month or two... no fix...

Just got my nex5 yesterday.
I am signed in and all settings including the ones within the chrome app are set to sync.
The problem is that all my bookmarks are not showing up on my n5.
They work just fine on my Gnex and Nex7 and also the desktop browser...
The only thing I can think of is that the chrome app on the n5 is a higher version number than the one on the play store.
If I recall it is 30.0.1599.105 on the nex5 and 30.0.1599.92 on the gnex.
Anyone else experiencing this? This is a major issue for me as I use my bookmarks a lot
Nobody else has this issue? Is everyone's phone running the same version of chrome?

I had the issue so I went into my google account, 'un-synced' chrome, waited a minute, re-synced and bookmarks showed up after a minute or less. Hope this helps
I'm experiencing this is as well... I haven't tried hobakill's solution yet though.
I did try that, I will try again... I wonder what's causing it?

I had this problem too and just solved it by disconnecting my Google account in chrome settings and then signing back in.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I can't find it, maybe because the new update for messenger?I really want it and i can't find it.Thanks
the last tab on the right(circle with person). scroll down midway, chat heads. It really isn't that hard to find and nothing to do with the HTC U11.
Do you think if it was there i would have started this thread?I know it should be there but it isnt.It is my first HTC phone and i was thinking maybe its different
Here. Im on the latest update and its here. Doesnt really relate to htc u11 though.

Who knows why you started this thread? It is there in Facebook Messenger. It would have nothing to do with having an HTC U11 phone. Try uninstalling and reinstalling. Technically it is not Facebook Messenger anymore.
Messenger - Text and Video Chat for Free
You're just a bad boy.I'm trying to solve my problem.Maybe somebody else has the same problem. Zeke sent that screenshot and i'm missing that ChatHeads and Free Messenger. The phone was bought yesterday and has preinstalled Messenger on it.I can't uninstall because its on the phone.I can only deactivate.I did a factory reset earlier on and i have the same problem

I don't have Free Messenger either, however I have chat heads and can uninstall the app. might be different apps we are talking about.
confirmed as all replies above: absolutely can enable the chat head.
But I don't have the free messenger option. I think it's regional enabled, not for all. But chat head is for all.

The proof that chat heads is missing
Update : One Plus 5 has the same problem. So thats something from the meseenger app
I'm researching and found someone had the same question back in June but I didn't see an answer. My nexus 6 has it in the fb messenger app so maybe Huawei is only allowing another version of the app? Anyone fix this issue?

I uninstalled the app then reinstalled and got the option. Strange that it was up to date before, oh well.
