[Q] camera issues !?

anyone having cammera issues !?
for me sometimes exactly when u needing it it jumps out off the program, and the camera on the phone seems to have focusing problem that causes the crash,
any one !?

Happened to me the other day, it crashed out 3 times, restarted phone, it crashed again then HTC error report came up, sent in and the camera worked.. That was last saturday, hasn't happened again.

why is that so !?
in my view its definitely a software issue, some difficulty between the camera hardware and the software, cuz i tried the restoring to default factory settings and it did work out well, camera started workin but after some time like 4 days same issues again !!!!!!! ??????? plss

have you tried clearing the cache of the camera app?
mine working flawlessly. have no such issue yet.

I had the same problem, first i heard strange sounds from the focus, a mechanic like.
After few reboots and testing suddenly the camera doesn't start.
A lot of reboots later i finished doing a factory reset.
It worked for a day, then again the same problem.
But i find the problem, my camera doesn't work with 8mp settings it auto close, btw with 1920x1080 in camcorder works but doesn't record the video.
I've just remember that problems start after installing lgcamera i think.
EDIT: after trying root without unlocking bootloader (i read it works) following this tuto ww.briefmobile.com/how-to-root-htc-one-x-att now i can use 8mp and full hd video recording. it's annoying
EDIT 2: now it isn't working anymore

the same thing exactly happens to me every time i restart the phone, the cam app opens
makes some strange noise like trying to fucos or something, then the app closes with no error. and when u try that again, after 4-5 times the app doesnt open at all
!!! contacted with htc they said reset the phone, i did but same things again, contacted again and they said go to our store , but my phone is guarantyless cuz i rooted it

Just lock your boot loader and restore stock Rom and you'll be good. A lot of people have traded their phones in this way.

in other forum i read that corrupt video or image can cause the close-app i remove them and also a high bitrate fullhd video and then the cam is working, often the focus noise still

My HTC one S camera crash. Every time I touch the camera icon to open it, the phone reboot itself. I sent several report to HTC, didnt help. And my phone reboot itself several times a day. I did use HTC all in one package to root my phone. Can anyone help me ?

Hi guys ,i just change my lcd last month coz of the old lcd failure to operate as usual,everything is ok after replacing the lcd ,but the major prob is i canot open the camera, it will restart if i touch the camera icon ,again and again :crying:,could some one tel why it happen????? thanx...

What ROM are you using? Can you link to the XDA development thread where you got it?
I had a similar problem with CyanogenMod-7.2.0-MilestoneXT720-20120506-KANG and I installed LittlePhoto. I still get some crashes, but not as bad as before. (Unfortunately, LittlePhoto also mutes my phone when it takes a picture which triggers Phone Silencer.)
To see what's actually going wrong, you can use logcat to listen to what the phone is complaining about. Info in this thread. logcat will give you error messages and callstacks for crashing programs.

[Q] App drawer fading and speaker mode on during a call issues?

I'm on stock 4.3 and having 2 issues:
1. Sometimes when I access the app drawer I get a faded display over the apps like in the attached image, have to mention the printscreen is not from my phone but it's the exact same problem.
2. Sometimes during a call the speaker mode turns on and smashes my ear.
Is there someone else having one of this problems? If yes, did you manage to solve them?

Ohh thats my pic, and I still ahve this problem, as well as not being able to change the phone icon as you can see. in fact the phone app keeps asking for root permission which i think is weird. and there is no notification preview. im almost temppted to go back to 4.2.2

Youtube problem when I but full screen

If I but it full screen the option showing smaller like there is bug you can see it in the picture

The change and I need nothing show
Alos u can see it in the picture
I tray LG Device and no problem on it

Is it possible that you have YouTube with resolution optimization on Boost+? Because in my case, for instance, if I set the resolution optimization for Samsung Internet Browser (Beta), it becomes unable to go full screen with its built-in video player.

I'm also having this problem, it started happening after the last couple of Youtube update. I tried clearing cache and rebooting many times. Guess we have to just wait till Google start getting their ****s together.

I Update The youtube to the last update
Then the problem come again ?
So I remove it until we get solution for silly problem.

Question Instagram video story weird tapping sound issue, does this happen to anyone else ? Is my device faulty ? - Snapdragon version

Hi y'all, hope you're having a great day.
On S22 Ultra when I record a video inside Instagram stories or Snapchat, the recorded video starts with a loud tapping sound. It doesn't happen on the camera app. Why is this happening ? Is it a software or hardware problem ? Can someone please check if it's only happening on me by shooting a video on Instagram stories ? — I'm using the Snapdragon version.
I really don't want this to be a hardware issue I bought the phone yesterday and I don't know what to do if it's a hardware issue, I don't want to send it for a repair since it's a brand new phone and this phone costed even more in my country. Can someone try please ?

Maybe someone who has Instagram or Snapchat (unfortunately I don't) will chime in. Does the audio record normally after the initial pop with no other distortions? Have you tried other social media sites/ apps to try to replicate this? If you have and haven't heard it then it might be just the apps themselves and hopefully updates might address this bug in the future.

It records normally after that first second pop, and it only happens on Instagram and Snapchat from what I see. It happens on both front and back camera. It doesn't happen on the camera app. I really hope someone tries it, and it's not a hardware issue.

Not hardware issue, more of a IG issue. I guess that's IG turning on the microphone. Just tested with the same result, and noticeable louder if you have headphones on prior recording.

By same result do you mean it did the same noise as mine ?

Yes, there was a tap at the beginning

have you tried to uninstall and reinstall instagram?

it sounds like IG is turning on the Mic when you attempt to record a video

Yeah, nothing changed. Did it happen to you too like on my video ? This shouldn't happen normally. I don't think the problem is on Instagram since Snapchat does the same.

still not a hardware issue per se, more of a program issue, other programs do not have this issue so it might be apps that will need to develop a fix or samsung needing to software fix this. and since the camera app is fine, it points to apps needind to make adjustments

Samsung Members app.
but then again this happens only on 3rd party apps so not sure what Samsung can do there as it would be the app developers who need to fix this.

samsung members app > get help > error report. Reproduce the issue first and don't group with any other issues when submitting a ticket.
