Stupidly managed to smash the front glass on my Honor 6 plus while on holiday. I've been quoted 90 GBP for a repair, but that's about half what a new phone would cost. I can get the glass and tools very cheaply. Does anyone know if I can replace the glass only (screen and digitiser are fine) without completely dismantling the phone?

Does the screen get scratched easley without the default screen protector?
Good question, I don't normally use a screen protector but since this one was already on the phone I left it on.
Now the protector has several scratches and marks on so I am wondering the same about the screen if I remove the protector.

Does it gets scratches on daily usage.
My friend got 7X, launched together with V10, he has been using the phone without screen protector.
He has few minor scratches on the screen.
This make me wonder if honor might have used the same quality of screen on both devices then definitely it will not resist minor scratches.
On the other hand V10 and 7X are totally different phones, V10 being the flagship and 7X being the mid-ranger.
Nothing can be said certainty.

Screen test is quite surprising.
The rest of the tests are totally expected from any phone if you take a knife to the ports etc so not the least surprising and don't need the tests to tell what it is made from, you can tell anyways.
Good to see camera lens survives.

Hve been using my honor-view-10 without any screen guard for two months now, no scratches n marks till now. Hving said tht, I do take extra care while handling phone

But even an old gorilla glass 3 can stand against this test
have a problem appearing on the stain on the screen,

Hi so ive purchased a 2nd hand M5 tablet . 10.8 it looks good , but im confused and concerned .
im aware this as a 2d glass , so the edges curve into the bezel , but my purchase seems to have a slit curve throughout the display , almost like it curves inwards in the centre , like a curved TV .
so the edges as per attached photos are slightly higher than the centre of the tablet... see attched
theres no creaks cracks damage nothing so is this how its designed .? View attachment 4793429
Nope. It looks like the body of the tablet is slightly bent away from the glass screen. They should be completely flush with no gap.
Someone might have disassembled that tablet for some reason or it was damaged in some other way.
