I just bought a 3G SIM card from AT&T who is not my carrier but I do have an unlocked TyTn. My current carrier doesn't support 3G yet but will do so in the near future.
Is it possible to copy or clone my current SIM card onto the AT&T SIM and get 3G services while roaming on a 3G network? If so, how can it be done? Or is it even possible?
Thanks!
I unlocked my MyTouch 4g (Glacier) and I want to use my Verizon sim card in it but it does not detect Verizon in the network operators. How do I get verizon on there? Is it possible? I thought unlocking it would allow me to do this.

Verizon does not use 'SIM' cards
as 'SIM' cards are used for GSM networks and Verizon is a CDMA provider

I did google this extensively. The phone that I have here is on the verizon network and has a sim card. Why would I make that up?

Verizon is a CDMA network. The SIM card is there because the phone you have also has a GSM radio for traveling overseas. However, just because it says "Verizon" on the SIM card doesn't mean your phone connects to Verizon when you roam. It's actually connecting to Vodafone when you're roaming in most countries. That's what the SIM card slot is for. Now if you unlocked that phone, you could use it on T-Mobile or AT&T if you set it to GSM Mode.
That Verizon phone will work in the US and Canada whether or not that SIM card is in there. It's impossible to get a GSM phone (your MyTouch 4G) to work on a CDMA network (Verizon).

Thank you for the real explanation and not being a jerk about it, as I did not know this.
It sucks that I cant use it but now I know.
Hypothetically speaking, if you were to take a 4G LTE SIM card out of a Verizon tablet that has a dedicated tablet data plan and place that card in a Verizon smartphone, would said smartphone be limited to only 4G LTE data, or would it also have access to 3G/2G/1x as well?
Please no guesses or assumptions- just need to know if the data received on the device is based on the sim card or on internal radios for Verizon.
Thanks!

Besides T Mobile and their unlimited 2g / edge options after your 4G LTE data package, what other options are there 4 more value when it comes to getting data? What data SIMs or phone SIMs are you trying? someone in another thread mentioned that they were successfully able to use a tmobile phone sim as T Mobile's customer service apparently recognizes the LTE version of the shield tablet as a phone and not a tablet. I know currently no T Mobile cell phone plans offer unlimited data unless you go through their friend referral program and even then you have to be porting in a new number to get the 4G LTE unlimited for 1 year i believe. It really is too bad they didn't allow this tablet to support bands 25 26 and 41 otherwise I would be golden on Sprint lol. EDIT: I guess there is an $80 unlimited 4G LTE phone plan available but I don't know if its compatible with this tablet.
I wanted to know if I can take an AT&T sim card (contract account) and use it in a straight talk phone?
Thanks
