My understanding is it needs to be on the website for full price. But it does not hurt to submit a claim
I am still waiting to get my code,.. it is not fast turn over

They are VERY slow releasing code. Probably will be December or longer before most people get theirs
I waited a week then I inqueried them with fb because I don't know the status . They told me I cannot get a coupon since mine was bought with the dropped price. That is because the phone arrives after one month and activate it too late. I shown my ordered receipt then finally received the code.
Hope release ocean color ASAP ...

Thanks for that - i've been waiting for play.com to have a 10% discount which would have only bought the price down to £432(approx).
This is a great price - i only hope they don't say its a mistake as it looks like one (its cheaper than the Diamond which is £363.39).
It Should arrive on Thursday - just ordered it now.

I've decided to give a WM phone a go again and ordered myself.
To start with I'll just use it with a data sim, to see what its like, as you can't knock a blackberry for staying in touch with IM etc, but Im just so bored of the crap browser experience and lack of software like Live Mesh, which I use one hell of a lot to keep things synced.
I'll use both for a few weeks and see how it goes.

Not even a offer of a good will gesture, I'm going to check out if they can do that, especially I can prove it was out for delivery.

Had they sent emails to you both confirming dispatch? If so then then I guess they had entered into a contract with you... talk to Trading Standards for a firm answer....

I don't have proof of that - but i do have a receipt, and they did take money out of my account.
Then without my permission carried out a refund transaction. I trying to find out how to contact trading standards but in the mean time i am going to try to reason with sellers.
In a retail store, if a product is tagged as a cheaper price by mistake, then the retailer has to give it at that price.
If Handtec had debited your back account/credit card account, then they had entered into a contract with you to supply that item at that price. Speak to both Trading Standards and Handtec about it and make sure you can demonstrate that they had taken your dosh. All you did is select a product on Handtec's website in good faith and, for their part, it would appear that they too entered into that contract to suppply it, so I suggest they honour it!
EDIT: http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk, and they should have an entry in your local phone book. Kent is 0845 7585497 (just in case - good luck!)

Thats not true. Most big stores (such as Tesco) will sell you at the quoted price for the good will. By Law they infact have something like 24 hours to correct the price once notified by a customer, during which time they can sell at a different price than is quoted.
That is really bad!
I thought maybe it had something to do with stock levels, but if it got to the depot, you think they would have realised!

Buy the camera and phone from Essential.com (link and steps in the Reddit link), reserve the 360 camera for $50 at checkout, stop there. Just don't buy the phone if you don't want a 2nd one.
I pre-ordered via Sprint for the 50% off lease for 18 months. I also followed these steps to reserve the camera. I got an email about my reservation for $50. I didn't get to put in any purchase info at that point yet. Instead, a follow-up email to complete my order came. Upon checkout, I am in fact purchasing the 360 camera for $50.
I did this as well. Order processed. Fingers crossed they dont cancel. I spoke to their support about this. They goofed my reservation and the camera wasnt showing. I got impatient and went the Sprint route and they emailed me last night to reserve the camera and they would send me the checkout info. I told them i ordered the phone already and they said no problem. So it looks like it processed properly
Thanks for this. Seemed to work as I had already reserved a camera earlier. I was disappointed that I wouldn't get to try this camera out as I wouldn't pay 200 for out.

Yeah I ordered mine last night and it was 179! Surprisingly the email I got from them said it's still $50, so I contacted them hoping I could get it for 50 since that's what the email says, but I haven't heard back from them, but from what I'm seeing on Twitter... They don't get back to u that quickly or often.... ?

I ended up sending them a long rant about their delays and that i ended up getting the phone from Sprint to avoid delays. Long story short, gave them my Sprint Info and IMEI/SN and said the experience has been terrible and hope the honor the price even though i ended up buying through a more reliable outlet:

While it's nice for them to offer this to us early adopters, it really doesn't benfit us unless they release the dock or other accessories by Dec 15th.

Still waiting on them to release the gray and green version. Already have the phone so I am waiting for the dock and or smart home hub. It's nice that they at least gave us early adopters a bone. But without new accessories it really is a waste for us. They have dropped the ball before, so hoping they don't do it again. :/ They have allot of potential I just hope they get there. Also hopefully the lower price leads to more developers jumping in on the device and helping to get the developer section in this community going.

I did not. the seller had the phone until this morning. i asked for the IMEI and he said i would get it when it comes in the mail. so basically can't make the request until i get the imei. i have sneaky suspicion that he may have claimed.... he knew all about the promotion when i sent him a message.
I am just going to get another phone.
I don't think I'm going to bother with the charging pad if they release it in time seeing I keep the phone in a case anyway.
Sent out the info for my credit to Essential, and called Best Buy this morning and got them to price match the new price since I was within my return window (the credit has already shown up on my card).
So I got $200 back from Best Buy and will get $200 credit from Essential. Sweet.

Did you ever sign up for beta builds on the essential website? If so, did you check "send me offers and promotions" when you submitted your email? I'm assuming this is how you get on the mailing list. (I may be wrong)

I'm not sure. I have been on the beta builds as soon as they launched, and was getting OTA updates as well.
Amazon sells it $100 cheaper every day. Maybe there will be a better price from Amazon or BestBuy for a short of time. Stay tuned.
