Trying to shoot HDR but surprised that the only parameters that can be used to apply the exposure changes are ISO & shutter speed. Where is the aperture priority? Surely both of these change the aperture &, therefore, affect the depth of field & focussing of the HDR series? Am I missing something here?
Best,
Ray

No 2. OnePlus Camera 2.5.34
No 1. Google Camera 4.1.006.135988111
Never miss a moment with Google Camera, and take fantastic pictures using features such as HDR+ and Smartburst.
Features
• HDR+ - Take pictures using HDR+ to capture fantastic photos, especially in low-light or backlit scenes.
• Video Stabilization - Capture exceptionally smooth videos even if your hands shake.
• Smartburst - Hold down the shutter button to automatically capture a stream of photos and make moving GIFs.
• Photo sphere - Create immersive spherical photos.
• Lens Blur - Add elegant background blur (bokeh) to close-up pictures.
• Slow Motion - Capture action in epic slow motion video (up to 240fps on some supported devices).
Is there any information about what exact parameters camera uses for each of 13 recognizeble scenes? E.g., does the camera try to increase shutter speed in 'Performance' mode to prevent motion blur? Or does the camera use scene recognition for post-processing only?
Is anyone aware of a mod that would enable us to save to raw format with full 48 megapixel resolution? That would be amazing.
It's not a "full" 48mp sensor anyway. The color resolution is 12mp only, so I doubt you will get much better images using 48mp Raw :good: Quote:
"The sensor is characterised by its 48MP resolution and ability for 4:1 pixel binning into 12MP. The actual sensor’s colour filter is a quad-bayer setup, meaning the real chromatic spatial resolution is 12MP anyway, and the 48MP mode is enabled via pre-processing on the sensor itself, really only achieving chromatic spatial resolution equivalent to about ~27MP. OnePlus here does things better than a lot of other vendors; the 48MP simply isn’t available outside of the Pro mode, and I suggest users to just avoid using it at all."
(From Anandtech review, it's very thorough, as ever)
