There is no native support for OTG usb cable. You need special kernel, and external power supply as hardware doesn't enough power in the usb to power flash drive. It may be possible with supported kernel and usb y cable with external power.
Check out similar thread below.

Is working for someone usb-otg on 4.2.2? For me doesnt work. Stock, locked bootloader, s-on.
Same usb-otg adapter works ok on stock xperia z.
Does htc one sv supports otg or not?

In this model, OTG will work only with the external power supply. Custom kernel 4.1.2.
External power supply is what? Hdd with external power?

Yes it works. But it must be a usb drive that requires minimal power to operate. Of my 4 USB sticks, only 1 works.
My motog USB port is not working. Unable to charge mobile using any of the USB cables. Only with wall charger its charging. Tried all the ways.
- safe mode
- restarted while connected to laptop
- Enabled usb Debugg
Please help me.
Thanks

Have you found a fix for this yet?
I heard try using a USB 2.0 port and original cable.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try. So wired though that it would just change randomly like that.
