T-mobile could possibly see the razer phone in stores.

I really hope T-mobile and Razer can strike a deal to have the Razer phone available to finance or lease through T-mobile.
Would be nice, however, I have already laid out the cash in preparation for this beauty.

Yes same here. I'm just waiting for them to take my money! lol
I just got the email and paid!
this phone looks amazing. I am going to wait and see if T Mobile actually gets it first, then go from there.
I'm on T-Mobile and have mine in hand. Working great.

It does have a wifi calling option in settings, but so far, I haven't been able to get it to work. I don't know if other people got it to work.

I have my Razer phone and my Wifi calling works great.
A pecularity w/this phone & LTE Discovery/T-Mobile US:
On the LTE Discovery app,it's showing that I'm connected to LTE Band 3.
AFAIK,there is no LTE Band 3 in the US,but, that's what's showing up.
I'm using a window unit booster (T-Mobile's Cel-FI),& thought maybe that has something to do with it,but,I ruled that out @ work today, seeing the same Band3 LTE.
@ home w/Cel-FI Booster,same with or w/o home WI-FI on | @ work on LTE only

I also tried another cell signal app & it too indicates LTE Band 3,looking like a bit of a bug with the phone, but, nothing lost in functionality.
I just bought my Razer phone and every thing is work great also my WiFi calling, there are so many other features work according to customer desires.

Ive been in the 3D forums since launch and I love the 3D but I cant handle Sprints 100k speeds and no answers from them - So I am likely moving to T-Mobile and the Sensation....
Can anyone tell me what speeds they get once you hit your "4G Limit"?
Is it useable at all after you hit your 2,5, or 10GB?
Thanks!
you're stuck at 2g after you hit your limit
Yeah, Ive read varying reports of that speed - around 200k??? Right now, Im lucky to even hit that on my Sprint Connection.

Yeah, around that. The max you'll get is about 300-400 Kbps. If you live in an area with good HSPA connectivity, you should get speeds from 5-7 Mbps down easily in you are within your cap.
This is my best result during peak hours.

Well I've heard some stories of being able to block the data throttling. That only works with perm root though... Not to mention it also only works on certain devices. Sensation could or could not be one of them. But speeds are as mentions above.

Thanks for the replies - I think we are going to swap tomorrow. Sounds like Edge would allow me to stream radio at the least - I checked my old AT&T account and it was rare that I went over 5, I was usually around 4.8GB
I do love the HTC 3D but with the seed Im getting, its like having a lamborghini and going up and down the driveway....
I did test the speed at 2 t-mobile stores in the area and low DL's were around 3000k and high around 5000k .... Im happy with 1500, so this is great
Thought I put this here, in case someone has the same issue.
Just got my Orange UK S4. Orange also run a 4G network called EE, and my phone is EVR ie EE network coded.
My contract is NOT on the 4G network, since I didnt need it.
My first attempt at using the internet connection (away from wifi) was a download of a 1.5meg PDF attachment in the email app, and it was ridiculous slow, like it took 5 mins
Also the browser was not responding or downloading data at all.
So had a brain wave and went into network settings/more networks/mobile networks/network mode/ and changed from 2g/3g/4g, to "2g/3g"
and this solved the issue perfectly.
I think the problem is that in the 4G mode, the phone keeps trying repeatedly (like for every packet) to connect in 4g, and gets rejected by the network, so downshifts to 3g or HDSPA for downloading one packet, and repeats the whole merry cycle...
Hope this might some confusion for others in the future.
More likely that the phone was camped onto an Orange 3G bts initially. By swapping network type selection you forced it to pick up a tmobile site....remembering that tmobile and orange share each others networks now under the banner of EE.
A lot of orange sites were never that fast anyway, even worse now the join with tmobile. They are relying a lot more on the tmobile 3G sites.

On T-Mobile here and switching LTE off makes absolutely no difference to my speeds :/ Ran a test with LTE on and off and I get 10Mb on and off.

No probs on 3 network :good:

OP here!
The first download was crazy slow, 1000 times slower than when I was on the pure Orange network, but it seems fixed now, and on my new rom flashed yesterday, it seems ok.
Completely agree about the orange/EE service at present. It has become terrible, I think they are shoving all subscribers onto one network, and its becoming harder to make a call without it dropping etc... And this is in West London!
I'm sure some people are going to thing I'm dumb, but does anyone know what this icon is? My first thought was home something like home wifi but that doesn't make sense and the only two times I have seen it was at a tattoo parlor and at work.

Settings, about, help, icon glossary. I believe it means you are somehow connected to a network extender
I'm quite sure that is a 'network extender', what it does is it extends your mobile data to give you better signal, sort of like a little mini 4g tower or whatever.
A lot of companies have their buildings wired with network extenders for poor service indoors.... Basically makes it voip for calls, But you will only get 1x/3g data speed, depends on which extender they use

I would have done this but I get a toast message or whatever the message is called now saying " unable to find activity to hold this action“
Thank u for the advice about the extender.

I can confirm that it's a network extender. We have a vacation home in a very poor service area and my previous employer agreed to supply one so that I would be reachable by cell phone (we pretty much live at the vacation house from April through September). The only time I see that icon is when I'm there, and it disappears when I get 30-50 meters away from the house.
I left that company but was told to keep the extender, which is great . . . without it my battery drain is astronomical as the phone would seek and attempt to hold a signal.
Hi, I'm trying to get VoWiFi working on my Pixel 3a using the EVS codec (also known as "enhanced HD voice"). This is in the UK, so I'm using an EE SIM card but while I get the "enable WiFi calling" option in settings appear nothing happens when I turn it on or off. The phone didn't have any mobile reception at the time - does anyone know if I need to connect to the EE network first?
And I'm using standard Pixel 3a OS, no custom ROM or anything - does anyone know if this should "just work" or if there's any extra config to get VoWiFi and EVS working?
In my searching around for stuff on this topic a lot is focused on Verizon/T-Mobile, so it's been difficult to find anything specific the UK. If someone else has experience with Pixel 3a, EE network and Voice over WiFi I'd be grateful to know whether this worked, even if you're not sure what codec was used for calls.
Thanks,
Rob
I think the best answer is to contact your service provider directly. Every provider seems to handle it differently and it's best to get the information directly from the company. Let's just hope you get a service rep that knows what you are talking about!
Here's what I see, if it helps. Also UK, also EE.

Hi. I'm on EE in the UK with a Pixel 3a and have WiFi calling available. Firstly, are you on a contract with EE? WiFi/4G calling is not available with EE PAYG/Flex packages. I normally see WiFi calling available when at home but it didn't seem to be showing yesterday for some reason. It's working again today, maybe there was a problem or they were working on something. WiFi calling only shows on the lock screen, I haven't seen any indication elsewhere. My connection screen is exactly the same as Silently's above. Completely standard P3a here. Andy
Edited to add: I moved from EE Flex to contract, it took about 24 hours after initial connection for WiFi calling to appear.
The Pixel 2 I purchased for my father stopped working a few days ago, with the 3G shutdown going on. His carrier is Consumer Cellular which uses AT&T towers exclusively. So from what I understand phones on AT&T's network will be required to have VOLTE. I'm a bit confused as to whether or not this phone is indeed capable of using VOLTE. In the settings menu under network type, the only two options shown, are 3G or LTE, and when I pull up the secret menu via the dialer app, it shows this phone is not provisioned for VOLTE. Can that be changed? See attachment, even AT&T's own documentation states that after the 3G shutdown, the Pixel 2 will continue to work on their network. Currently, with the phone set to LTE mode, internet is working at full 4G speeds, but the phone will not dial out or can receive calls. It fails instantly. Now when the phone is put in 3G mode, both incoming and outgoing calls can be made no problem, but internet is much slower. Predicatably the Consumer Celluar agents are clueless, and since were not account holders with AT&T, they won't talk to me. So at this point, we either find a way to get the Pixel 2 working, or I buy him a new phone. He wants to stay with Consumer Cellular. If anyone has any insight, would be greatly appreciated. SO FRUSTRATING!!
thanks

FWIW, I have the exact same issue with my Galaxy S8 on Consumer Cellular. It's on AT&T's list of supported devices but calls fail immediately when on LTE network. Switching to 3G makes calls work for now, but I know that's only a temporary solution. When I put in the IMEI on Consumer Cellular's website, it even says the phone is supported!
We have been very happy with Consumer Cellular in the past, but our experience with this issue has been really frustrating.
We switched to T-Mobile Prepaid and everything worked as soon as we put in the new SIM: VoLTE, WiFi Calling, etc. Goodbye Consumer Cellular I guess.
