A few years back I read on this forum that it was wise to backup the EFS of my S5, in case something happened with the phone and the IMEI number couldn't be recognized anymore.
Does that still apply to my new S7 ? And when yes, what is the best way to backup the EFS ?
Yes. You can use twrp for that, or samsung tools from playstore.

I have a Moto x4 not rooted. Ineed to recover deleted texts for a legal case. Is it possible to recover texts without wiping phone? Or if a phone back up is made will it back up all deleted info too?

I had been using a Huawei device for the past 2 years. Most of my data was on the phone but I had backed up a good part of it on my computer using HiSuite. Unfortunately, I lost this phone recently and will be using a spare Samsung phone for the time being (Galaxy S4). Is there a way I can restore my Huawei backup to a Non-Huawei device?
