I have been using the finger print sensor and not the Iris scanner.
Which one are you using?
Both. I use the fingerprint more though.
Just fingerprint scanner. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
Been using strictly iris. Works pretty damn well I think!
Update. Just turned on finger print with iris. SPEEDY! If one fails the other is right behind it.

Thanks for the reply.
I haven't used Iris scanner before, I will give it a shot!!

Is there such a thing as a fingerprint scanner lock screen for Android? I see tons of gag-apps on the Play Store, but nothing legit. Not sure if anyone has used one before.
Not yet... There is talk as the hardware in new phones are getting better and more geared to security.. Be wary of what you download in the app store.. Hope this helps....

It is touch screen- not a scan touch screen! In my opinion so it can't understand fingerprint
I found some info on another site that helps with the fingerprint sensor:
It seems like the key is to press relatively hard when swiping your finger. I've tried that a number of times now, and it seems to be working much better. I'm even able to get one handed unlock with the fingerprint sensor.
Hope this helps.
Sideways thumb swipe: rotate thumb to maximize print area while swiping during record and read.
Works fine.

You are welcome. Anything help do you want ?
What I did was use the 3 allotted different fingerprints and scan my thumb at slightly different angles so I could swipe my thumb horizontally rather than vertically and it works a lot better now.
I feel clever ...unless this was already mentioned

The following was in another thread, so thought I would copy it here for posterity:

So I was playing around with the fingerprint scanner and wanted to add more then 3 fingerprints. When I was setting up my thumb, I also swiped my pointer finger. After the set up was complete. I found it let me unlock the phone with both fingers from the one setup. I haven't seen this mentioned yet, so I figured someone out there might find it useful.

Confirmed that it worked on my device. I was able to register right thumb, left thumb and left index finger on just one setting.

I'm having problem with my finger print recognition. It always says "doesn't match". I wonder anyone solved this yet?
I've noticed that and enrolled the same digit as a new print that improved response

Mine works about 9 out of 10 times. Try to redo the print match?

Actually like I wrote leave the registration in and re register the same finger again. Improves recognition

I tried that and got an error message because the fingerprint was already registered. I've like re-registered my fingerprint for ten times now until I finally got it to work right 95% of the time.
I've registered the same finger by starting it another location, it improves recognition accuracy

I had high hopes for the iris scanner after watching some of the videos on YouTube but for me it's crap! Seems to only work 1 in 20 attempts. I've even reregistered my eyes a few times in different conditions to no avail. I don't wear glasses or contact lenses.
What's everyone elses experience?

No issues on mine
Works for me flawlessly.
I registered without glasses and it unlocks with my glasses on. Faster unlocking than the fingerprint
Worked well for Me, but I didn't like having to see my eyes every time I wanted to unlock my phone, fingerprint scanner works great and my finger seems to land on the button when I pull the phone out of my pocket
I've only played with it briefly, and thus far, it seems to work fine. More testing to come.

Same here, works for me with and without glasses.
Mines works 95% of the time. I set up in good lighting. And it works in dark areas. Very good too. I hit just the power button and it unlocks right away.
My wife's is a hit and miss but she is never aiming the phone correctly. Once she does that it works.
I feel that this is an obvious feature that should already been there but do any of the ROMs have this feature?

I would love to have this feature back as well.
Using Finger Print Quick Action from PlayStore. It works when I assign toggle notification to single tap action
GravityBox if you use Xposed also works.

Google said that about the Nexus 6P and then a couple weeks later we had the fingerprint sensor able to swipe down for notifications. So that is probably not true.

It is.
1. take a look at the hardware sheet.
2. the fingerprint sensor is too small so recognize in which direction you swiped.
