Very recently I started getting a persistent notification that I am plugged in when I am not. If I click on the notification the pop up only gives one choice "use USB to supply power".
Phone still charges fine and nothing else seems to be wrong, but it's very strange. Anyone else have this?

Me too. And I have not found out any solution yet. When charge my google pixel, I have to tap on notification bar and choose "charge this device".

In Settings>>>System>>>Developer Options scroll down to Networking and look for Select USB Configuration. You can change default here.
Hope that helps.

How do I enable plug-ins to "always on?" There's no actual "plug-ins" vebage anywhere on this g tablet settings. I can't find it in system settings or browser settings. Where could it be? I'm running stock TNT with enhanced package.
Use the "about:debug" page from the browser. Just type it into the address field and then go.
Then hit the menu button, choose More, Settings
Scroll down to "Enable Plugins" and select "Always On"
Note: If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the Settings page, you can also set the User Agent -- I personally set mine to "Desktop" instead of Android (so I get the full site rather than a mobile site)
I typed about:debug and hit Go, but just a blank page popped up. I went under settings but no change available for what you said. What's happening?
I am getting nothing with this too. any other ideas. I would love to be able to use my usb port.

This is for enabling plug ins in the browser....flash....not for the usb port. What do do want to use the usb port for?

???
Not sure what you are trying to do...I was trying to answer the initial question about enabling plug-ins for the stock browser...
Maybe restate the question as I may have mis-understood what is being attempted...

Once you type about:debug, nothing will open so you did it right. Now you need to open your browser settings to see the additional setting that you can change.
Hi,
I have the Honor 6 with the latest stock software EMUI 3.
Some time ago, I have set the "usb-connection type" to "charging only". After that, the message "connected as ..." disappeared. Now how do I switch it back? I cannot see the option anywhere ?
Any ideas?
PS: Another settings screen I only find when this message pops up: "data volume is nearly used up". With a tap on it, I can see the total data usage per app screen from normal android. I have not found a way to regularly navigate there in EMUI3

Hi u all,
i have the same problem! i've tried everything.. but now i can let the mobile plugged to pc only for charging..i can't choose the kind of connection..
Ok, I called the hihonor support hotline: this is a possible bug blablabla. Solution: Reset to factory defaults or wait for lolipop update.
Another idea: try a different launcher or something, which will show the default android settings menu and no the EMUI one - is this possible?
Hello, can anyone confirm this as a bug?
I installed lastpass and had to go to accessibility settings.
When I go there I select lastpass and I get a popup with "cancel" and "ok" I can't for the life of me select ok to proceed. Cancel works. I then tried other options in accessibility settings and they we're the same.
That brings me to my next issue. I then plugged in a mouse with my otg cable and nothing. The mouse doesn't light up. Works fine in my XZ has support been removed for this?
If someone could confirm these issues that would be great ???? just so I know I'm not going mad lol.
Can I just point out I'm on latest NCB firmware which was installed fresh last night (flashaholic alert) ??*
Thanks in advance

i dont really know why you cant enable apps on accessibility settings. i can , as normal. i may be completly wrong, but i know that if you have a screen filtering app that dims the screen , you cant press the install button to install apps. not sure for the accessibility though. as for the mouse , i just checked mine , and it doesnt work too.i dont know why. on my z2 it works though :/
You diamond that will be it I have lux light installed to help with auto brightness

Ok just for anyone browsing this usb mouse issue after looking around my phone (stumbled across by accident) a USB mouse can be used.
Settings, connectivity, detect usb and then plug in the USB device.
Seems pointless to me because the only time I've needed it on my old Xperia was when my digitizer was broken and needed to transfer files/backup etc

It's not setup to detect USB devices automatically due to waterproofing considerations. The ports are no longer plugged for the phone to remain "waterproof" (let's not get into THAT) so instead the port itself remains unpowered until the user selects "Detect USB device".
I get it, thanks for the explanation ☺

I have searched the forums but unfortunately I have not been able to find and answer. My S8+ used to say Fast Charging in the notification center though I just noticed recently it no longer says that. Have used different aftermarket cables as well as the official Samsung one though still no luck. If I press the power button the lock screen shows up and it does say fast charging there. I have tried different cables power adapters as well as numerous restarts. It's just strange why it used to say it but now does not. I am wondering if maybe there was an app that could be some how disabling the notification. I did read that the phone does not charge when in use ( I could have swore it does). I also asked other friends who say it shows up on their phones. Anyone else have a similar weirdness acting up on their phone?
Yeah I just had this problem with my S8.
I had no idea what caused this but I managed to fix it.
Go to Settings / Notifications / Advanced. Then click on that 3 dots at the top right of the screen.
Click on Show System Apps, and find System UI.
Click on it and check Allow Notifications. Voila.
Very easy
go to settings/ notifcation/ the 3 dots on the right / rest app preference
So I've noticed since upgrading to Pie, when using the quick toggle switches, the wrong item is displayed at the bottom of the screen. If I was to click the wifi toggle, it will say mobile data enabled at the bottom of the screen. If I was to click the wifi toggle off, it says wifi enabled at the bottom. I'm 110% stock (Verizon version ?) thoughts?

I don't remember seeing this, but do you use any themes? If yes, try to remove the theme and see how it is without it

My phone is 110% stock. Even the wallpaper comes from the preloaded ones
Gotta be an app you have installed. I just reset to most recent stock 9 a few days ago and don't even get toast notifications when using the quick settings.

I can't figure it out for the life of me. I think you are on your way something tho, either an app or a setting. None of the other toggles show a toast notification. Don't wanna factory reset, might just have to tho
Mine keeps enabling "Night Mode" to "Always on" all by itself. I set it to "Always off" and it turns itself back on again after just a few minutes.
Weird stuff going on.
I may just start going through system apps and clearing cache and see what happens.

That I believe is because you have night mode turned on in the messages app, or any other Google app that has a dark mode setting. The night mode setting in developer options I've noticed, doesn't really matter. When I use Android auto, it switches between day and night on its own. Now if I pick up my device and use it while it is still plugged into my car, and I open messages which I have dark mode enabled, it will switch Android auto to dark. And I would have to unplug the USB and plug it back in. Hope that helps

You're absolutely right. The night mode setting for the notification pull down follows the setting in the Messages app ... which I had turned on.
Thanks! That was driving me nuts.
