Hello, can anyone confirm this as a bug?
I installed lastpass and had to go to accessibility settings.
When I go there I select lastpass and I get a popup with "cancel" and "ok" I can't for the life of me select ok to proceed. Cancel works. I then tried other options in accessibility settings and they we're the same.
That brings me to my next issue. I then plugged in a mouse with my otg cable and nothing. The mouse doesn't light up. Works fine in my XZ has support been removed for this?
If someone could confirm these issues that would be great ???? just so I know I'm not going mad lol.
Can I just point out I'm on latest NCB firmware which was installed fresh last night (flashaholic alert) ??*
Thanks in advance

i dont really know why you cant enable apps on accessibility settings. i can , as normal. i may be completly wrong, but i know that if you have a screen filtering app that dims the screen , you cant press the install button to install apps. not sure for the accessibility though. as for the mouse , i just checked mine , and it doesnt work too.i dont know why. on my z2 it works though :/
You diamond that will be it I have lux light installed to help with auto brightness

Ok just for anyone browsing this usb mouse issue after looking around my phone (stumbled across by accident) a USB mouse can be used.
Settings, connectivity, detect usb and then plug in the USB device.
Seems pointless to me because the only time I've needed it on my old Xperia was when my digitizer was broken and needed to transfer files/backup etc
Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk
It's not setup to detect USB devices automatically due to waterproofing considerations. The ports are no longer plugged for the phone to remain "waterproof" (let's not get into THAT) so instead the port itself remains unpowered until the user selects "Detect USB device".
I get it, thanks for the explanation ☺

Hi,
Since two days I'm a happy and proud Note owner, but there's one thing, that makes me really go crazy:
I installed the program "Widgetlocker", because the standard lockscreen is quite broing. It actually works quite good, but sometimes the standard lockscreen still apears. Not instead of the widgetlocker, but additional. So I always have to unlock two lockscreens.
Does anybody else has got this problem? And how can I fix it?
I tried to find a solution in different forums and in the program configuration, without sucess!
Thanks for help!
Edit: The error apears mostly when there's a pop-up (gtalk e.g.) or when I plug in the charger....
I turned on root helper and home helper in settings, that fixed it for me. I'm on Stock Rooted XXKK9 if that helps.

I presume you have set the lock screen to "none" in the actual phone settings too?

Hi, chrcad,
Finally, the someone else who's been having the same problem.
It IS really irritating. Sometimes it's OK, but other times it just comes on.
Have turned off the lock screen option, but same thing happens. Someone please help!

My widgetlocker works fine. Been using it since day 1. Hmm.. Sorry. Not sure how to help.
chrcad,
Your problem seems related to the fact that Android is not having enough memory left ans simply closes "useless" apps and considers that WL is part of them. To prevent that to happen, simply check in advanced settings the "refuse to suspend WL" box and Android will look another application than WL to close

Thanks @ everybody for the help, but unhappily it's still not working properly.
The problem always apperas, when the phone's sleeping and a gTalk message comes in.... but ONLY, when the gTalk ppop-up is activated......
Any (more) idea?
you are leaving it running all the time aren't you?
I use to have the same problem, very rarely but it was still annoying. I have put a lock on widgetlocker so if I ever close all programs, widgetlocker is still running. It's not happened since but it's only been a few days so I'll see.

Some pop-ups cause this if they're designed to appear underneath the stock lockscreen rather than dismiss it.
For now:
1) Easy Wake Mode disables the system lockscreen
2) WL Settings > Long-press volume down for Experimental > Aggressive Dismiss stock lockscreen. This should work, but it's not well tested yet so it's off by default.
I just found few bugs:
-Touchscreen hangs on first boot, have to power off and on the screen to make it working
-Also is impossible to disable ADB, strange behaviour with Developer Setting menu too (adb can be disabled only with Developer Setting ON, if i select OFF, adb auto-re-enable it self when USB is connected again)
-mouse cursor with USB Host is really SLOW and LAGGY
-on USB Host disconnect, "Select method od writing" doesn't disappear, if i select HTC Sense Input it's still there, cannot remove from the notification bar
-MTP it's FUUUUU**** SLOW!!! Bugged, cannot copy flac file!!! When first file is copied, than it stop copying!!! This ruined my day, tomorrow i have no music on my phone!!! FU** HTC!!!
New feature! USB Host now is self powered! USB mass storage is working without external power!!! :good:
Big changes:
-USB connection is changed
Pro: no data corruption, now ADB/Fastboot is working ok with Win8 Computer with Intel USB 3.0 too
Con: we are force to use htc sync manager, and MTP to copy files, TOO BAD
I haven't any problem to transfer flax file

Regarding the file transfer thing, a workaround to access and transfer files as "Mass Storage", try using AirDroid: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zYW5kLmFpcmRyb2lkIl0.
You can transfer and speed install apps and stuff, for more info: http://andystudenthandbook.blogspot.com/2012/11/when-cables-desert-you-airdroid-app.html
EDIT: Another workaround: Instal the HTC Sync Drivers, then launch the internal storage from the "Portable Device" in My Computer. You should be able to copy files this way.
Do you also have a two drives after connecting HOS to PC (In My Computer)? One with internal storage and second one visible as blank CD/DVD? This second one can be also accessible after switching on ADB? I can instal HTC Sync from that.
No bug till now

Qwertz keyboard mode in landscape mode shows Z instead of Y.
Ugly calculator widgets.
Using new power save mode, when phone is sleeping, and you connect wall charger, the phone will not charge until you wake up the screen...
If you have another keyboard like swiftkey, every time you reboot your phone you have to activate it from the menu. Can people please confirm?

And why wouldn't you have the driver already installed I hate this new way of doing it its really crap, I have to reboot the phone to get to see an up to date file list so just don't bother with it and use TWRP.
I am curious would anyone who is in the TMo's beta testing program can report these issues to them so that HTC can fix it.
When you receive a text message there isn't a box on the lock screen with 1 or 2 lines of the message content and the senders name. There is just a little number on the messages icon on the lock screen. Don't think it's a bug but it's definitely a change. the first image is what the ics lock screen was like and the second is what happens now. It's quite annoying because you can't see who the message is from without unlocking your phone! WTF

Another bug, with swiftkey Keyboard on as default the keypad for unlocking the phone with PIN code is not as before much smaller and annoying.

Right now, I am using a motorola bluetooth keyboard with my Xperia Tablet Z. To be honest, it works really well... until I stop typing for a period of time. Then the battery-concerning properties kickin and the keyboard disconnects.
If this wasn't annoying enough... many apps, including websites, kick back to some previous page. Thus, I have to re-navigate to whatever page or part-of-the-app I was in.
Thus, I have developed a habbit of routinely increasing and decreasing the volume... as long as I am typing something, I have no problem. But this isn't convient and proving to be a huge annoyance for note taking.
Does anyone have any recommendations to circumvent those two issues (Keyboard turning off and apps changing page when keyboard connects/re-connects?
Thanks

When the keyboard connects, a keyboard icon appears in the top-left corner. If I open that window, it will allow me to select another keyboard layout (default Xperia Internal keyboard selected as default). As far as a window asking me for permission to always stay connected... I can't remember any such window appearing.
My screen won't turn off for 5 minutes... and the Bluetooth connection (top right) is constantly on.

My rom? Right now I am running android 4.3 but haven't installed any other firmware or OS-modifications to my system.
I rooted my Xperia because I eventually want to go through all the apps Sony installed... and understand their functionality (Do I need them) and privacy concerns. Again, I am new to this so I'm a bit afraid of messing things up... so I've been taking it slow as far as modifications go.

Yes. It is one step away from the factory settings. When I got it, a newer update was available and I simply updated it.
I did not manually add/modify anything except for rooting the tablet and giving the permissions to SuperSU.
The same here
Hi,
I got the same problem. Got newest not rooted, stock Xperia Tablet Z (sgp321, android 3.2.2). Im using it with motorolla bluetooth keyboard + logitech bluetooth mouse v470. With mouse there is no problem it stays connected all the time. But keyboard disconnects & reconnects randomly. Some times its 10 sec & somtimes its more then 3 minutes. It happens even during text input so i loose some chars during text input.
I`m using external keyboad helper app to remap my national chars, but I`ve tested that it`s not connected to the problem.
I`ve noticed that when i connect bt keyboard, in the system input settings Xperia shows Hardware keyboard and I think it is bad implemented function. Choosing option to disable HW keyboard during connection some times helps me to avoid reconnect problem, but its steel not stable.
Maybe this ideas can help to solve the problem....
Regards
Tom
I'm new to Android and I can't seem to find the answer to this question.
When you plug in an iPhone for charging, it vibrates briefly to let you know it's charging?
Is there a similar setting for the Nexus 5? I can't seem to find it in Settings and as I searched Xposed modules and Play Store widgets, none of them seemed to have this exact setting or feature.
When I search the forums here, all I find are people who seem to be suffering from a defect and don't want their phone or tablet vibrating when they're plugged in.
To be clear, I just want a short vibration and a short screen wake when I plug into a micro USB cord for charging. This would confirm to me that the phone is actually charging.
Thanks in advance!

I can't remember if the stock software updated to do this but for example, I'm on SlimKat ROM and I can set to vibrate, play a sound, and wake up the screen. Some ROMs may have other options as well.
I'm not sure if an app would do this but mostly I've always seen it built into the ROM itself.

I am using 4.4.2 Kit Kat stock. I don't have the "Wake up on charge" setting under the Display settings.
Under Sound, I do not have "Advanced Options" under Sound.
Thank you for helping. I'm relatively new to Android; I'm not to the point where I'm considering flashing modified ROMs onto my Nexus 5 yet. I like that I'm able to root stock Android relatively easily and use the latest version of Android essentially when it becomes available. It's something I took for granted using iOS. It's nice to be able to go to the latest and greatest on the Nexus 5 essentially as soon as it's out.
Is there another way to do what I want to do without installing SlimKat?

It is possible to do it without SlimKat but I'm not sure. Stock Android is rather lousy even with root. Custom ROM's are the only way to go with the exception of losing proprietary features. So you won't have the options I've told you, it would be on SlimKat ROM. I recommend you read sticky threads on XDA to beef up your knowledge. You may also want to search the Play Store and see if apps are available to do these functions until you decide you wish to use custom ROMs.

I set it to vibrate most of time as I'm in meetings most days and coming from iOS, I'm not in the habit of switching the volume back up when I'm done. When set to silent, the iPhone vibrates when I plug it in to charge. That's the functionality I'm looking for really as I try to sneak a charge whenever I can, i.e. in the car, etc. It's nice to get the confirmation vibrate that it's charging without having to turn the volume back up.
Maybe it's not possible on stock or a widget or via Xposed. Just wondered if someone knew if I could get that functionality on stock but rooted Android.
Thanks!

There's an Xposed module that will let you get a lot more granular if you're WIRELESS charging,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2587431
LOL, but nothing it seems, for basic Micro USB cable chargers.

I need some advice on troubleshooting this one.
Brand new P7P, turned on Tap to Wake and "Always show time and info" on the lockscreen. It only ever works after a reboot *before* I log in the first time. Once I log in,that's it,screen is black when I lock it and it won't tap to wake.
I've removed the screen protector in case it was messing with the proximity sensor. I ran the phone in safemode and both *do* work in safemode,so I suspect it's an app on startup causing this.
What I need help with is how can I whittle down the culprit without removing all the apps one by one? Is there an app that will allow me to stop apps starting up at boot time and add them one by one?

Mine works on every part of my lock screen.
Any chance you're using lift to wake? Besides that, I have everything else on the same as you.
Edit: Just reread your post. Do you have a lot of apps? You could force stop every single one of them and test to see what happens to be sure that it's an app.

Yeah I have quite a few,but I think I'd rather try this first than start uninstalling and reinstalling the lot.
Not fixed, but getting somewhere. This is related to Bluetooth in some way.
If I turn off Bluetooth and reboot the phone,AOD works. I unlock the phone,it still works.
If I turn on Bluetooth AOD immediately breaks again until I turn off Bluetooth AND reboot.
I thought it might be my fitness band so disconnected and uninstalled the app, but the problem persisted. I have no other devices permanently using Bluetooth, so I'm starting to think this is a Bluetooth bug rather than a specific app now

If the fitness band allows you to take pictures remotely, it is possible that it recognizes it as a keyboard and that this interferes due to some bugs

Good point. This is why I tried to uninstall the app and disconnect the fitness band entirely, just to rule it out. Unfortunately, even once uninstalled, after a reboot with BT off AOD worked, but the moment I turned BT on AOD broke.
I can't think of any other apps using the BT at the moment but having a think. Will post more info if/when I get it.
Finally figured it out thanks to the hint by LaNy_6. This *is* down to Android Auto, but it’s not immediately obvious how or why.
To fix I went to Settings > Apps
Select See All Apps
From the top right overflow menu select Show System
Scroll Down to Android System
Select Notifications
Ensure Car Mode is selected
When I did this, I saw LaNy_6’s screenshot for the Android System notification that says “Driving App is running – tap to exit driving app” in my notification shade.
After doing this, AOD/tap to wake/lift to wake all suddenly work as expected.
Please note that upon rebooting the Driving App notification shows again and you have to tap it to go away. Again,no idea why.
I have no idea why, but I’m guessing every reboot the phone was put in to driving mode. I have never connected it to a car, there’s no reason for this to happen, but because I didn’t see the notification it never got exited from it seems. There’s no other indicators that it’s in driving mode, the phone works as normal other than the AOD problem.
