Best Battery Saving ROM/Kernel for Galaxy S7(G9300) Qualcomm Edition? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

What is the best ROM for Galaxy S7 G9300(qualcomm) in terms of battery saving.? I have used 'Aurora v24 s8-port', 'Norma v6 s8-port' and 'Aurora v25 S7edge-port' on my G9300. But none of them satisfied me. Specially S8-ports are drained battery super fast even everything are off with Battery saver on. S7edge-port battery backup just below average. Used 'Tomato v11' ROM too which battery backup average.
Now please recommend me which ROM/version i can use. You can suggest me how can i save my battery on these ROMs.
And another question, is "NOTORIOUS" kernel available for qualcomm version of S7? If not which is best kernel for S7 qualcomm in terms of battery saving.

What battery life are you getting, and what battery life are you expecting/wanting?

In s8-ports based ROM i am losing 1% battery life in every 1.5/2 minutes while surfing internet using wifi with power saving enabled to MID. So it takes only 2.5-3 hours to drain 100% charge.
In others ports it last upto 4 hours and in offical rom it last upto 6-7 hours approximately if i continuously surfing.
So please help what can i do now.

How to get best battery life?

Hi,
I tried different Costum Roms and stock roms, but with none of them I can get a good battery life. The best I could get were 7h and 20% battery drain while stand by with cyanogenmod 7. I could not beat this even with stock rom. But there has to be some rom with better battery life. Can someone suggest me a good rom with good battery life? Performance doesnt really matter for me, every rom is fast enough I think.
CM7 is the best for me with battery life. Try Juice Defender. It turns data off while screen is locked. Helps a lot for me.
With Cm7 by xboarder56 I have 49% Android system usage and 31% Mobil-network standby and just 6% Standby with 2 min runtime, so it seems that something keeps the phone running. But i cant figure out what it is...

Updated to ICS, lost hours of battery life?

I have updated to the official ICS (AT&T) and now I'm no longer getting much battery life. I had some issues with the update, so I wiped my phone and I have little to no apps.
I used to get 10+ hours of battery life, and now I don't even get 8 idle hours (so now it doesn't even last the work day). I checked Battery Usage after it was down to 20% and cell standby took up 90% of battery life.
I used to run JuiceDefender, but I reinstalled it on ICS.
Why have I lost so much battery life; how can I fix this?

I have noticed the same thing on the stock ICS. Also noticed very slow charge times using USB (possibly true with A/C charging but I am normally asleep when I charge with A/C).
Is this just caused by the bloat that they put in? I want to flash a custom ROM just for battery life at this point.

Im also seeing Cell Standby as a higher % than I used to.
install sky ics rom , this is the best battery . you can easy use more than 15hours . nexus mod 5.04 is also good . and much easier for noob to install . stock sucks .

Instigator's kernel is for AOSP (CM9/AOKP) so for ICS based official or roms you will need a different one such as mohan's kernel:

As for battery loss, there are some cases where if the flash wasnt done with 100% battery it could be reading the battery wrong and some people have had success with recalibrating their battery (look up battery calibration on play store). Now it was said that it really doesnt do anything for battery improvements and was just for stats use or whatever but for some people it helped their devices read the right battery stats.

[Xperia Mini ST15i] What rom is better for battery life

I am currently with RealICS rom and MESA kernel but it seems the battery is draining way too fast, especially when in call, after 4-5 minutes it drains like 2-3%.
So please tell me if GB would be better for the battery life, or it all depends on the kernel?
I would like to know that too. What kernel and ROM should I use to have best battery life. I use GPS allot and it drains battery pretty fast. Thanks!

[Q] ROM + Kernel for Best Battery Life?

Hey I'm looking for the closest to stock ROM with the best battery life. Im not sure if i should stay stock and rooted (6.0.1) and go with franco kernel or switch to CM 13 (CAF?)...or something else even.
Id say my usage is about average, minimal usage while working, probably less than an hour talk time per day. Maybe 1-2 hours of screen on using various apps (browser, light games, news apps). Generally i make it through a day with about 20-25% left before i goto bed and plug it in to charge every night.
However when i do make more use of it the battery seems to deplete pretty fast. Ideally i would just like better battery life, its the primary reason i havent upgraded the phone yet. I dont need a faster phone, i need one that gets significantly better battery life.
Any recommendations would be great. Thanks

Your mileage will vary greatly depending on usage and what apps you use.
I have personally found that a good kernel is the key to good battery life. I'm a fan of Cataclysm and ElementalX personally.
Best battery life is with stock rom + stock kernel. Before i used custom kernels, but over a week now i have used stock rom with stock kernel and i must say that i get better battery life than before with customs. IMO.

Which kernel do you suggest for BEST battery life on G920F?

I've tried some of the kernels which are produced for S6 (G920F) in xda but after a while battery life gets worse and worse. It sometimes gets so bad that while screen is off (just music plays) battery level decreases and I can't understand the reason from the "Battery Usage" screen in settings. I know, it's related with both ROM and kernel, but I'm using Alexis ROM (and arter97 version 20.0) nowadays and I love it. Can you offer me the best kernels about power efficiency?
I'm using arter's kernel v20 too, but with Xtestrolite ROM and have quite a good battery life, playing Spotify all day and doing moderate browsing.
Do you find Alexis ROM better for battery life? Haven't tried it yet.
It's not worse than XtreStoLite ROM but I can't say better than it. How many hours SOT for you? Can you upload a screenshot here when your battery is at %1 or somewhere like that so that I can analyze how is your usage and is it efficient.
I can only do it on Thursday tho, got no time until then. Will edit once I get the screenshots. Also, I'm on Xtrestolite 3.2, not latest, too lazy to update.
