P3100 Doesn't turn on/Charge | - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Friends
I have a p3100 with a broken Touch Digitizer but the LCD is still working and I am checking if the tab is still worth repairing. While checking though, I tried to charge the tab but it doesn't charge. It only shows a Battery Icon with a spinner in the middle then nothing happens. It doesn't turn on. When I try to press the Power button it still shows the same Icon then turns itself off. I tried doing the help videos on youtube where you disassemble the back cover and dislodge the battery pins out and discharge the board but it still does the same thing. I attached a photo of the Icon I was talking about.
Any help would be appreciated
Ps. Sorry for my english.

Bump

Turns out the battery was super low it can't turn on the tablet anymore. I hooked the battery into a universal charger and it now charges properly.

[Q] Help! Nexus S will not start

So here is the deal...
My kids needed a night light as we are on vacation so I decided to plug the power charger and left the flashlight app on the entire night. Now that I think about it not a smart idea.
When I woke up this AM the phone had the battery charging icon on the screen. This only appears when the phone is charging while it is powered off.
So far I have removed the battery several times and tried to power the phone on with no success.
I have also tried to hold the volume down and press the power button as recommended on various forums with no luck.
I am overseas right now (home town is the usa) and I need my phone more than if I was home .
Any idea how the flashlight app left ON while also powering may have caused this?
Or is this just a coincidence and I am having an issue that others are having and it is not related to what I did last night?
Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated.
By flashlight app do you mean one that turns on the camera flash or one that leaves the screen on?
I am also unclear what you mean by:
When I woke up this AM the phone had the battery charging icon on the screen. This only appears when the phone is charging while it is powered off.
So far I have removed the battery several times and tried to power the phone on with no success.
Click to collapse
Does the icon appear even when not charging? Does the screen function at all? Or does the phone seem completely dead, as in not even vibrating when powering on after removing battery.
If it was the camera flash, it might have overheated and damaged something, but this is just my speculation.
By flashlight I mean the one that leaves the screen on in white color.
The icon only appears while the phone is hooked up to the charger. When I unlplug it it disappears. (So to me this answers your question if the screen works at all).
The phone does not vibrate when I try to power it on after I remove and put back the batter.
Thanks for your quick reply and hope this answers your questions.

Tablet wont turn on

Hi
I have a Mediacom 910 tablet that i flashed with a CM9 rom.
Worked fine for weeks, i turned the screen off to go to sleep one evening and the next day it would not turn on.
Put it on the charger and waited several hours.
Now when i press the power button all i get is a white battery icon in the middle of the screen. Inside the battery is an orange triangle with an exclamation mark inside.
What can i do to revive this unit...It must have charged the battery because now it will turn on like i mention above without the charger inserted.
I also measured that the charger is giving out 5 volts and the same thing happens when i plug in the micro usb cable to charge with that.
Anyone have any ideas what to do (Besides throw it away )
I've the same problem. I've opened the device to check if the battery link was ok. Any suggestion?

[Q] Device Not Charging

Hi Guys,
I have a tablet that my boss gave me today to 'fix'. The problem that it is having is that it isn't turning on, nor does it appear to be even charging. He said he used it until it was dead, then plugged it in overnight to charge, but when he tried it this morning, it wouldn't turn back on. I've had it for about two hours now, plugged into an outlet (the plug is a bulky black 2pronged adapter with samsung written on the side and I have a usb 3.0 plug). I tested the charger out on my Galaxy S5 and it started charging without any problems, so that tells me that the charger is working.
After 2 hours of supposedly charging, when I press power nothing happens. When I press the home button, nothing happens. I read on here that some were having really slow charging times, but I figured after two hours, there should be at least enough power to show the little batter logo on the screen during charging. Now, though, since that indicator doesn't even show up, I'm starting to think maybe I should just take it back to VZW. I was looking at the back of the device to see if it had a removable back cover and maybe resetting the battery would fix it, but I didn't see an indention where you can pull the cover off at (like on the note or my s5).
Any suggestions?
2 hour are not so much, if you used not the original charger. Let it on the charger for around 12 hour and try again - disconnect charger, reconnect again if you can see something...
Plug it in, keep the power button pressed for at least 30 seconds. See if that starts it up.
Hi.
You might try getting an usb volt- & ampere-meter off ebay. They're about 10 bucks or so.
It'll tell you if the tablet is drawing power at all.

Moto G Weird Status Won't Boot With Battery

I dropped my phone in the toilet by accident, I quickly removed it from the water and tried to dry as much as I could.
The only sign of life my phone shows is the blinking led every 3 seconds when i plug it into the wall charger, the PC does not recognize the device.
As you can imagine my phone has been "dead" since that day. Yesterday i tried to bring it back to live following a youtube tutorial.
This is what i did:
- Removed the back cover.
- Disconnected the battery form the main board.
- Plugged the wall charger.
At this point the screen turned on! D) showing the charging screen without any percentage just the normal "thunder" icon.
- Plugged the battery to the main board.
At this point the phone went back to its "normal" status, just showing the led blinking.
I dont know what else to do since Im not a too technical person, im wondering if any of have had the same issue or if changing the battery the phone will be working again. Since the phone is showing this screen im certain its not completely fried.
Thanks for any advise.

How to know if shield tablet is charged ?

How to know if shield tablet is fully charged ? There is no indicator or display. When I press the power button it turns on. Can someone please help?
there is an indicator that shows on the screen when it is off it looks like a battery.
you can also turn on the tablet and it will show in the corner as well...
If you have a 2014 model there is a led charge indicator by the sd card port this was removed for the 2015 model.
The battery is visible only for couple of seconds and then it disappears. When I press the power button even lightly it turns the tablet on.
Yep those are all it has you can always turn it off after.
Its a pain in the ass. Quite annoying.
@mirrin Is there any ROM or Kernal which has the fix
Not that I know of. I don't think there is anything to fix though and most others would be fine with just turning on the tablet.
