Is it possible to run two or more WhatsApp app instances on my phone? - General Questions and Answers

As we know, more and more mobile phones support dual sim cards.
I am interested that I could run two or more instances of WhatsApp Messenger with respective accounts, one for private use while another one for business or general use.
Thank you in advance.

Install Facebook Home On Any Android Smartphone

HI GUYS,
Facebook Home, the social networking giant’s attempt to convert your Android smartphone into a Facebook-oriented device might have seen a mixed reaction from the public, but the truth is, it’s officially available for only five Android smartphones at present, and not everyone has been able to try the new launcher for themselves.
If you’re a Facebook addict, you must be feeling left out if you don’t own one of the five smartphones that currently support Facebook Home.
Well, if that’s the case with you, this guide will surely cheer you up as today, we’ll be telling you how you can install Facebook Home on your Android smartphone running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher.
Facebook Home available to all devices, even unrooted ones. That is correct. You do not have to be rooted to give Facebook Home a try.:good:
To install Facebook Home on your Android smartphone, here’s what you need
Android smartphone running on Android 4.0 or higher.
Facebook app by MoDaCo, which can be downloaded from here.(loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=com.facebook.katana.modaco.apk)
Facebook Messenger app by MoDaCo, which can be downloaded from here.(loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=com.facebook.orca.modaco.apk)
Modified Facebook Home app, which can be downloaded from here. (loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=com.facebook.home.modaco.apk)
After you’ve downloaded these files, follow some simple steps which have been mentioned below, to get Facebook Home on your device
Before you start the process, you need to uninstall the Facebook app and Facebook Messenger app if they are currently installed on your smartphone. Sadly, if you’re smartphone came pre-installed with these apps, you will need to root your smartphone in order to uninstall them.
Now, go into Settings > Security and then check the box which says “Unknown Sources”.
Copy the three downloaded apps to your phone or you can download the apps directly to your smartphone as well. Once done, you’ll need a file manager app to access the downloaded apps. Popular File Manager apps like ES File Manager, Astro File Manager, etc. can be downloaded from the play store for this purpose.
Now, once you spot the three downloaded apps, click on the Facebook app (com.facebook.katana.modaco.apk) to install it first. Then, click on the Messenger app (com.facebook.orca.modaco.apk) to install it, and finally, install the Facebook Home app (com.facebook.home.modaco.apk) as well.
Once installed, the three apps should appear on your smartphone.
Now, open the Facebook app and enter your credentials to log-in. Once you’re logged in, tap the “Menu” icon located at the top-left of the app, then, go to Accounts > App Settings and check the “Enable Facebook Home” box.
When prompted, select Facebook Home and then tap on “Always”.
That’s it! Give some time for the launcher to load-up and once it’s done, you’ll have your own, personal Facebook Phone!
:good::good::laugh:
Guys, HIT THANKS!! :laugh::laugh::laugh::good::good::good:

[HOW TO]Chat on Facebook without using Messenger[Various method]

How to send messages on Facebook without installing the messenger app in Android
Facebook, recently decided to undertake this fairly unpopular practice – while the former decoupled the check-in feature to a whole new app, called Swarm, the latter decided that its users shouldn't be able to chat from the main Facebook app anymore, but make use of the chat head-wielding Messenger instead. The latter has been allegedly gaining market share in favor of its messenger rivals, but isn't forcing it to users the main reason behind this?

Well, forced things are never highly looked upon and quite a lot of users have expressed their utter displeasure with Facebook for taking the messages away from the main app. If you're one of the distressed Facebook users, rejoice, as a workaround exists that will allow not Messenger, but your main Facebook app to handle your messages. Of course, you can always go to the mobile version of Facebook and access your messages from there, but a lot of users probably prefer to delve into one of the most popular social networks through the dedicated app.

We'll show you the ropes on how to do this, but you should have in mind that this method only works for some users. Facebook will surely find another way to force Messenger upon them in the foreseeable future, but for the time being, at least some of the users of the social network get to do things their way.
So here it goes with the method 1.)
A quick guide for those who want to use Facebook messages without downloading facebook messenger.
Step 1
Uninstall Facebook messenger (if you have it installed)
Step 2
Make sure you have Unknown sources enabled from device settings
Step 3
Install the attached apk (hello world application) or create a new (empty) android project with the package name com.facebook.orca
As long as the only validation that the facebook app does is checking to find if an app with package name com.facebook.orca is installed on the phone this should work
Thanks to @nemoc 23 For his guide
I'll attach the Messenger.apk in the attachment too.you can download from there too
Method 2.) [For Non-Rooted Device]
Make sure you have Facebook official app already installed in your smartphone (no need to root), and if the Facebook app is not allowing you to chat with your friends, then try to download the Facebook messenger initially from Google play store, here is the tricky part, before completing the download (100%) cancel the downloading of Facebook messenger (make sure it’s not installing) and yeah, you are ready to use the official Facebook app again to chat with your friends, give a try and tell us if it’s working for you or not!
Method 3).[For rooted device]
STEP 1: Download the official Facebook Messenger App from Play Store.
STEP 2: Download “TITANIUM BACKUP” or “DISABLE APPLICATION” App from Play Store
STEP 3: Open Titanium Backup and give it ROOT privileges. Scroll down to Messenger App
STEP 4: Select the Messenger App which will result in a dialog box to open up. Hit the “FREEZE” button which will freeze the application eventually.
STEP 5: Once the app is freezed it will be highlighted in blue tint color.
STEP 6: Now open the Facebook App and go to the Messages section of it.
STEP 7: Choose the person you want to chat with and you are good to go!
Enjoy the freedom until it lasts! Feel free to let us know if there are any other method and we will update this post with those methods too!
Thanks for making this tutorial

How to use 2 WhatsApp accounts in a Dual SIM phone?

If you have a dual SIM phone, you can use the different SIM cards to make calls using separate numbers; and send text messages using different numbers. But did you know that you can set up two WhatsApp accounts and use them on the same phone? If you ever wondered how to install two WhatsApp accounts on a phone, then you've come to the right place.
There are some different ways of doing it; and some phone manufacturers offer this as a built-in feature. In other cases, you will have to resort to third-party applications; but it's actually quite easy to run two WhatsApp accounts on an Android phone. Sorry, iPhone users, with you do not apply the steps to explain.
Obviously, this method of running two WhatsApp accounts on a phone requires a dual SIM phone: WhatsApp uses the phone number as its identity and detects it through a text message or call; so it has to be a phone with two SIM cards. However, if you have a dual SIM phone, then the next step should be to verify your configuration, because it is quite possible that the manufacturer has already created dual WhatsApp configurations.
Many Chinese manufacturers allow you to create application clones, which can then be used with a dual SIM configuration. For example, in the EMUI mask of Honor, the function is called App Twin. On Xiaomi phones, it's called Dual Apps. Vivo calls it Clone App; while Oppo calls it Clone application.
The way in which each of these companies has configured it varies a little; so you will want to consult specific information for your phone. But first we have listed the steps for some of the popular brands. In case your phone does not support this function, there is one more solution you can try, listed at the end.
But the most important thing is that if you have one of these phones, then the steps you must follow are incredibly simple; and they are also very similar in the three manufacturers; so we have brought them together in one place. In all three cases, you'll start installing WhatsApp on your phone through Google Play. After that, you can clone the application in the phone configuration.
Step by Step
These are the detailed steps to run two WhatsApp accounts on your Xiaomi phone, but it is very similar for the other two as well:
After you have installed WhatsApp, go to Settings.
Touch Dual applications. In Honor phones this is called App Twin, and in the Oppo it's Clone application.
You will see a list of applications that can work with the function and alternate between them. Activate the option to clone any application.
That's it, you're finished. Check if your manufacturer supports the cloning of applications as well; and if so, then these steps should work to get a second copy of WhatsApp on your phone. It's a bit different on a Live phone, so we'll explain it first; and then we'll talk about how to set up the second WhatsApp.
How to run two WhatsApp accounts on a Vivo phone?
The steps for Vivo are very similar to other brands, but slightly different. To clone WhatsApp on a Vivo phone (we tested this on a Vivo V5s), simply follow these steps:
1、Go to Settings.
2、Scroll down to find Application Clone and touch it.
3、Now, toggle the switch to enable Show the Clone button.
4、Then, install WhatsApp on your phone through Google Play.
5、Press and hold on any icon of the application. You will see a small "x" to remove applications; but some, like WhatsApp, will also have a small "+" symbol.
6、Touch "+" to clone WhatsApp on your phone.
Okay, then at this point, you should have two copies of WhatsApp on your phone. This is what you have to do next.
Setting up WhatsApp Dual
Setting up your second WhatsApp account is extremely simple; just like setting the first one. In case you have doubts, these are the detailed steps:
1、Start the second WhatsApp.
2、On the next page, touch Accept and Continue.
3、Next, you can grant access to files and contacts to this copy of WhatsApp. To do this, click Continue and follow the instructions on the screen; or touching No now for now.
4、Now, you must verify your phone number. This is the crucial part: remember that you have to be the second phone number of the SIM card. If you enter your main number, you are simply changing WhatsApp access from one application to the next.
5、Once you have entered your number, touch Next; then confirm the number by touching OK.
6、WhatsApp will then send a verification code to verify the number, which will be read automatically if you have granted permissions. Otherwise, simply write the verification number and you'll be ready. In case you do not receive the SMS, you can also press the Call button on the screen to get a verification phone call.
That's it, now you have two versions of WhatsApp running on your phone. You can send and receive messages using both numbers; so it is useful if you want to separate your personal use from your professional use, for example.
You can also use the steps indicated above to install multiple copies of other applications. Obviously, if you want two Twitter applications or two of Facebook on your phone, for personal use and a commercial account, for example, that is easy to do by following the same steps, except that you clone those applications instead of WhatsApp.
What if your phone does not support application cloning?
If your phone does not support the cloning of applications, there are still a couple of ways to continue and install a second copy of WhatsApp. You will still need a dual SIM phone to send and receive messages from two accounts. There are some popular methods that you will find online; and the one we thought was better is an application called Dual Space
As its name suggests, this application creates a dual "space" where you can install applications; which allows you to clone different applications. These are the steps to use this application:
Dual Space app
First you must install Dual Space from Google Play. Once you start the application, it will immediately take you to a Clone Applications page.
Select all the applications that you wish to clone and touch the Add to dual space button.
Then, they will take you to Dual Space, where the application runs in a virtual installation on your phone.
Now, continue configuring WhatsApp as described above.
That's it, you can use WhatsApp and other applications by accessing them through the Dual Space application. The application is free but with advertising. Again, this can also be used for applications like Facebook.
Another method you will find in many sites is to install an application called GBWhatsApp, but this involves installing the application through APK, which has a small element of risk involved. In addition to that, it is only useful for a single scenario, which runs dual WhatsApp; so we believe that using Dual Space is a better option.
That's all about it. Now you can start using two WhatsApp accounts at the same time.
Hello,
Otherwise many current phones have now the "cloned app" functionality....
Use GB whatsapp or Dual Space app
If you wanna use 2 different whatsapp on your mobile then use GB whatsapp or Dual Spece app on your mobile...
If you use Dual Spece app then you could upto 5 whatsapp account use it..

Running multiple instances of whatsapp and backing them up

Hello all. I currently use a POCO F2 Pro, which has the cloning feature allowing me to run two instances of whatsapp at the same time (two different phone numbers) and backing them up to two different google drives.
Now I just bought a Nubia Redmagic 8 PRO that, to my disbelief, does NOT feature a cloning app. I know there are several alternatives (parallel spaces, app cloner, dual space...) but as far as I know none of these allow to use GPlay services and hence the backup option is not available.
Do you have any hints on how I could do to pass my old data from the secondary WhatsApp to my new phone? And, in general, how will I be able to cloud backup data from it?
Thanks in advance.
