Trouble unlocking Leagoo Z3C bootloader - General Questions and Answers

Hi.
I have a problem when unlocking the bootloader in Leagoo Z3C device. Although I'm already set "OEM Unlocking" in Developer mode, when I'm running "fastboot oem unlock" inside bootloader gives a 3 dots and stuck there. Is there any way to unlock the bootloader of this kind of the device? Thanks.

Mediatek powered devices do not require a bootloader unlock to be modded.
You can mostly root, install custom recoveries and install custom roms without unlocking the bootloader because it's most of the time never locked.

But this one is actually not the MTK chipset model, it's just a simply Spreadtrum chipset model. It' looks foolish but until now I have no idea on how to unlock it even rooting it...
Much harder to root compared to Lenovo A1000 which also uses same chipset but different Android version.

So...I finally managed to get the root access of Leagoo Z3C device. Just using magisk manager and patch the stock boot.img file and there you go...

You will need to install Google USB driver first, then go to this link here to download the necessary files for rooting the device. Just flash the rooted boot.img file and also install Magisk Manager as well.

thank you but i need custom recovery not root

watch this video to unlock it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIdJg7KNH3A
and a bootloader allows you to flash kernels/recovers/ and other custom things but only if it is unlocked.
with custom recovery you can install roms, make full system backup, and other things.
a custom kernel wil allow you to overclock cpu/gpu and more.
a custom recovery can be used to flash root.update zip.
but after unlocking bootloader you void your warranty . and your device got hard reset(factory reset)
it can be only unlocked if it is allowed to be unlocked.

Not entirely true, at least to all devices. I have a Moto Defy which also has a locked bootloader, no way to unlock, running KK CM11. Developer @pedrodh has managed to create an app called "2ndinit" (1) which allows a second kernel to boot on top of the locked one, allowing to flash new builds despite the locked bootloader. Because of this, Defy is known as unbricable. Similar approach could be used on E3 if some devel take a look into this.

Thank you very much for the firmware!!!
Can I ask how to install it, please? SP flash tool or TWRP recovery?
In more, before to install the firmware, I would need to make a back up of my NVRAM and IMEI: so I need to root my current android.
I have installed the same version: Acer_AV0M0_T04_1.011.00_EMEA_GEN1.
Someone has idea about how to root it,please?
Thanks in advance.

Nope. You can make a back up with SpFlashTool, root is not required. Look at the forum how to use the function "Read Back" of SpFlashTool.

Root or custom recovery is currently unavailable for this ROM.
You can install this one - Acer_AV0L0_T04_1.001.00_EMEA_GEN2_(rooted), it's already rooted, you just have to install SuperSu from Play Store. Also there is a custom recovery for this ROM, look here. Guide to install it is here.
You can also install this ROM, but with this one you can't use 4g in Europe.
Thanks
Excellent!
Thank you a lot!
Question
Hello,
through your useful tips, I made a backup of my NVRAM.
Now I plan to install the ROM lollipop already rooted.
But during the procedure, I had a doubt that I would like to clarify before proceeding.
I have read that to install this kind of ROM, the bootloader has to be unlocked.
Please, can I ask if that is correct? Do I have really to unlock the bootloader before to flash the ROM?
If I have to unlock the bootloader, can you post a link with a valid guide, please?
In the advanced options of my device there is a button who says: ¨allow the OEM unlocking¨. Do I have perhaps to activate this option?
I think that this is the last information I need before to flash
I thank you in advance and I wish you a nice evening.
Greetings

Well, sincerely i don't know if bootloader unlocking is required for successful flashing, because I unlocked my device the fist day I bought it. So, when I decided to flash another ROM, my bootloader was already unlocked. But I think it's not obligatory.
Anyway, OEM unlocking is not complicated, so you can do it to be sure.
Attention! The OEM unlocking will erase your user data!
Firstly, allow USB debugging and OEM unlocking in the advanced options on your device.
Then, you have to install all the drivers. Please read with attention this manual.
(You can also read this thread)
Now unpack View attachment adb.rar to the root of drive C.
Connect your device to PC with the USB cable and confirm USB debugging.
Launch the windows command line (cmd) as administrator and type the following commands:
1) Go to the folder with adb:
Code:
cd C:\adb
2) Check if adb recognizes your device:
Code:
adb devices
If it recognize your device you will see your serial number. For example:
Code:
List of devices attached
TWGMIJGMFMDE65LR device
If the list of attached devices is empty, it means the drivers are installed incorrectly.
3) Reboot your device to the bootloader mode:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Now you will see on your phone the black screen with "FASTBOOT mode" at the bottom.
4) Check if fastboot recognizes your device:
Code:
fastboot devices
If it recognize your device you will see your serial number.
5) Unlock the bootloader:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Confirm the unlocking on your device using the volume up key.
6) Reboot your phone to the normal mode:
Code:
fastboot reboot
Done!
P.S. Sorry for my english.
Very good!
Easy and fast procedure.
To be sure, I will unlock the bootloader too.
No problem, also my english is not the top .
Thank you a lot for helping me.
Greetings!

My acer z630s phone sn and imei is invalid. help how to input my imei number.

Root is good! ... This ACER Z630s is a novum, - very special phone, - that will not come back on the market in near future, because of these five things:
1.) battery = big/removable, 2.) real dual-sim + SD, 3.) 3/32 GB, 4.) LTE/4G on both SIM, 5.) low price (new between 180 € and 300 €)!
For me, all the other missing features (Glossnast/Galileo, NFC, display-resolution (ppi), water-resistance, etc.) are not important (but yes, I miss them), because no other smartphone has all 5 points from above gathered in one phone! ... So why is the community only interested to develop TWRP or Lineage for more popular phones, though this very interesting one has still no root, since it was released in September 2015? - I would give my Note 4 for this phone - so good is it!

How can I root my MIUI11 Redmi 8A dual without unlocking bootloader?

Hello all xda members,
I am not new in rooting. I was rooting my phone since 2014. When KitKat and lollipop introduced. After I purchased the new redmi 8A dual, it's impossible to root with kingoroot and with others. So, I googled how to root Android 10 miui11. I found there is an app called magisk. So I installed it. Now, I searched more, I found that I have to unlock my bootloader in order to install custom recovery. I really don't wanna unlock my bootloader and custom recovery. I just wanna root for temporarily because I need to convert some application to sys apps.
Now,
I found that people doing another magisk way to root and is called 'patching boot image', . I patched my boot image and download the platform tool. Now, I am completely puzzled because I don't know what to do next! Some are saying I have unlock bootloader and some are rooting without unlocking bootloader.
If by patching boot image root is possible without bootloader then could you please write the steps! I am completely noob in magisk line.
Or,
Is there any way to root MIUI11 without unlocking bootloader? I really don't wanna loss my data.
Thanks for reading!

Your only chance of rooting without unlocking bootloader is to find a universal rooting app or PC program that has an exploit that works on your device. But, I doubt that there is an app or PC program that can root your device, those stopped working on devices with android versions newer than Marshmallow.

How to unlock my bootloader in sasmung A500G, no oem unlock option.

So actually i want to root my phone and for that i have to unlock my bootloader , but there is no oem unlock option in devloper option, i tried that time change method, and didn't work, and i tried fastboot, but fastboot isn't detecting my device, (i checked drivers in device manager, but there was no yellowed drivers (i forgot that symbol name) in other device section. So can anyone help me with this?
To root a phone's Android it's NOT required to unlock its bootloader.
I know , but i want to use superuser method, not by any apps likes kingo root or king root cause of ads issue.

How to unlock Samsung A01

I need some help unlocking the bootloader on my Samsung A01. The instructions say to enable developer mode — basic stuff — and then enable USB debugging and OEM Unlocking. You guessed it: the OEM Unlock option just ain't there. I tried the trick with chaging the date and checking for updates, but it didn't help. Please, can anyone give me some help that will actually fix the problem? I just want to root this damn thing.

Ok then. How do I do it? All the other guides tell me I have to. And how would I install TWRP, which I definitely want to do?
Every guide I look at tells me I have to unlock the bootloader first.
You do NOT need to root your phone's Android to install TWRP - a custom recovery, but you will need to unlock the bootloader. Take note that Android OS has nothing to do with phone's bootloader, that Android OS gets launched by bootloader if device didn't get tampered.

Ok, how do I just root for now? I want Magisk. I'm trying to install it with ADB, but I'm getting Error 21.
Furthermore, how do I unlock the bootloader when the system doesn't want to give me the OEM Unlocking option?
You do NOT need to root your phone's Android before to install Magisk: you typically root Android OS by means of Magisk.
You install Magisk via TWRP what requires an unlocked bootloader. You unlock a phone's bootloader via FASTBOOT tool what requires OEM Unlock option got activated before applying the bootloader-unlock.

So basically until I can use the OEM Unlock option, I can't do a darn thing, can I?
So how do I get it?
I'm going to ask for help on this again. I've been around the forum, I've looked for anything I could find, and I'm still no closer to getting this thing solved.
