I know that this phone has just been released in the past few days, but I am surprised that there is not a single battery case available given that the manufacturers of accessories have had the phone long enough to make plenty of cases, screen protectors. Does anyone here know how long after the release of the G6 battery cases were released?
I've been looking for the past hour. Haven't found a single one. They made plenty of them for the g6 and the v30. So I'm sure they we'll see some soon. I'm hoping before December.
I want a battery case but not zero lemon.if they they slim it down a bit. I don't want another 4500mah. I'll take just an additional 2200mah. So it could remain slim. The zero lemon for my g6 is way too large and bulky. The phones got a large back so they could easily make one 2000-2500mah slender in design and with nice bumper edges. I hate the ones that are really stiff and possibly break easily
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your interest in our products. We are happy to inform you that we are currently designing a case for the LG V30. There is no exact release date for the case but we would definitely keep our customers updated through our official website or our facebook page or you can subscribe to our newsletter on zerolemon.com for news and updates.
Thank you for your support to ZeroLemon! We wish you a great day.
Best Regards,
Joey

I'll try to ask them directly via email to see the progress ^^
Update
Just got an email from Joey saying end of January to beginning of Feburary.
Is anyone familiar with this brand?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-V30-Bat...548769?hash=item1c9d9f5361:g:aoYAAOSwtKVaUynr
Seems expensive and I'm tempted to just wait for the Zerolemon case, but I do like the slim profile.

Be really careful with this kind of case. I know what they say, but I've had these third party knockoff cases before and either they don't do passthrough sync/charge or they get overheated or they just don't work well. The good thing is it's through amazon, so you're sort of protected.

Thanks, but I personally have no plans on buying any time soon. My battery lasts me about 2 days and I'm more than happy with that.
I was only posting that link because the price was much less expensivw on Amazon than eBay.

Their thinking is prob they wouldn't have to compete with extended batteries when it comes to the HTC One while they'd have to with the S4
Im willing to bet that the mophie for S3 was highly unsuccessful partially because of the $100 price but mainly because of the removable battery. It simply is not worth their time to build a mophie for the S4 when extended batteries are so readily available.
Didn't Samsung release a 3000mAH battery for the S3 so we can expect an official extended battery for the S4 aswell.

Not necessarily the case (pun?). We don't release information on products pre-release. This doesn't mean that we aren't working on anything at all, just that we don't have any info to pass on as of right now. However, when we do, our mophieDOTcom/newsletter (pardon the lack of direct link due to XDA policies) is where we'll pass the info along first!
Stay charged, ladies and gentlemen.

Mophie,
I respect your company - you recently helped me when I got screwed by a counterfeiter... I appreciate that. I also respect your policy, but if I drop $80 on a competitor's case, even if you roll one the next day - I'm not likely to drop $100 on one of yours (which is what I want).

Why in the world would you want a battery case, especially if it costs $100?
The S4 has a user replaceable battery, buy a bigger one or an extra one. It's cheaper and way more efficient.
$40 for a 7,500 mAh zerolemon battery, which comes with a case and your phone will last 3 days with 12 hours of screen time.
If you don't want to live with the bulk get a few small batteries too.
You would still have change to buy a nice case if you needed it.
Hopefully the guys at Mophie have some common sense and don't waste their working capital to make an external battery case for the S4.

Agreed! If you are willing to carry the extra bulk of the case, might as well just carry extra battery packs.

All in one solution is better for most people, but form factor is a problem. Since most of the premium cases are made for standard sizes and probably because 2600 is going to be generally enough.
The vast majority of the users will find the 2600 mah ample enough for their needs. Especially once they figure out to turn off location services via wifi and reporting to Google.
Those people who use their smart phones for more than phone calls, texts, emails, occasional web support, and here and there app support are generally okay.
It's those people who use their smart phones as gaming platforms, their ongoing wifi hotspot connection etc. In other words, of those 20 million devices sold, I'd venture to say that marketshare is small.
Then you various solutions already like people have mentioned.
I've had a morphie case before and I'm quite certain that it's protection as a case is on par or WORSE than the zerolemon backplate/case combination that gives you 7500 mah. The case solutions for the 4500 mah/5200 mah extended batteries are poor.

Sadly no case
And 100 dollars? No thanks
That's a more practical-sized battery and infinitely more attractive than the zero lemon overkill monstrosity.
It it actually looked better than it does and was in line with the V10 design, I'd be willing to spend 100 bucks on it.
But no, still pretty fugly.
actually looks great in my opinion. Will definitely be buying it in the future

Looks OK, bit too much $$$. I am still waiting for a slightly higher capacity standard sized battery. I want to still use my Otterbox. Am also not sure how high of a capacity they can pump into the battery before they have to make it larger. 3500 mAh?
Will they even produce slighter higher capacity battery?

Good grief, $100; hell no. OEM V10 batteries can be grabbed off EBay for $15 now. Or Ankers' fantastic external Quick Charge 10,500 battery for $34.
Wow, too much money!! I have the ZL and it is huge, but I can deal with that...
Holy guacamole! That's nuts! Rather buy a couple of standard batts than spend that much!
**** that is close to how much it cost when I had my HTC Tytn II back in 07.
just buy another battery with a charging dock. problem solved, much cheaper, more mobility!
anyone bought this yet? Just found it today. Looks awesome with the stand back. Mugen quality. Sizing infinitely better than ZL girth.
This is much cheaper HERE. I have 2 of the same brand for my LG G4

That's a mobile link, won't work on a computer.
That battery is also highly unlikely to be 7600mah, the case is cheap TPU, and the Mugen back design style is nicer layout incl. the kickstand.
If the battery isn't 7600mah then it'll be close to it. I'm on my 4500mah and yes it seems to be like 4500mah if you look my Thread and plus that case is only the back for it. I bought a TPU case that fits over it

Highly highly unlikely. It's probably two V10 batteries wired together. Which would = ~6000mah, just like the Mugen is. ZL, Hyperion, Anker, AceSoft, they all do the same thing like that. For $38 I highly doubt it's legitimately as advertised.
Also, "New 7600mAh Extended Life Battery + White Back Cover + HoneyComb Extended TPU Case For LG V10 H968 H961N H900 H901 VS990"
I ordered the Mugen product yesterday, I like their items and warranty and backing design w/stand. I can report back here if anyone's interested (seems like most people on XDA just like to talk trash about extended batteries)
Ok whatever. I know what i've done to test my batteries and i'm happy with my Extended Batteries. I'm testing my 6000mah with PCMark for Android with the Battery Work Test and IDC what the test result is. I've done the REAL Testing

As mentioned in my Thread ZeroLemon is already making a revision to the case to get rid of half the negatives in this post. Wait and do a revisit next month because they are sending everyone who purchased the old one a free new one. While the review is good its already dated.

I don't really want to argue, but this is hardly "dated". They sent out what they deemed a final product & I simply reviewed it. I've had it for less than a week since it became available for order. Only a handful of orders went out before they ran out of stock. I'm going to assume less than a hundred units.
I'm glad they are willing to resolve the issues for those still interested in this product, but at $60 there are much better options that are more practical and cheaper.

dated? I think not.
There's no way they're going to fix the fact it is obese, the three piece case, not ideal, and i for sure would end up breaking that usb port.
OP thanks for the great vid and your honest unbiased opinion. Just physically seeing a good video of it made it an easy "no" for me.
I understand I wasn't trying to start an argument. I understand most of the people that didn't want was the issues with the case that was pointed out and of course the size. Zerolemom unlike mophie specializes in bigger mah batteries than other makers so this comes at no surprise. To each their own but even if I don't wear it all the time it's a good case to charge and throw in the bag instead of having hanging wires. I do agree to the great video as it just keeps me excited to grab mines from my house in the states. Maybe dated was a bad choice of words, just was mentioning that they are fixing the negatives and not just leaving people high and dry
Well.. I'm a bit hopeless ATM.
I'm trying to buy a new replacement battery for my H850.
Thing is, internet is FULL of scam sellers and even more products.
I mean yeah, it's easy to avoid Chinese crap with 18569303mah but there are batteries claim to be the "original" with the yellow sticker and everything but they're actually just fake copies.
Is there any trusted place I can order the actual original LG replacement and not a fake made in a basement in China?
Thanks
LG still sells OEM G5 batteries on their website for 39.99 USD. First result when googling LG G5 Battery. No one seems happy about the battery life on the reviews though.
original battery is also available in Aliexpress, i found only 1 listing with OEM battery, all others are fake!
I absolutely love my G5 SE H840, but the battery is shot. I can barely get half a day out of the thing. Open a game and I can sit and watch the battery drain at 3/4% per second. No I am in the market for a bettery and am also having a hard time finding an OEM battery anywhere around here (South Africa)

Normally the fakes come in horrible printed packaging And compared to a genuine one you can tell all kinds of misprints and such defects in the manufacturing process.
Where did all the spare batteries and charging cradles that lg gave away go? lol
I got 3 batteries and a cradle for mine still
Well I've got the battery and it seem fine.
It'll be the last battery for my G5.
By the time new battery will be needed G7 will be out and well... xD
Why not buy the charging cradle that already comes with an additional battery? Most of these cradles are legit and cheap, my most recent purchase was from last year and I only payed 18$ for a charging cradle (the battery included, same capacity) through Amazon
I would never pay for it $40 for this battery, I have two batteries and both of them drain horribly bad and most likely are already dying, and since i spent an entire year daily switching each battery due to lacking a charging cable, that only means that it used each battery for the length of an half a year.
These batteries are so so so so worthless it's not worth the sacrifice spending ton on money on a single unit
Edit: checked Amazon, cradles aren't cheap anymore, i guess lg dropped support for the lg g5 so their are not restocking their older replacement parts, unless I'm wrong.
You CAN find like 9$ lg g5 batteries on Amazon, by LG LG (not considering they are not the supplier, be careful with whichever store supplier you're buying, refunds are guaranteed either one way or another so it's nothing to worry about)
But yeah enjoy ur new fresh battery, hope this info helps others
Just ordered the 2-pack of AEXPower along with the external charger off Amazon. I have a Disney trip this weekend so I'll definitely make use of testing them out. I'll update this post Sunday night or Monday.
Update on the AEXPower batteries. Are they OEM quality? Close. I can almost get a full days of use out of it...taking pictures and posting to social media and such. But, the joy of this phone is having the ability to swap out batteries quickly. Battery Stats rated the battery right at 2800mAh after a few 100% discharges so I highly doubt that it's actually the 3000mAh that they rate it at. However, it's still a good battery and would definitely recommend it since you're getting 2 batteries and an external charger for sub $30.
Is it better to get OEM battery which was manufactured in 2016 or non OEM manufactured in 2017? Also does non OEM support Quick Charge 3?

Just ordered the two pack with charger..... will post sometime in May after they get down here to me in S.A.
I have been using two LG batteries with the LG charger dock but they now shut off the phone when they get down to 15% very fast.
Was just going to get a newer phone but now with 15.1 (Oreo) coming soon I think I will stick with the phone another year!
I think we will be the last with a swappable battery in our phones
Do you foresee a battery case coming out for this phone? Or know of one in the making? Better yet one that exists? Thanks!
Yes, it will probably be 3-6 months before one comes out though, most likely. We barely even have any regular aftermarket cases except super cheapass generic thin TPU cases right now.

Actually, the ZeroLemon 7500mah battery case for the OnePlus 3 is compatible with the OnePlus 6. I havr tried it and it works. Every port and button aligns along with the camera and even the fingerprint scanner. But the notification slider is hidden since it is on a different side now.

@sabbyj, thanks for the tip! I see the case you're talking about is this one. It's pretty bulky - not gonna lie! That's awesome to know. I'm sure one could cut a hole out for the slider too. I found a battery case that's more of a slimmer profile. It looks a little sketch but TBH, these type of cases were made for all the oneplus's and they can be found on aliexpress, Though I haven't found any reviews on it. Who knows how the quality will be. It's also not exactly my style as I prefer the battery cases that offer more protection like the one you mentioned.
Hopefully there will be more coming out soon!! Please post here if anyone finds one! Thank you:good:
I think this list might help for grabbing a OnePlus 6 battery case
roundup of battery cases and chargers
I just got my first Oneplus (6) , and as a fan of zerolemon products I will be waiting for their extended charger. I have had a Zero lemon battery for my last two phones including S4 and the Note 9 and loved both of them. I find a brick phone that doesn't die way more useful than a slim phone that dies out on you when you need it and worse yet you have to drag around power banks for it everywhere.
Last I asked Zerolemon on FB they said they were working on a Note 9 case, so hopefully they start working on a OP6 one now! The amount of demand and sale this phone has had there's no way they won't be supporting it.
Realistically, unless you're a very heavy user, there's not a NEED for a extended battery. It's not like you're scared to leave the house without a charger. I take my charger to work with me and rarely use it. These are 12hr shifts too. Granted, I'm not on my phone all shift. I do have to do a little work,. Lol
Sadly, it's very difficult to find battery cases for phones other than the ones from Apple and Samsung. I really want an OnePlus 6 or 6T (when the latter comes out), but I have to get a battery case as I keep traveling where hooking up to my phone for long time is a common thing (wait for the customer at his place, stuck in the Indian traffic jam in a public vehicle). I have been using a 7500 mAh powerbank, but that feels inconvenient. I know using a battery case means I have deal with its bulk, but that is acceptable (it will also protect my phone anyway in case I drop it).

I appreciate that. But the shipping cost would be too much, not worth it. I even have friends in US who could help, but that can work only if one of them makes a visit to India this winter. Ali is not an option in India, I guess. I may have to end up buying Note 9 which is a far more capable device for sure, but I'm not sure whether I want to spend that much specially when my travel would be hectic (high probability of phone damage). Oh well, a battery case would be there, but...
