I flashed your recovery on my honor 8 lite pra-la1.
And there are so many errors saying error opening data
And I can't backup data partition
It showed error 255
Before falshing your recovery I used p8 lite 2017 twrp
It couldn't backup data partition too( it can backup
Data partition to internal storage but can't backup data to sd card)
But at least there wasn't such an error that can't open data!!!!
I attach screenshots too explain more

I have modded TWRP (by HassanMirza01) and slightly different firmware (PRA-LX1C432) but my symptoms are veeeery similiar. What I'm unable to do is just create a backup of Data partition. I can provide two logs: one from backup attempt and the second one just from booting into TWRP. What I'm also concerned about is that initially (I did not do any changes to the system, just unlocked the phone and flashed TWRP) TWRP reports /data filesystem as f2fs. Is it correct ? Any clue what is going on with my system to be so reluctant to TWRP ?

I Unlocked my bootloader successfully and flashed a TWRP Recovery on my device.But when I want to flash any supersu zip file with any version,the device goes on boot loop after rebooting from recovery.a real bootloop!!!that never can go on OS.

It's solved!
I Just went to Recovery and mounted system and Installed last superSU.zip (v2.82).and Now rooted phone works perfectly.
My recovery: TWRP 3.0.2.0 Mate 7

Its because system isnt mounted automatically by the zip . which results in flashing into other partitions and modified boot is a failure of dm verity check .This is the reason for bootloop .and glad thst u fixed it urself .

I've been trying to get resurrection remix working on my honor 8 for a few days without luck. I've tried following the instructions in the OP as well as flashing update.zip/ update_full_hw_usa.zip and I tired the vendor.zip from the LOS thread.
Every time I try and flash the rom (it also happens if I try the LOS rom) TWRP gives me error 7.. I believe this means incompatible device?
I have been formatting the partition before flashing as well as clearing dalvik cache and factory resetting. My device is the Chinese model (AL10) so I think that's why I'm having issues..
Perhaps I need to flash an international version of Huawei's software first?
Any help appreciated!

Bro u should be in version of emui 5 and flash the twrp openkirin edtion nougat one .
1,Then format data > type yes and reboot again to twrp
2.flash the full rros 600+ mb zip and over it flash rros latest one and done . reboot to system.
If you experience random reboots format the data once.

I'm not currently on that version of twrp - I did try it but without luck - I'll try it again tonight.
I think I have the correct rr zip, it's in the op of the thread and is over 600mb as you say.

So I am definitely on openkirin's TWRP 3.1.1-1-frd and I cannot even format or factory reset. When I try to format data I get the message:

When I try and factory reset I get the following:

Yes it was encryption issue , after reboot your encryption will be removed.and you can format the data without any errors
I think I'd corrupted the data partition as its size was shown as 0. After fixing it the ROM flashed! Only thing now is it says no sim.. I'm using a 4g/LTE sim card
I've restored a backup to EMUI and camera doesn't work =/
I've also noticed something interesting; on the back of my phone it says AL10, EMUI about reports it as AL00 but RR rom also has AL10.. I think my version may have something to do with the sim issue? I see a lot of people saying you need to update officially first but mine has none available..

Bro got this in last night whrn flashing the stock firmwares, just before flashing the firmwares flash over los 14.1 zip , it is working fine now , i think it was due to broken vendor , it was fixed by los zip

Sorry, I don't know if I understand - you just flashed the LOS rom and it fixed it or you needed to flash a fixed vendor.zip?

sorry for my English, last night I got the same issue(cameras not working in emui ) when I flash the stock firmware the camera is not worked even after several clean flashes, then I encountered an error of /vendor is broken.
so I just fixed it by flashing 1. los 14.1 and over it i flashed the stock firmware ,it worked , cameras working now in emui

No problems, I appreciate your help! I understand - I did have broken camera before and it fixed when I flash a fresh zip. I think it is broken now because I restored a backup in twrp. I'm just not sure how to get my sim card working in RR or LOS roms..

Which model is your device? Not working sims? Chinese one ?
I messed up and Unfortunatly deleted the system files and phone went into bootloop. Does any one have twrp backup of system or frimware of RNE-L22C675B141.
I found the OTA update.zip file but that is not installing through twrp
When i went to the backup in twrp it is showing Boot (32 MB ), Cache (0 MB) , Data (excl.storage) (1514 MB) ,System (3723 MB) ,Vendor (555 MB)

I flashed. It is showing boot (32 mb), recovery(64 mb), cache(0 mb), Cust(192 mb),misc(2 mb), Oeminfo(64 mb), Data(excl.storage)(1515 mb),System(3723 mb), Vendor(555 mb), Product(129 mb), Version(32 mb)

I followed this, recovered and now i can do backups through twrp recovery.
But the previous problem exists that dolby is not working and not uninstalling because of that my earphones are not detected.Could any one provide me backup of system..

Try with unofficial twrp from pretoriano80 that twrp is working flawesly with BKL-L04 dunno about other models.

Procedures after booting into TWRP?

Thanks for the update with TWRP for Redmi6 Pro first, i am just confused about what do you mean by "flashing twrp after booting into TWRP.img", i know i can do that by install disk image in twrp, but it asks for file decryption password, otherwise twrp shows 0MB for every partition.
So there is nothing to flash.
What should i do about that? If you can provide some suggestions that would be great!

Edit: Boots, but partition-scheme kills the fun... Data can be formatted, but all other partitions can´t be mounted. Flashing back stock recovery and wiping data with stock brings everything to normal...
You can always use memory card.

Anyone here tried rooting via Magisk? Also, flashing the TWRP image after after booting into it will make it persistent, right?

Magisk works well no problem..however i cant seem to boot into twrp, it always boots into mi recovery..only way i booted to twrp is by using pc.

It didnt work for me..flashed the recovery partition with twrp from booted twrp many times.. no luck..vol up + pwr button same mi recovery 3
I've read somewhere that because i've been using miui it always boots up in mi recovery..
I cant seem to remember if i had working twrp with miui before in previous mi phones..

Try both vol up+down+power together

If mi recovery is present then it means you didn't flash twrp img after booting into it. Follow the instructions carefully.
So all of you folks have already unlocked the bootloader of your Redmi Note 6 Pro and are using TWRP?
I tried unlocking mine on the 10th and was given a 30-day waiting lockout before I could unlock my bootloader

Are you able to access twrp using keys? Because i flashed many times using booted twrp..i must be doing something wrong..
