how to turn off pixel lines - Android General

Hello
I have a dead line of pixels on my screen and i want to turn off the screen on that line(it is constantly white due to dmg to the OLED)
i tried with adb (overscan command) but that only moves them up and the area is grey
i was wondering if there is a way to completely turn off 10 rows of my screen so they stay permanently black

[Q] Not sure if this is a dead pixel on my phone

I noticed a dot on my screen when I was writing a text message (on a white background) so I decided to investigate the issue further and checked to see how the small dot looked against various other colored backgrounds (cyan, red, yellow, black). What I noticed is that when the dot is against a black background it turns to white. When I turn my screen off the white dot is still there. Do pixels remain visible on the screen after the screen has been turned off, or are you only able to see them when the screen on?
I'm trying to determine if it's a dead pixel, stuck pixel, or dust under the screen and trying to figure out how to get rid of it.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Should be a stuck pixel as a dead pixel wouldn't light up at all (Dead as in you know - it doesn't work). Try pressing on it lightly to possibly get it unstuck.
Or it could be something dirty under the screen, heh.

Nexus 5 Display Unresponsive and horizontal and Vertical Lines

Hi All,
I just recently dropped my Nexus 5 flat on front face down. Now the screen is showing colored vertical lines some are horizontal and some vertical lines. Most lines are at the bottom part of screen. The LCD is completely safe and clean because of tempered grass. The screen is also unresponsive. Phone is turning on without any issue. When I press hard on the screen then so many vertical red lines appears.
Please help if anyone has fixed this issue before.
Thanks

Green Line appears on screen after display on?

The Green line doesn't show up if I switch off the phone and on it. But when you use it for a while and put it on screen lock mode display off) and switch it on back after a while (about in 10-20 mins) then a green color line appears and it's very clearly visible on grey colors. And later on another mildly visible line appears right below the top line on the bottom side but it's not as visible as the line appears on top. Is it display problem? do i have to change the display?
please help me

This is a feature of the amoled screen. All black pixels are actually off. Though if you don't want it, there is a way to disable it:
Settings>Advanced>Display>Ambient Display then switch it off

Fixing screen without removal

Screen appears to have died.
First it started with a vertical line of wrong colour pixels, it was this way for a few months. Then half the screen went white and later that day the screen died.
It flickers white and pink for a split second in the top right corner when you wake it, but then goes off. Otherwise the phone works as screenshots and apps respond, and responds to touch.
Don't suppose anyone knows any dirty tricks for fixing it that don't require taking it apart? Like heating it or something?
