Knocking three times on my screen doesn't open it like it did when it was new. I need to access the Secret Service Menu but all the codes I've found don't work. My model is the VS986. Can anyone help?

Hi there, Im probably going to get a lot of replies telling me how easy this is but im stuck, so my friend brought over a 16gb Samsung galaxy s3 from America to New Zealand, where I currently am, the model number of the phone is SCH-I535 if that changes anything but okay when I put a 2degrees sim card in it (my current network provider) it doesnt work. Ive been told and attempted the service menu unlock method but putting in the code *#197328640# nothing happens but I was able to access the service menu by putting in the code *#0011# and that method worked but I was only able to get as far as clicking network lock option, when I click that it just comes up with a blank screen. Are there any other methods to sim unlock? Dont care how extensive it is or if it requires rooting and a computer just want to be able to use this phone with my sim and current network. Or if anyone has the fix to the blank screen after clicking network lock then thats great too. Please help, ive been trying to do this for so long now and just want this phone to work.
Thanks!

It is because you have AT&T provider ROM. These bastards remove and disable many stuff. You just dont have your new mobile operator settings on phone. But unlock without these you can this way:
- Please insert an accepted simcard
-Enter the following sequence on dialpad: 2945#*850# or 2945#*855#. <- 850 or 855 is your phone model number
-A hidden menu should appear
- In the network part please input the NCK code provided by our website.
-The phone is unlocked
Now go to Settings -> (More ...) -> Mobile networks -> Access point names
On right top corner click to three dots and click New APN
Insert needed settings for your operator and again click to right top corner to three dots -> Save
Reboot and you online
This phone is from Verizon usa
Boss when I put the code you said to prompt me for unlock code tried alot but doesn't ask when I insert Verizon sim saying your phone is activating wait and after some time getting message we r sorry we r unable to activate your phone I brought it from usa lately I'm in uk
So far I have enabled development mode and tried several different codes to access this menu. These include.
3845#*810#
277634#*#
With no luck? Anyone else got it working?
Also, does anyone else get VoLTE with their G4 on AT&T? I have made several calls over the last couple of days, we are in a VoLTE area, and have always reverted back to HSPA+ during calls.
They don't work for me on my AT&T model either.
Figured it out
Old thread I know, but if you're on 5.1, use the 6.0 code and it'll work *#546368#*810#
Hello there!
I've recently bought 2 ZTE Cymbal T's from the US and I was hoping to unlock them and give them to my grandparents to use them here in Sweden. I know that this is CDMA phone but I did some research and found out that it supports a few GSM bands that I can use here. I've ordered an unlocking code in hopes to unlock it. The problem is when I follow the unlocking process instruction, the "The unlocking menu does not show up. I've tried many codes like. ###3854#xxxxxxxx# with the "xxxxxxxxx" being the unlocking code, ###825*09# , *983*8284# to get the unlocking menu up so i can enter the unlocking code. I've even downloaded a third party app phone dialer just to get some basic codes working like checking the IMEI with *#06#. Is there anyway that I can bring the "unlocking menu" up even by any chance with rooting the phone.
Thank you.
My phone is broken and all I have is this Boost Mobile LG G Stylo (LS770). I poured through the logs from ADB and eventually got the MSL. I know it works because it lets me access menus now that previously prompted me for a code. Problem is when I put another carriers SIM in it it just says 'Invalid SIM'. I can't figure out for the life of me where to enter the MSL for carrier unlocking. Everything I've read says you need the MSL for unlocking. I was messing around with this Kyocera Kona flip-phone and I got the MSL for that too, but with that phone you can do ##THEMSLCODE# and it will let you edit MDN / MSID. Both the Kyocera and the LG are locked to Boost Mobile and I don't have Boost Mobile anymore. If anyone could point me in the right direction of what carrier unlocking consists of I'd be really appreciative. I am not 100% clear on exactly how mobile networks authenticate or how you tell them to try to communicate with one carrier's network over another.
Any help would be awesome because if I can't get either of these to work in the next week or so I am going to lose my service.
Also, what exactly does DIAG mode do?
