Hi guys its Codex better known as Alpha_Killer previously Known as Network_Delta[emoji14]We have known that yet there is no method to get rid of trial themes on S8/S8+ unless we Disable ThemeCenter .apk or Rename it from Themecenter.apk to Themecenter.apk.bak which will disable themes ... well today it will change i have been wanting to crack the this theme thing and i think i finally did it.. Method is given below:
<Mod Edit>
Now get into Theme Center you should be able to change your wallpapers, icons, aods and themes but a drawback your trial theme wont appear in the themes Area but the fact remains you got your theme applied and can change wallpapers etc.
Its better than having the Theme Center disabled right??
This method has been tested by a bunch of people and confirmed working....
This Method Works Fully on the Note 8 Ports

Lol. He really thinks he cracked something. Have one better for him. Instead of renaming to bak. He could have just cut and paste from trial json to user folder and reboot. So he would have access to the themes at will. He only can't update them cause of course they haven't been paid for. People have been doing this since the themes started few years back.
Same principle for icon trials

any way to do it without root? Theme killer did it for a while but I forget how they did.
Without root
1. . Goto https://seap.samsung.com/license-keys/how-to
2. Sign in with your Samsung account as developer
3. Generate Standard Knox SDK key (Enterprise License Management)
4. Install ThemeControl app (APK file will be in sdcard/themeGalaxy)
4. Enable Device admin rights to the app
5. Enter your key and activate the Knox SDK ELM License
Now the Theme store can be enabled / disabled from the app.
Simply, Follow this guide to get ELM key
http://project-vivid.weebly.com/how-to-get-elm-key.html
Once after you disabled the packages, if you install new theme/reboot the device The theme center service may get start. So when it does, enable and disable the theme store again.

Hello everyone.
This is a bit off topic question, but since U guys seem to know what to do with json files, does anyone maybe know how can I remove a theme from samsung keyboard?
I've been willing to do this because I like black themes but I don't want my keyboard to be black.
My phone is rooted.
Can't open theme its crashing...
Any idea....?

To remove a theme from the keyboard you need to remove or rename the apk that ends with inputlanguage.apk from the folder data/overlays/currentstyle you may replace the theme with another on just the keyboard if you put another themes *inputlanguage.apk into the currentstyle folder and rename it the same as the original you just replaced. Then reboot. I've attached a couple of images showing renaming the original apk then rebooting and you can see i am back to stock keyboard

This replaces a lot more than just font. Your whole theme will change(framework-res & SystemUI.apk).
Is it just stock? Did you add the mobile network toggle in the power menu like in your screenshot?
Here some more......
HERE SOME FONTS.... ONLY FLASH WITH XRCVRY...
REMEMBER....
I CANT GARNET THIS ALL FONTS ARE WORKING....
BUT...
MOST OF THEM ARE WORKING....
SPECIALLY LIKE.... SonySketch,AlienLines,Sansation ETC.....
IF NOT WORKING PLZ DONT ANGRY WITH ME...

This thread is unbelievable, why can't people just goto the uot kitchen and do this themselves.
If you try you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is and how much more you can actually theme your phone to exactly how you want it!

No it does not change framework-res and systemUI, when you change fonts and/or boot animation you don't even have to upload those files to the kitchen, it does not change them! Try watching the you tube help video on their site

Download one of these packs and you'll see that they are included (the size is a dead giveaway, then the apps are there if you extract)

Then the OP has included them when they are not needed.
Anyone can goto the kitchen and change fonts without having to upload those files.
If these files DO change them (And i do believe you, I havent downloaded them yet) then the OP needs to change the attachments to font files that dont change them.
Thanks for pointing out that these do change framework, People need to know that before they flash them, I was just pointing out that changing fonts (Or bootanimation) shouldnt change framework or systemUI if it is done properly

Then you need to do like 10assaye said and watch the videos on the UOT site. You don't have to upload anything to change fonts. You can make a zip with only the fonts. The zips you made are mostly unnecessary. They are 5mb when they could be 200kb. Plus they will change the theme back to stock for custom theme users. And then there's a 7mb one that either contains an insanely large font or is a more modified framework...
I understand what you are trying to do and it is appreciated but you need to understand what you are actually doing.

i guess not i read a bunch about just getting the theme chooser.apk and uploading that and it is supposed to add an apk to the zip it gives u to download
1. Go to the Kitchen page
2. Browse through the available mods and choose what you want (don't forget to press Generate preview if there is such a button)
3. Go to the file upload section and upload the required files, or choose the ROM you use from the kitchen's list (most roms in the list are for HTC Desire)
Files you need to upload:
Froyo rom: framework-res.apk
Gingerbread rom: framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk
Gingerbread with sense rom: framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and com.htc.resources.apk
Cyanogenmod7 rom: Cyanbread.apk or Androidian.apk or any theme for ThemeChooser (rename as you like it to apear in theme menu)<----thats what im using
NOTE 1: if you’re uploading theme apk then do not upload any other files; you’re just wasting traffic, because the kitchen will ignore additional files
NOTE 2: Font packs and boot animation do not require files to be uploaded. If you choose only those mods then you get a download without a queue.
4. Go to the summary section. All chosen mods must have a green background. If there is a mod in red background it means you didn’t finish it.
Press Submit work to kitchen
5. Remember the UOT file name (your order number).
6. Go to the Pickup page and wait for your file to appear (it can take from 5min to 1hr or more)
7. Download UOT zip into SD card of your phone
8. Reboot into recovery
9. Wipe cache and dalvik-cache (just in case). Do not wipe data / factory reset.
10. Flash UOT zip
11. Reboot phone

No. Theme Chooser themes only work with roms that have themechooser integration. Otherwise its a lot of work to port.

Hey Kwes - I have not tried UOT with New Clip because you mentioned themes may break things. Does that also apply to UOT? I wanted to change the color of all the items on the status bar to the hex ICS color. Should that be OK if I do not change anything else?
Or is there a better way to do that?

As long as you use the systemui and framework-res from the rom it shouldn't break anything. But some sketchy edits I made in framework as work a rounds might not let you edit it with uot but you can always try. I'm gonna update soon if I can just get these lock screens right.

Thanks. I will give it a try tonight or tomorrow. I want to make a set of all gingerbread green status bar icons and a set of all ICS blue status bar icons. If it works I will send them to you and you could add them to New Clip (if you want to) as an option for people that want everything matching, but do not want a complete makeover theme.
I just think it looks nice when the battery, clock, signal, wifi, etc match in color. Fond of ICS blue right now. I think I know how to repack it so anyone can use it. I'll PM you later if I get it done.
Edit: Well...that was a disaster. I just changed the status bar icons and added a different battery. Result was a boot loop twice and then a black screen requiring a battery pull. Restored my back up and will give it another try. Maybe a bad file download?

An all new update is just around the corner. Kwes1020 has some magic he is holding back until its right. Old weapon 3.0 works fine with UOT. I am not a real theme guy. I answer easy questions for noobs and piggyback off the hard work of others, but always give credit and thanks to the real guys. If the update does not happen as expected, I will take another stab at it.
I love learning new things and android has become an addiction. If you want to try, read up on topic. Tons of good info out there. UOT is simple to use. The trick is making the zip you create compatable with every one else. There is a mini tutorial in the moonman thread.
My First Time
So I sat for over an hour making my first OUT kitchen Theme if that is what you call it, I am waiting for it to cook as you say.... hope all goes well when I flash it to my stock Gingerbread rom......
Just wondering if its possible to just apply a part of a theme rather than the whole package? Like just the icons, or just the AOD?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Unfortunately, no. It's been this way since Samsung started offering themes, and so far no solution has been found
Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
On a ported ROM for note 3 I used to uninstall the custom icons of the theme using the titanium backup Pro and used unicon to apply custom icons from the play store.
See how u can work with this info for your own convenience.
There is a way but you must know how to use apktool and have knowledge of what goes where. If unpack a theme store theme you will be able to say swap the lockscreen apk for another themes.
Edge of insanity
You can in fact disable parts of themes if you have root. For example if you want to keep stock keyboard theme and everything else be black, you need to find the apk for that portion of the theme and delete it after the complete them has been installed and reboot. Freezing them won't work.
You can use this tutorial to find the part of the theme that you do not want to apply. Hope this helps.

You can replace the icons for any app inside a theme without root. I mean the ones which are already in such theme. You don't even need a PC!
I have just moved to the s7 edge and I am temporarily unrooted and it took me something like 5 minutes to figure how to do it lol!
Apk extractor plus apk editor (the second one is a paid app) and the trick is done. Just extract the theme you need and replace the icons inside with your favorite ones. Just remember that png files must be renamed to qmg (just renamed, not converted). Recompile and install. Apply another theme and then apply the one you have just modded, that's all!
Weird nobody has shared a guide yet. If any of you appreciates it, I can share a detailed how to.
Apk editor is not compulsory, but it is one of the few paid apps I bought.

Sorry
Easy : if you want for example not the icons of the theme : use ''Debloater'' search it on xda, kill ''Theme ... apicon'' and on your phone you can now see it in app, uninstall, reapply theme and that's all ^^
Hey bro have you managed to make the tutorial? As the previous poster said... Many would like to do the same. For example I'm looking for a way to rip icon pack from touchwiz theme. I don't know how.
The theme is called Grey_abstraction from guy called Alex pie. I like the theme but I love the icons but he does not have it in the theme store. Would you know how to do that?
I'm NOT rooted
So I've been trying to get some different look for my recently acquired Mi pad 4 tablet, only to find out that there's no official way how to use the theme store feature. That is on the latest BETA xiaomi.eu rom (not sure if there's Mi Theme Store enabled on chinese global version). Anyway, after some browsing and trial & error I managed to achieve a partial success. This approach isn't new (as I can imagine), but here we go:
1) Download the following app from google Playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sid.soepic.mythemer
Please note, this is still in beta, for example when I tried to apply several themes, they're listed under the same name, in other words they don't refresh in the list. It's a bug, but no a major one, if you ask me.
2) Visit the following website:
https://miuithemes.tk/
There's a good choice of darker themes, pick one you like the most. Please note that you must download the theme with .mtz file format. Initially they download as .zip files, so you have to rename them in your file manager to .mtz format. After that just use My Themer for MIUI app from step 1 and follow the instructions.
3) Since the mi Pad is a tablet, it's not fully optimised with any existing darker third party theme to this date (correct if I'm wrong!). I was able to install some themes that change the status bar to darker theme, wallpaper and lock screen changes as well. But for example the Settings detail section remains white/original/unchanged. If there's a way - official or rather unofficial - how to FULLY apply any DARKER theme to Mi Pad 4 tablet including further system settings, I'll be more than happy to hear about it
P.S.: I've applied this procedure of theme use on Mi Pad 4 that is rooted. But I can imagine it should work on unrooted devices as well.
or you can use nova launcher, under widget for custom activities, and find theme app.

Appreciate the comment, however this approach doesn't work, because the moment when I want to apply any third party theme with .mtz file format, a following message pops up:
Themes from third-party sources are not supported. error: download|auth rejected -99.
With the My Themer MIUI app from Playstore I was able to install third party themes with no problem.
Thanks for the tip though:good:
Themes from Xioami do not work in Europe anymore because of the GDPR. They just removed the functionality in Europe.

If your device is rooted, you can change the fonts easily using TWRP to flash the zip file. I chose a custom font from this source:

Hi as title says I'm looking for any font apps that may work with an unrooted s10+ I've looked through the galaxy store and been un- impressed as I couldn't find what I wanted. Do you guys have any recommendations for any font directories that work for Samsung ??

Wingfonts, here's a link to the download.
You have to put the exe on your computer (which you will find in the wingfonts folder on your phone after installing the apk. Connect with usb and usb debug and run the exe on your computer, install theme, select font. Then restore your current theme after you select font.
Or you can use synergy and substratum lite theme maker where some themes have font package overlays.
Wingfonts 3

These are the three with font overlays.
Thanks for the wing fonts suggestion. I ended up installing telegram to Download the most recent wing font apk file, which has synergy support, meaning I didn't need to use abd. They have literally thousands of fonts
