Does anyone have the Nougat update.app?
I see them floating around for the L09 but the links for the L04 are all dead 404 links.
Would love it if someone had one floating around.
Trying to get my device back to stock.

I am kinda tired of the 7.0 update.
Brightness bug with chrome etc.
No Xposed which I miss.
Have no real benefits from 7.0, so would rather go back to latest Honor 8 stock rom, but I have no Idea how to do this, if its even possible.
I got the FRD-L09C432B360
Best regards,

Hello,
i hope someone can help me to get my Mate 8 updated to nougat. I tried it on my own and ended up in a disaster. Now everything is back to stock and if someone could please tell me the correct steps. I have tried the updater already but it shows that there is no update.
Currently i am on NXT-C900B193. If possible without any root, twrp or similar.
TIA
I think currently you're in global rom..there are many guides in the forum..

I have spent the last two weeks reading forum posts, manuals and tutorials. All i managed to do is get it soft bricked and that is why i don't want to take any chances. I believe it is not to hard just to share a link where i can get the rom that i need.

This phone is damned. I tried installing the file but it fails at 29% with an error message. I downloaded then the firmware finder and picked a firmware that matches my phone, did even the IMEI check and again, fails to install. Any ideas anyone>

Try this method..
1. Reflash UPDATE.APP (Rollback package from EMUI 5.0 to EMUI 4.0) - link below
2. Then after rollback process finish, try to flash UPDATE.APP for EMUI 4.0

already unlocked and twrp flashed. can anybody please point me toward any direction ...... anything would be a great help. and can anybody explain me how the region and build model or whatever that is works, so many numbers, thats the one making me confused so much.
You can by downloading naugat firmware from firmware finder then update but you have to be on stock recovery
Just download firmware finder app from play store enter your model choose nauget firmware you want to update then follow the instructions to update and again you have to be on stock recovery

The way I managed to go from C636 to C432 was through Huawei Multi-Tool, in that change vendor option. After that, I used dload to flash C432.
This site lists all the firmwares for your model, maybe it helps: http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=frd-L14C567&firmware_page=0

But FRD-L14C567 Is a big defference between FRD-L09C432. I dont think that would help me rebrand back to FRD-L14C567.

I just checked Multi-Tool and it seems they're not covering vendor/country change for L14. Too bad.
That's as far has my experience go, so good luck in your research!

Aw man, hopefully they will add it soon so i can come back to L14
And where is the tab in multitool to change vendor/country? I was not able to find that tab in multitool just incase
And when i went to multitool 7, the language was different and the vendor change was filled with question marks.

It happened to me too. I had to download it from their site. It's the application that has that command line look, not the one with the fancy gui.

Oh thanks, i know what your talking about.
Hey everyone,
after reading for a few hours in the Guidesection, just a quick question: If i understand it correctly, the only option for me to get the Oreo Update on a EU Honor 6x (BLN L21c432b382) would to rebrand it like that https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/guide-debranding-to-india-variant-bln-t3679402 and after that use this Guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/update-bln-l22c675-emui-5-x-x-to-emui-8-t3819317 to get Android 8.
Or did i miss an easier solution?
Thanks and cheers from Berlin.
Yeah, leave Huawei and buy Nokia.
I bought my parents version 6.1. They received Pie within an hour. Am awaiting version 6.2 in april. Call me lazy.

Does this hold true with US variant BLN-L24 as well?
TIA, I've been looking for a while, went back to OPO, but I'm still all tangled up in EliteRom 7.7
Cheers

Yes this method holds true for all Honor 6X models.
