Is there a release date for the Gear Sport, cause I asked Samsung on twitter and they were being coy about it in their reply. Will Tizen 3.0 add more sports and tracking features, like rep counting on machines, and breadcrumbs when hiking?
Good Question...
On German site I can find this and German User Manual...
http://www.samsung.com/de/wearables/gear-sport-r600/SM-R600NZBADBT/
Only as info...
Somewhere I read about preorder on US...
https://www.tizenexperts.com/2017/1...ar-sport-gear-iconx-2018-starting-october-13/
Feel free to check your country site on Samsung Page... to find some usefully Infos...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
If I select US site from Samsung...
https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/w...ear-sport-black-sm-r600nzkaxar/?redir=SM-R600
Here it seems I can download English Version of User Manual...
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c..._SM-R600_Gear_Sport_EN_UM_TZ_092717_FINAL.pdf
Went with a different sports watch, their loss.
Maybe in Germany at end of this month...
We will see.
So in other words in November 2017 available... maybe.
Best Regards
My Gear Sport arrived yesterday - send via eBay/Saturn in Germany
Particularly nice is: on the iPhone almost all functions of samsung health inclusive the trackingmaps can be displayed! And Endomondo also is working fine :good:

IMHO Tizen require better and faster support... more Apps etc.. less Bugs and less Restrictions...
I hope soon we can see/read users feedback about SM-R600...

Sorry, but I use the Gear Sport with an iPhone and mainly for fitness and sports activities. The questions and functions to which you want to know something are not relevant to me, since they do not work together with an iPhone anyway :crying:

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I wasn't aware of those features didn't work with an iPhone, that's too bad.

I was able today to play few minutes with SM-R600 in german store... :cyclops:
I saw the black Version...
The size is really between Gear S3 and S2..
Gear S3 is really huge... for my tiny fat hands...
SM-R600 seems little bit bigger as Gear S2...
So imho they shrinked Gear S3 "Power" into Gear S2 housing...
Price if I remember correct... 350 Euro...
No idea how many Wearable Developers floating around...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24dy32CL0ok&feature=youtu.be
Check this Video at the end...
I can see "Developer Discount Program"... for SM-R600
Only as info... I was toooo lazy to see the whole Video...

I know technically the Gear 2 is not a Galaxy line of Samsung, but I bet T-Mobile meant Galaxy Gear, Gear 2, Neo, and Fit.

Yeah,that's OK dude,no harm.
T-MOBILE closed that gaping hole last go-around w/the GALAXY GEAR.
After being bashed on canceling discounted GALAXY GEAR orders, they relented & allowed for those that managed to get a confirmed order w/the discount to keep it,but, exempted all others afterwards.
Believe me,I tried as soon as they had the GEAR2 available on-line & I'd never seen their webpage respond so quickly,w/the "N/A" for the GEAR2............
So can someone change the thread title? Cause it doesnt include Gears.

I have to make a statement here. When Fleksy released there late and unfinished first version, I was there to make a harsh review. The new version now available is just everything I dreamt of, it looks nice, it's fast, handy, it really is the first very professional keyboard on gear 2.
Congratulations Fleksy, amazing job here... :highfive:
I concur, the only thing missing now is an option for voice reply on the keyboard.
Feedback
Thanks for the comments guys, we really appreciate them!
How could we make Fleksy even better on the Gear?

If you could get it to integrate with hangouts, that'd be the icing on the cake for me.
Definitely Need Hangouts integration. Love the idea, but I don't use SMS.

I agree fantastic keyboard when I was browsing the watch in the Samsung store and the Gear app store seeing this pretty much pushed me to buy it. It's what i've been waiting for!
I miss emoji, and support for other languages than english!

hi Kosta,
how about an option of using a "numpad" just like old school phones to create messages
thank you

I do truly love this app and I thank you guys, but WHY does it run so slow? It takes a few seconds to open and you need to go back and then return to it to get an updated feed of messages. The latest round of updates to it are indeed awesome, but too slow at the moment, sorry.:crying:
ive downloaded the app, and will sign and upload it tomorrow morning
Where did Fleksy go? I can't find it in the Gear store.

For some crazy reason, Samsung allows the developers to include which devices their apps will work on. Since the Note4 wasn't out yet, this becomes a problem. Also Samsungs store is so slow to get the updates and apps published it's extremely punishing to the users and developers.
The easiest way is via root where you'll need to edit the build.prop to look like a note 3 or S5. Otherwise maybe the dev's and Samsung can fix the Samsung app store. Sorry that this isn't an easy fix.

Hi,
I'm saying good bye to my trusty old S4 today & buying a brand new S6 (920F) out the box. Did some research on S6 last night & discovered that some models ship with a Sony camera sensor (superior) and some with Samsung camera sensor (inferior).
I read that those manufactured in Korea are more likely to have the Sony sensor as opposed to those made in Vietnam which are more likely to have the Samsung sensor. It should state on the box in which country it was made, right?
Can anyone confirm this or advise otherwise?
Impossible. Case closed.
And you're better off with the new HTC 10 or you could always wait for Nexus 2016.

I'm picking the S6 up for cheap on a contract. Nexus has very little features compared to <insert manufacturer> in general & doesn't get sold in my country. HTC has no support in my country and is terribly over priced too!
I'm happy with an "old" Samsung Galaxy S6 and (for all its shortcomings) I will mod it till it's perfect.
So you say it's impossible to determine beforehand which camera sensor I'll be getting just by looking at the box and seeing where it was manufactured? Life certainly is a box of chocolates!
But on the contrary, I always believe "impossible is none" - just ask Nike!

In case you have eye defects or missed it; there's a 'Thank You' button beneath most comments/posts in a thread on XDA for a reason.
Contact a moderator for clarification on its use/purpose.

Yes but he's not obliged to do it , it's optional. The guy was kind enough and thanked you no need to tell him to press the thanks button , just let it go.
And i know xda very well i don't need your clarifications , let's stop this Off-Topic now.
