didn't really see a thread....mod's if this needs to be moved, please do so.
I've noticed a quark in the way the Bt audio gateway works on my fuze.
Does NOT matter which headset I use, but, 99% of the time, if someone
calls me, I hear the phone ring, activate the BT, they can hear me, but I
cannot hear them. If I shut the headset off, turn it back on and let it
connect, I can hear them & they can hear me. This ONLY happens on incoming
phone calls. On outgoing, everything works.
When connected, if you look at the BT icon, it shows the BT icon, with what
looks like a STEREO headset. If you click on it, it says connected to a STEREO
headset, which my JB2 or any other BT is not.
Is it possible that the fuse is using the mic, but the sound is being directed to
a non existent "stereo" headset, which would be the other ear?
Happy Thanksgiving! Everyone have a nice Triptophan (sp) nap?
Do you have MSVC set to announce incoming calls? If you do and you answer via the headset, you can't hear the caller. Disable announce incoming and it'll work just fine.
It's a known bug and we need to complain about it (and the rest, like the left/right dpad) to AT&T and HTC.
MSVC set to handle BT, announce incoming.
When I hit the button on the headset, the incoming ring/announcement stops,
the phone says it is connected, and the caller can hear me, but I cannot hear them.
I was wondering if anyone using a NON stereo BT headset, when you are connected, it says if you click on the BT icon, "stereo headset".
Just in case you missed it - you can't have MSVC announce incoming calls OR IT WILL MUTE THE CALLER.
Turn the announce off and it'll be fine until MS/HTC/ATT fix their stinking problem...
oh and don't forget to complain...
Oh, I have complained....never had that problem with the tilt.
I guess I'll go back to just having unique ringtones for everyone, so I can tell
who's calling...until MS fixing the #%@#^ problem. Thanks for the
clarification. This was driving me nuts! They could hear me, but I couldn't
hear anyone.

Ok, I've never had a headset before, I'll admit it. Can anyone tell me what the heck I'm doing wrong? I turned headset on, paired it with the phone and the phone recognized it. I try to make a call or take a call and either A. Nothing happens and sound is in handset like normal, or B. I can't hear anything or talk on either.
I should add that when I hold the button on my headset to transfer calls from phone to headset, nothing happens.. also, the "turn on hands-free" option under the call menu isn't available.
Hi,
in general I am very happy with my Sensation XE (latest Stock ROM) - but I have one big issue with the bluetooth headset during phone calls.
The BT headset (Plantronics Discovery 975) is paired and incoming and outgoing calls start perfectly on the headset.
The issue is:
when a notification (e.g. calender alarm, sms arriving) goes off, the sound is routed to the phone speaker and NOT returning back to the BT headset. This is quite annoying when you are driving and all of a sudden the phone call is on your phone speaker and no longer on the BT headset.
I have found no settings where I can force that during a call the sound stays on the BT headset and that e.g. notifications are broadcasted to the headset as well.
Anybody having the same issue? What/how do I need to tweak the phone to have the BT headset properly working.
Many thanks for any help!!
Partial solution found ...
Hi - after the wave of replies to my post, I spend some time again to work out / find a solution.
The solution for me is the app "Toggle Settings Pro" (costs a few bugs on the market). It seems to be the only (? - at least I had tried out a couple) profile switcher program where you can create a rule based on "Incoming Calls" / "Outgoing Calls". During a call a profile is switched on that sets the phone to Silent Mode. Works perfect, but the app has a little bug that needed a workaround.
I had created a rule that switches on the Silent Mode on trigger "Incoming Call - Is Connected". I had expected that it would switch to Silent Mode only if you accept the call (=> is connected) but unfortunately it triggers the switch already during ringing. Basically the phone did not ring any more because the Silent mode was switched on too early.
So I created another rule that gets triggered when "Incoming call - is ringing" and on pick-up of the call the silent mode is kicking in.
Sounds a bit complicated, but this is the solution of the problem for me.
I want incoming call ringtones to sound over the speaker, even when the headset is plugged in.
I have two Galaxy Note 4 phones, both on Marshmallow. and similarly configured. One phone is OK, but the other switches the ringing to headset whenever it's plugged in. (the problem appeared only after upgrading to marshmallow. Lollipop directed to speaker, just like I wanted)
I installed Soundabout but routing incoming call ringtones to speaker (when headset is plugged in) did nothing.
However configuring all MEDIA to go through the speaker did the trick. Problem is, I only want the ringer to sound there, not all the music I listen to.
Any ideas?
Having a problem when making calls on bluetooth. The phone shows ringing on the other end but makes no ringing sound on my end. I can tell the other person has picked up but still no sound. The other person hangs up. I call back and then the call works fine. I have searched and not found anything besides clear bluetooth cache which doesn't show that option. Any suggestions as it has happened several times? Today is day 14 with the phone and hard to love it but hard to return it as well.
When I connect to my car's BT radio or my living room's BT speaker I am given the option to allow Phone, Media or both. I don't want to pick up calls via the speaker so I disable Phone. On my car I want to both be able to pick up calls and play music so I leave both options enabled.
Have you checked what options you have selected under BT settings?
