The Auto-Brightness is a great feature but in the dark or with low light, it just seems to be a little too bright. Its not too bright for my eyes, its more in regards to saving power.
Is there anyway to modify the settings for Auto-Brightness to help save more battery?
I also was wondering if it would be just better to manually change the brightness, since the Auto sensor is using power to operate?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
I don't think you can modify the Auto Brightness settings. You'll have to adjust the value manually.
I've realized that Auto Brightness doesn't work on my Desire Z so I've installed Brightness Profiles as a shortcut that lets me modify easily the brightness without having to go through Settings/Display etc.
Is it possible to lower the threshold for the auto brightness setting?
When in auto brightness mode, it's a big too dark for my taste,
especially when the room is moderately-lit.
Thanks!
I think this is governed for the kernel, so yes.

So i would like to use screen Auto brightness but it sets the screen too dark or some times keeps hunting for a level ...
Any place to adjust the sensitivity of the auto brightness itself?
Right now i just turn the auto brightness off and set the screen brightness level manually

Agreed, I do the same as you. I always found that these auto-brightness functions don't work worth a squat. I don't know who is in charge of designing the sensitivity settings for it but they really don't work that well. So I always leave it on manual brightness setting and set it to my liking.
Does anyone know of any possible way to adjust the brightness of AOD manually?
I know a lot of people are interested in either increasing or decreasing the brightness
Personally im looking to increase it or possibly set it to stay at a set brightness
