any belt clip/holsters available? - Essential Phone Accessories

Am looking for a belt clip or holster.
Have used seido for all my previous phones. No such case for this one?

I use this one from Walmart

The blackberry priv holster fits it perfectly FWIW!

Just a thought
Love my Essential phone but have always used a holster case. Nothing specific yet but PDAir Leather holster from Cases.com for Galaxy S7 is a precise fit and E-grips from Amazon cut into narrow strips for the sides of the phone give great grip.
Just a thought.

when I look for a belt clip/holster I want something that lasts. Any of the plastic clips either broke when sitting down in tight spaces or fell apart (I had three of them). I eventually went with TurtleBack holsters. You pay premium, but it's worth every penny. I've been using a 6.25" for a larger phone now for over a year and it still looks great (Nylon).
based on the PH-1's dimensions:
Height: 141.5mm = 5.57 inches
Width: 71.1mm = 2.8 inches
the 5.5" X 3" here should work.
If you will use a case then the next size up (5.87" X 3.25") should work great.

I just ordered the larger of the two. The holster I have now is too roomy and the phone moves too much. I'll update this with pictures once I get it.

HA! I got the exact same one today! Size Large (the extra large seemed a little too big)
For $9.98 it works fine, I bought another one on EBay but it was too tight - every time I put it in the holster the elastic sides would press against the power button, causing the phone to either turn and stay on, or go into bootloader mode! No good, so had to return it; this one from Walmart was cheaper and works better.
Now I want to add the Olixar Ultra-Thin Phone Case bumper guard when it comes out - hopefully the phone will still fit into this holster case.

I reached out to MobileFun.com a few weeks ago about that Olixar case and they absolutely have no ETA on that. My guess, never. I am using Incipio NGP Pure clear case and it works just fine with that holster.

I just ordered this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/PREMIUM-Le...var=541282532750&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Looks like a good holster.

here is an update on the premium turtleback holster with pictures. Perfect fit with Incipio case.
It's of the quality of a gun holster, almost unbreakable.

Is it easy to put it in and out? Or, is it tight?

Yes, it's pretty much perfect for me

Anybody got the Olycism Essential PH-1 Phone Case cover (search for 'Olycism Essential PH-1 Phone Case cover' @ Amazon)? I like what I am seeing because I like having a recessed opening (rather than covers) for the side buttons.
Just wondering if anyone had one and what they thought of it.

I also like Seidio. I sent them an email and got a VERY fast response. They do not intent to make a case for the Essential Phone at this time.

Just stumbled upon a Seidio-style clam case & holster. I got hooked on these years ago, when Verizon sold them for each of their smartphones for $29. The rigid clam cases have protected my phones so well I've almost always been able to resell them as ""mint" condition, top dollar. The matching belt holster protects the glass while still allowing me to remove & use the phones one-handed. I'd given up on getting a clam case/holster for my Essential, though, rationalizing that the production numbers were too small. Then I stumbled across the picture (attached). Ordered mine today from Amazon. It's on eBay, too, but eBay's system wasn't working, failed (repeatedly) at the credit card info screen. The previous clam case/holster combos I've bought were all of a fine, tough plastic with a film of rubber texture overlaid & a velvety material on the inside of the holster that protected the phones' screens. This set appears to be the same but I haven't used it or even received it so I don't yet know if this product will be of the same rugged quality.

Just received mine from eBay.
The case itself provides good protection for the back of the phone and the sides, but does not protect the top and bottom of the phone where the ceramic meets the display glass. With the phone in the holster, all edges are protected.
The kickstand is actually pretty useful.
Unlike Sedio, the phone does not "click" in and out of the holster. Rather, you have to slide it in and out, which takes a bit more focus.
The best surprise is the tempered glass protector. It covers the entire display including the camera. It has a black border that matches the display perfectly. It also has clear areas for the sensors around the front camera. It only has adhesive along the border but the glass matches the case perfectly, so the edges don't lift up. No Halo or rainbow effect. Only negative is the fingerprints are more visible.
All in all, I'm going to use this combo, as I need a belt holster for my line of work.

I was wondering if the Sedio spring clip holster for the iPhone X would fit? The PH-1 is just a little shorter but otherwise the same size.

Just wondering if we have better solutions after all this time. What are people using?

This is what I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017HVSF2O/. It fits good and holds well. The height and width are perfect but the depth of the PH-1 is less than the iPhone 6/6S with Otterbox case that the holster is designed for. This makes the lower clips protrude and catch on things every now and again.

Thanks for sharing. I wonder if it would fit perfectly if we put PH-1 in a thicker case like these? They are both triple-layer cases, so I'm guessing they an add a good thickness.

Looking for a Case + Holster Combo that works/fits

I'm looking for case for my Epic and also a holster that will hold the phone with the case attached. I tried to do this with my HTC Arrive but the case made the phone so bulky that I could barely squeeze it into my belt holster and then the magnetic cover would hardly close.
Is there any case + holster combo that I can purchase or at least a holster with enough room to hold the Epic with a case attached?
I really liike the Seidio Active X case but I'm afraid it will make the phone too thick for most if not all holsters other than the Seidio snap on holster.
I was also looking at these two Amazon items but don't know if they really would go well together:
I can't post links but these two are from Amazon.
Premium-Crystal-Rubberized-Snap-Samsung
Horizontal-Leather-Samsung-Magnetic-Closing
Any suggestions?
Seidio has a combo that comes with a holster and case.
platinum case and clip
Best Buy has a case made by platinum. great case and holster as well. case does good job of protecting the phone.
Thank you for the responses. I saw both and for the holster, is there one that is not a phone clip-on holster, rather more like the leather holsters where the phone resides inside and there is a magnetic lock to hold the opening closed?
I might just go for the Seidio Active X case/holster combo if I can't find another option.
Try this maybe?

Thanks. Looks like I was a little late to the party. Went to purchase the case this morning and it was officially sold out.
i use the Seidio case/holster combo. i have the.. i think its called "active" one now (belt clip with a plastic and rubberized case on the phone. holds phone face in against your body). I previously used the "surface case" and holster combo. Both GREAT items (i still have the surface case, but due to something that was totally my fault the holster broke. not a reflection of the product quality. i love it).
my phone has the Seidio screen protector and Seidio "Active" case/holster. its been dropped SO many times. banged around daily. screen and softkeys are still scratch free. screen protector barely scratched (thats how durable it is. even in a pocket with keys or coins its still perfectly clear). phone still working great. LOVE the case. its a little expensive but well worth the investment to protect your superphone.

I think I'll purchase the Active X case and holster combo. Hopefully the phone will stay in the holster while at the gym. I saw a great review of the product in this forum and even though the price is a lot higher than I would like to pay, it seems like it is worth it.

Stylish Desire Cases

Right now I have a Otterbox Commuter Series for my Desire its a good slim case for protection but sometimes I wanna switch yo something a little more stylish. Does anyone have any suggestions? If so leave a link to where I can find the case.
HTC Desire
This is what i use in conjunction with a martin fields screen protector.
http://www.gelaskins.com/store/skins/phones/HTC_Desire/Hulk_SMASH
Works brilliantly and stops the phone from being a black brick
I use a case that simply covers the back, edges and corners. It's hard to describe and I can't post an outside link to show, but it basically hugs the edges and corners of the phone, so that it only covers the sides and back.
Mine's crystal clear (I have a decal on my battery cover that I like to be able to see), and these protect the edges and corners without being too bulky. My clear one also provides protection for the decal.
Go custom - get a Casemate slim case and add some stickers / decals to it. I got a few Android stickers from ebay and added them to a Casemate.

Totally agree. This case saved my desire 3 times already (hopefully it didnt fall on the screen side, thanks to the weight difference of the upper part of the phone ).
I've had my desire for over a year now. When I first bought it, I searched ebay for a gel case and some screen protectors. The Gel case only covers the sides and back. The protectors were stuck on and did their job until they were too scratched. Then they inhibit the touch screen function - I noticed this when the screen protectors were so badly scratched it was becomming difficult to see the screen. Since I'm too cheap to buy another £2 batch lot of protectors I've left it off for about 3 months now. There is not a single scratch on the screen.
Also the gel case has provided a very good protection for the rest of the phone. The gel case was shipped from Hong Kong and cost around £5 including shipping. A colleague even found one cheaper. I don't know how they make stuff so cheap over there but the phone is as good as the day it came out of the box.
Just ordered a custom skin from Skinit. It won't offer the amount of protection as my Otterbox but it will stop it from scratching up and add some customization to my device.

I had a flip leather case but it was a bit inconvenient having to open the cover all the time even though it protected the screen so I got different one similar to the ones people use a lot on iPhones, it covers the back and sides but leaves the screen free. I got them on eBay cos it's cheap and there are LOADS to choose from!
i got the PDair leather case, 18.99 on ebay, works great.
I use the htc mobile case:

I second this. Nokia issued pouches with E66 too. Especially since I don't consider price of this plus shipping costs dirt cheap either.
i used a black back cover meshed bought on netimes.com. On this site I bought also an android neoprene pouch
I have been use the Casemate barely there - which is a great case. But it doesnt protect the top of the phone along where the power button is.
I tend to stick my phone in my pocket and I think my keys over time have scraped the top a bit, with tiny nicks out of phone.
But it has saved my phone a couple of times when I dropped it!
I'm also using Casemate Barely There, real happy with it. A friend of mine has the Casemate Tough Case, it's a bit thicker but does offer a bit more protection.

I bought one from them and am very satisfied with the quality and the look.

I bought a Jaka Melko too... so SOPHISTICATED (all hand made)! And very protective. I drop from waist height last week, no scratch at all, phone and leather.
Plus, I have a hard gel case, and the Melkco is exactly the same size, no bulk.
Maybe a little bit expensive (28~30 USD free shipping), but worth all pennies, and it really smells leather when opening box.

Case Review: Incipio Feather Case

Hey guys,
Just bought the Incipio Feather case and wanted to share my thoughts in case some people were thinking about buying.
The case is definitely very light weight and pretty thin (Incipio states that it is less than 1 mm thin). It's an "ultra light, ultra strong polymer" hard case that is smooth to the touch while having a slightly rubbery feel to it. The case itself has very clean edges with no trace of any manufacturing defects. There are cutouts for the power and volume buttons, hdmi port (it's covered in the pictures on their site, but there is indeed a cutout for this), usb port, camera, microphone, headphone jack, and speakerphone. With the exception of the battery, everything is easily accessible through these cutouts.
As for protection, this is where I've been disappointed. First off, the side of the case does not rise above the side of the phone, so when you put the phone face down, the screen will be touching the surface (they provide a screen protector, but I don't think that's enough). Secondly, the case does not completely wrap around the phone, so both the top and, more importantly, the bottom of the phone are exposed. The bottom is important because on a straight drop, the pointed part of the phone will take all of the impact because it protrudes beyond the corner parts of the case. The top isn't as bad because it's flatter, so the corner portions of the case will ideally take the impact. Granted, you aren't purchasing a "feather" or "barely there" case for its protective qualities, but I think that had Incipio manufactured the case to fully wrap around the phone, both the protection and aesthetics of the case would have been enhanced.
In regards to the aesthetics, I purchased the case to avoid the bulkiness of other cases so that I could enjoy the look of the phone. However, the cutouts and the fact that the case doesn't fully wrap around the phone cause the Feather case to "break" the smooth lines of the phone. I would definitely prefer the look of a case that fully wraps around the phone.
Overall, I would not purchase this case again. At $25, even with the screen protector and microfiber cloth, I think that a case like the Androidified case that I previously reviewed provides better value with more protection. With the TPU case, my phone experienced no damage after I accidentally dropped the phone while getting out of a car. I can't say that the Feather case would provide the same sort of protection.
Thanks for the review, this was my favorite case when I had my Atrix. I noticed it on the site the day it went up but did not buy it because an employee confirmed over live chat that there was no hdmi cutout. Now that I know it is there I am placing an order now. I just bought the otterbox and I like it but its just too much for me.
This is almost the same exact case as this:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?action=accessoryDetails&accessoryId=47557
But yours is probably a tiny bit thinner. And this one has a pull out stand which is awesome. They tried to sell this hardcore when i bought the phone, and I got it then.

The Incipio also doesn't have those rubber ridges. I had one of these cases on my Thunderbolt and I hated it because I keep my phone in my pocket. Went with a Case-Mate Barely There case which seems to be similar to the Incipio.
It reminds me of an ultra light 1 piece Seidio innocase. It has a similar feel but its lighter and thinner.
After using this case for a few days I have to agree. This case is not worth it at all. The feather used to be my choice but incipio did not do well with this one.
I'm really hoping case-mate jumps on it and makes a barely there case for the Charge.

Yeah same here. I went back to my Otterbox case but I just ordered the Trident Aegis today. I would rather have a thin light case but this feather is just plain terrible.
Why you going with Trident Aegis..instead of just using the Otterbox?
Just curious on your thoughts on the Otterbox..did you get the Trident? How is it?
The Otterbox is a good case but I am not too sold on having the buttons on the bottom covered. The Trident case shipped today and I will post pics and a review of the Aegis when it comes.

[Q] Belt Case/Holsters - What's "in" this season? What U Playrs Be Rockin'?

Erm ... not really.
Can anyone give some advice about a belt case/holster?
I'm thinking on the lines of this type http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OHFTPXM/ a horizontal case.
But, this don't usually last that long.
So, I was thinking about http://www.amazon.co.uk/Urvoix-Case-Cover-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00S6DQ37W/ a vertical canvas style.
But, I'm unsure using it with a belt and in vertical orientation would it just get in the way, sitting down, driving etc?
I'll probably be buying a case for the phone too.
Any advice please.
Thank you
I used to use belt holsters and cases but problem is this phone is so big the cases look like fanny packs Lol.
With that out of the way, I think the horizontal holders are better for when you sit down.
I'm using a Seidio CAPSA exoskeleton holster in horizontal orientation, with a UAG case. They fit perfectly together. If you search the forums someone on here has posted photos of this combination. If you rotate it to vertical it does get in the way a little when sitting down, so I use it horizontal.

Thank you both very much
I use an Otterbox Defender w/holster & don't have any issues sitting down w/ the phone in the landscape/horizon mode. I do take the phone off my belt in the car to use my Craig's Docks car dock/mount. I think your physique has a lot to do with the comfort of the phone when seated. I also have a horizontal nylon belt pouch I got from Amazon that fits the phone with the Defender case but I've never used it because I've had no problems with the Defender's holster. The nylon pouch would be very useful if you're in a warm climate & it's raining & you're outside a lot.
One thing I really like about the Defender holster is it allows the phone to be placed in the screen out position so I can see/use the screen when it's clipped on my belt (it's of course less protection than screen in but for me the functionality outweighs that). I do agree that the size of the N4 looks like you've got a tablet on your belt, it does look ridiculous but it is what it is.
The Defender is a high quality precision made case IMO and if you buy one online make sure you buy it either directly from Otterbox or directly from Amazon (not a third party reseller) as counterfeiting is rampant with them. Also you have to remove the included plastic screen protector & use something else for clarity & to prevent the constant dirt that accumulates through the opening for the home key w/ the installed screen protector.
I haven't used the exact same one that you listed, but I used a very similar design holster for my gs1 and that fake pleather material wore out pretty quick by the belt area. I can't believe I paid $15 for that. If you want to go vertical, I personally recommend it on the side. Would interfere if worn near the front. Out of those 2, I would say the nylon holster would last longer because of the 1000d cordura nylon, but I can't speak for the overall quality. The stitching might be shoddy and stuff could fall apart easily.
I used the supcase beetle case with holster, but the case and holster broke. The case could not take a huge impact. I wore the holster on my side horizontally and broke the belt clip getting out of the car. I am currently using a cheap otterbox defender type case with holster.

Awesomes x2 Thank you
I think we can close this one now, if needed :good:

iv been using the seido surface for about 6-7 months now and its still working great, spring on the holster still seems as strong as brand new, and its pretty slim compared to the other case+holster combos. it provides plenty of protection, iv dropped my phone at least 10 times since november, each time onto hard surface floors from about waist high (im 5 foot 11), and each time i remove the case to see what damage i caused and surprised to see that my phone itself still it perfect cosmetic condition. no scratches or scuffs anywhere on the edges or corners. phone sits pretty snug into the clip, it has NEVER came off on its own. if something were to go wrong with this case ill definitely buy another one.
Read my thread about Seidio & buying form their online store.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/accessories/dont-want-to-buy-seidios-webstore-t3036913
I have to initiate a chargeback w/ the bank that issued the credit card I used to get a refund. Seidio refunded zero.
Seido's online store is a joke if you have a problem w/ one of their products. By far the worst experience I've ever had purchasing online.
The Surface is a decent case but completely overpriced. Only reason I got one was to turn into the Surface w/ holster which was complete garbage, both the case & the holster. Everytime I moved the phone fell off the beltclip, is was unusable. And yes, I did have the case locked to the beltclip.
For the price Seidio charges for the Surface it should have rocker switch covers at a bare minimum. You can spend a fraction of the cost of a Surface & get a far nicer case.
Best Buy sells the Surface as their Platinum series at half the price Seidio charges.
IMO Seidio = garbage.
Maxpedition
Ever since I starting using tactical pouches with my iPhone 5s, I have continued to do so with my Note 4. I use Maxpedition pouches, as they are made of 1050d ballistic nylon. They are quite excellent.|
When I'm at work, during my food vendering stuff, I use their TC-3 pouch. However, I rock their leg pouch for any other events. Since I run around with no case on my phone except for the leg pouch and the small pouch that my phone and cards slip in, I am quite pleased with the setup. Excellent durability and I can carry my expensive IEMs, wallet, phone, and a couple extras with no problem.
Thank you all for the additional post and information
After a lot of head scratching I ordered the vertical case (2nd link in my OP).
I'll use it as a starting point and try other cases once I get my Note 4 through the post.

Review: MoKo [Heavy Duty] case for Nexus 6P Huawei

Hi guys,
I finally got around to doing a review on the Moko Heavy Duty Case for my 6P. I ordered this on amazon.ca. I've rocked this case for about a week now since I did that video, and I am pleasantly surprised.
The cutouts are precise, and the case does not look or feel cheap. The fingerprint scanner is easy to use still as well. The plastic is pretty soft, and I don't think it would stay on on its own without the black shell, but it does fit perfectly. Also, didn't notice much pocket lint or anything else sticking to it like some have reported. Overall it's a great option for a more rugged case for the Nexus 6P, especially here in Canada, where the options can be sparse. Here's the link from amazon.
Nexus 6P Case - MoKo [Heavy Duty] Full Body Rugged Holster Cover with Swivel Belt Clip - Dual Layer Shock Resistant for Huawei Google Nexus 6P 5.7 Inch Smartphone 2015, PURPLE https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00JP6J1A0/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_HnYMwbXKYG11S
11 bucks plus tax, and since I have PRIME, also got free 2 day shipping. Yes, I have a compulsive online shopping problem...
I will also post reviews for my Spigen Rugged Armour and a Poetic Revolution cases shortly.

I've got one in blue but I don't use it anymore. It's a pretty nice case and the quality is fantastic I just wish they would stop putting those huge bumps on the back for no reason. They serve absolutely no purpose and double the thickness of the phone. They do this on these cases for all phones and just still makes no sense.

You might be interested in this CoverON case, which has no such huge bumps on the back. It has an unusual 3-piece design, with a hard plastic piece that snaps on from the front of the phone (in addition to the usual one from the back), locking the soft TPU in place in the middle. I'm quite happy with the build quality, and because of the design it seems like possibly the toughest case you can get that (a) still looks even remotely normal and (b) doesn't have an integrated plastic screen protector, making it easy to add a tempered-glass one of your own. (Note, though—I have an IntelliArmor "case-friendly" TGSP, and it fits perfectly but with absolutely no room to spare. Full-coverage TGSPs will definitely interfere with the TPU at the edges of the screen, although because of the way the case fits together you might be able to get them to nestle nicely under it without lifting up.)

Nice to see somebody on this site review that case. Which color did you get? Do you have any holsters to see if this will fit?

I have the black version. Based on the pictures on Amazon the colors looked like they'd be pretty in-your-face, especially since the highlight color is visible directly around the edges of the screen. I'm afraid I don't have any holsters—I've never used one.
I realize, I forgot to mention the most important thing! The headphone and USB-C cutouts on this case, as shipped, are not large enough for most cables. The stock USB-C cable fits but scuffs the sides, many high-quality third-party cables won't, and the only headphone plugs that will fit are the super-tiny ones that some headphones have for exactly this reason. But! If you have a decent utility knife, some courage, and a steady hand, it's possible to enlarge the cutouts without messing up the case. (I cut away a tiny bit of the TPU near the jacks as well, since it was being deformed when plugging in a cable.) With this done it works beautifully—the case is even thin enough to use a Square credit-card reader in the headphone jack.
