Hi,
I just figured out my PX5 has no suitable Low Voltage shutoff.
It starts shutting down at around 9 Volt, way to low, killing the battery.
Between 9 and 8 Volts it then shuts down and reboots in a loop, looks like no hysteresis at all implemented.

Hello. My Nexus 5 has been getting really hot while watching movies. I am using a SlimPort to display video to my TV. I am also charging my phone through the Slimport as well. In the past, my phone would get warm, but never so hot that my phone powers down. I have been using the same SlimKat Rom, so nothing has changed as far as that. Would changing any of the CPU settings help in any way? Thanks.

first off, by hot you mean what temp? CPU and/or battery temp.
now, while you are watching movies, its normal for it to warm up quite a bit. if you add to that being plugged in charging, it can get down right hot. but there are 2 safeties features in place so that you dont worry. first is the thermal throttle, which will reduce your CPU speed to cool down your device. if that doesn't stop the warming up, you have the battery temp safety shutdown and the CPU temp safety shutdown. battery temp shutdown is when your battery reaches 60C, and CPU temp shutdown is when your CPU reaches 105C. but really, just realize that when you are charging, and using your phone, it can get really hot, and that's normal.
It may just be warmer weather which has your phone running warmer then before. Does SlimKat alter thermal throttling limits?
RE: CPU Monitor
Hi
I have been using CPU Monitor, I'm light on widgets (around 6), I alwways make sure the background apps are closed. I have turned off my phone for 10 minutes, and turned it back on after 30 minutes. My phone feels kinda warm/hot. The CPU monitor shows that I'm on 33 C. Is this normal to be this warm? Thank you.

Low to mid 30s celsius is where my phone idles at. I usually can't feel any warmth until the phone gets into the 50s. Playing games gets it up the 60s and sometimes peaks into 70s. That when it gets uncomfortably hot to touch at the top by the camera.
A lot of apps that report on temp tend to report battery temp and not cpu temp. Battery temp tends to stay at 30-40s and that is fine.

my note pro 12.2 temperature gets quite high 40C when using it even if the conditions are relatively cold outside is this normal?
my samsung s3 would heat up too that's why i never closed the cover properly to let the hot air escape.. this made a big difference as it wouldn't go up past 32C even in warmish indoor environments (also i used power saving and lowest brightness). i apply the same principles to the tablet, power saving, lowest brightness or auto brightness yet the top part by the camera at the back i can feel heating up and is quite warm.. is this normal? do you other guys have high temps?
i read a review saying it doesn't really go above 35.6C which is BS as mine goes to 40C. i know because the cover is not open the hot air cant escape so the CPU is running up or the battery is heating up or maybe both. i use OS monitor to monitor my battery temp and voltage.
do i have a defective unit possibly? this might also explain why it reboots randomly however i know for certain when it rebooted the temperature was low as i was using it in like 4C conditions so the temp was under 30C max however now the temperature outside has risen i think that's playing a part. im getting sick of all these samsung issues. their quality control needs to be better or at least create so air vents so the battery can breathe. temperature kills lithium ion and i dont think you can change this battery easily

What you're reading is battery temp, not cpu temp. 45c and below is perfectly fine. As for cpu temp, gaming can bump that up to 80-85c. Thermal shutdown occurs at 105c (SM-P900)
Hi, i have my honor 6 for a few days now and i really like it, but it is heating up very fast. After recording a video for 4 minutes battery temperature goes up to 37°C and cpu temperature rises up to 60°C and it gets really hot. Even when only browsing it gets hot as ****, battery 36°C and one of the cpu sensors shows even 58°C only while normal browsing in chrome with two tabs, no other tabs open and it doesnt even have 20 degrees in my room. So how are your cpu and battery temperatures of your honor 6? And do your honors also heat up? And what are normal temperatures for this device for cpu and temperature? I have the european variant and updated to emotion ui 3.0 if this matters. And phone was in airlplane mode while testing this. Ive read that the heating goes away after a few charging cycles, can anyone confirm this? My old g2 never got comparably hot to the honor 6 even when playing games. So do you have similar temperatures on your honors and it is normal that the honor 6 heats up quite more than other phones?
Hi,
I've a stock Nexus 5 on 6.0.1 (M4B30X) that, according to GSam Battery Monitor, has consistently high CPU usage (20-40%) and CPU even when idling overnight. Is this normal? I was expecting it to be close to 0% when idling. How do I figure out what's causing the CPU utilization?
