Led notification issue on pixel
I am facing the led notification issue on my pixel after updated to Oreo. Could you guys please help me out? Is there any solution for this?
My fix was just rebooting a phone ?
I got my notification LED working by disabling ambient display. However I still need an app to get it to work. Hope that this helps.

Hi all!
Im currently using Lollipop 5.0 and I have some questions regarding the notification light...
Has anyone been able to light up the notification light while charging?
Also, when i receive whatsapps or an email, the light will only blink once and then turn off permanently.... am I the only one with these problems or did it change with 5.0?
Thanks for the answers and sorry for my bad English.
PD: I posted here and not in Question category since Im also concerned on the notification behavior and not only fixing whatsapp

Btw only Roms I've noticed that has it working is unofficial cm12 and liquid lollipop
My notification light doesn't come on at all for any notifications and it's definitely set to 'Pulse notification light' under the sound and notification menu.
This should help solve your problem. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koo.lightmanager
Ledblinker is better in my opinion and the dev has an N5 on 5.0

Download the factory image of Lollipop 5.01 and then Perform hard factory reset.
This particular bug has been fixed in 5.01 and I hope that works.
If you are not aware how to perform the factory image then visit the link below..

Dude why do you keep responding to threads from November last year? Need to bump your post count or something? It's most annoying

With whatsapp and email my notification light has been working normally.
Hey Everyone,
I have installed factory image of 5.0 on my Nexus & since then I am facing the issue. My screen doesn't go off during calls & light sensor is also not working; Auto Brightness is also not working. I tried pulling back to 4.4 through which I made sure my hardware is working fine. It wasn't working in 5.0 Lollipop.
Has anybody else faced the same issue & does anyone know how to fix it?
Have attached the screenshot from CPU-Z.

Any fix?
So one day the icon for airview sensor came up and never disappeared, it's destroying my battery and is annoying and I don't know how to turn it off. It also interferes with my gestures app (gmd gestures) and I really need those
Anyone know what the problem might be or how can I fix it / disable the hardware?

Hello, thank you for using XDA Assist.

That's a friendly help thread specifically for your S4.
You'll find expert advice there.
Good luck!
I have a rooted Indian version of OnePlus 8T.
Everytime I try to change my device props to Pixel props via directly flashing the pixel props file or using "Magisk Hide Props" module - the display brightness breaks.
While the lock screen is still okay and the brightness behaves normally but as soon as you unlock the phone it goes too dim. Sliding the brightness panel doesn't do anything and neither does disabling adaptive brightness. I've stumbled across months old posts about someone having the same issue with Oneplus 8 Pro but didn't find any solution there either.
Please, anyone let me know if you can somehow get around those problems?
Thank you!
Hi,
Did you find any solution. It seems that it breaks the highest available brightness on the device . I am not sure how to enable that
Hey,
Does anyone got a chance to have a fix for this? I have the same issue with a oneplus 8, and i can't find any solution yet..
Removing the "system.props" from the module breaks the feature of the module

I actually do have a *partial* solution to this. If you were changing the fingerprint to enable call screening or call recording in Google Phone, then the solution is to use Google Dialer Mod instead. It's a root app that has toggles which literally allow you to turn on Call Screening, Call Recording, and pretty much any other Google Phone feature you'd want to enable. No fingerprinting necessary. If you were trying to get other pixel mods, unfortunatley I have no answer to that.
Hello everyone,
anyone experienced the main screen dimming to a very low brightness level " in the sun " and no difference happens if i switched off adaptive brightness and got it to the max. I am not sure if that is related to the phone heating, but in general sometimes it dims very quick without even having the phone that heated.
OR maybe the phone gets heated very fast with simple use in the sun light.. any experiences related to that issue ??
Thank you great people.
Can't confirm your observation ... . But there is an option to dimm the screen in the settings of the energy or battery saving mode.
m.
It's a false positive from the light sensor. Some phones add a special setting to increase the brightness when it's overly bright to offset it, but I haven't come across one for this phone. It's a little impressive that so few phones actually address it after it's been a known issue so long.
I thought this issue was fixed already... what sw version are you on? share the device' model number as well please.
Additionally, submit error report to Samsung Members after reproducing the issue, you should be able to get guidance on how to get the fix...

no that is not the case, it happens even when not enabling the power saving mode.

so do you mean there is a solution or it is just a bug with the sensor ?

If you don't have Samsung Members app installed then go to Galaxy or Play store and download it. In the app, click the Blue circle with+ icon. Then select Error Report.
Provide as much detail about the issue as you can and if possible include any screenshots or screen recording (make sure it's 1 issue per ticket).
Sorry for the late Reply... hope this helps and any future issues, submit a ticket as your first step so Samsung can start working on the issue while you look for work arounds or fixes
It might be a bug related to overheating. Had that happen to mine. The phone becomes too hot and dims the screen, turns off multi-window.
