Google Pixel no network service and wifi not working. - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

I having this issue right now. Now using android Oreo. Any of you face this issue before? and how to fix it? Please help me

Not spontaneously - did you flash or install something new just before it happened? If not it may be a hardware issue...
if you did, undo it if you can.

You obviously don't have the same problem as Jentech because Jentech solved the problem especially if a hard reset did not solve the problem.
You will have to give more information (recently flashed a new ROM) - I am guessing that if you did recently flash a new ROM than that is your problem - Try reflashing it or try a different one (seeing as a hard reset did not solve the problem it is not a conflict of apps installed.) if you are on stock ROM still and the hard reset did not solve the problem - take it in for warranty repair or replacement (if you have warranty) Other than that I can't tell you.
You will have to give much more information if you want someone to be able to help you anyways.

[Q] About this newly introduced wifi problem

Hello guys,
my brand new nexus 5 just came back from replacement and worked flawlessly for a week or two,
The thing it that after the update, i had this strange "Stuck at turning wifi on bug".
I tried everything i saw on all the forums i managed to find and google usually tell users to replace their devices.
The thing is i just flashed the radio-hammerhead-M8974A-1.0.25.0.17 Radio, and at reboot i was able to turn wifi on.
The main problem now is, that the device freeze 15 second after succefully showing me nearby wifi networks, and then proceed to reboot.
I think many users are in the same situation, has someone managed, somehow, to patch the error ? I can't even tell if this is a software or hardware related glitch, but more and more users are experiencing troubles and i think google should talk more about it.
The majority of users don't have this problem. I don't. What else have you done to the device? What have you flashed?

no such issues here.
I've seen this issue on various phones and it's always been either:
1) Dodgy /data (user data, apps etc)
2) Hardware problem.
I have not had this issue on the N5

Of course i did not mean that all users where on the same case,
what i said, is that i already found many thread of people experiencing the same "undefined behaviour", which mean this is not a random bug, and that it can definitly happen to anybody's device.
My phone was using the last stock rom, the bootloader was locked and it never was altered in any ways when the problem started to appear.
Then, i did a hardreset, i unlocked the bootloader, i flashed custom roms (PA, MIUI, CYANNOGEN), then i flashed an older rom's radio image and the wifi started to activate again, but to reboot 15 sec after.
then i went back to a PA rom, and exactly the same bug occur.

Flash a full factory image back to latest stock. If it still happens, send it for repair

Already done, guess i have no choice.
Then i would like to tell all the peoples who are experiencing the same experience to replace their phone using google's warranty service.
Some peoples managed to fix the bug for a time with a lucky trick, but it always end to come back.

If it comes back while on stock rom then it's a problem with the device and you should rma it. That's what warranty is for

Wifi signal turns orange

I have searched and searched and found several different threads and posts on this on various forums but nothing conclusive. I wanted to use this thread to list out everything that I have found so far and hope it helps people.
Sympton - Wifi signal turns Orange from White. Even though Wifi is connected, there is no data transfer.
Cause - I have read that the orange is due to Google services being disconnected (not sure why it should affect everything else like Whatsapp, etc.)
Workaround - Turn off Wifi and turn it back on. OR Turn on airplane mode and turn it off again. OR reboot.
Solution - I read in a couple of places that the resolution to this was being merged in 38R but I have updated and it is still there for me.
Would appreciate if you can provide links here if there is more to add and will help people with this problem, thanks in advance.
It could also be a flaky internet connection to your Wi-Fi AP.
Good luck. I have the same issue before and after 38r and no one has a real explanation or solution.

I have 5 other devices connected to the same AP and there is no problem, this is a known issue and nothing to do with the AP.

You are right, I do not have a solution too but hoping someone can help. The issue is still there with 38R and all I can do is switch on and off the Wifi every now and then which is a deal-breaker of sorts.
I just read somewhere that if you install Franco kernel, this issue gets fixed, can someone please confirm if they have tried it?

I tried the Franco Kernel with no success. Maybe you would experience something else.
can confirm franco R26 did not fix issue. Have yet to try R27.
I have the same problem it's really annoying...I am wondering why I bought this device now

Were you able to try the R27 and did it help?
I see this on the r28 franco kernel, doesn't seem to cause me any issues though, to be honest I was under the impression when it was orange it simply meant it was transferring data
R28 doesnt help with this issue either.
Does anyone have a better fix?
I have the same problem on 38R. It seems to keep disconnecting from different WiFi connections so I know it's not just my home wifi

Just sharing my results, I had the same issue and I got my ISP to swap out the Modem/Router combo and everything has been working great since.
Someone reported on CyanogenMod JIRA that the new OTA 44S fixed this issue for them, so there may be some hope for people

I posted that the new OTA has fixed this issue for me on JIRA.
So far so good!
You can either wait for the OTA or flash it manually through a custom recovery (TWRP etc..)
For those wondering:
I have updated to 44S OTA :
http://builds.cyngn.com/fota/incremental/bacon/cm-bacon-ac1ccf7921-to-5fa8c79c0b-signed.zip
Looks like this has FINALLY fixed my orange standby wifi issue!
So give the new 44S update a try and see if it works for you.
You will lose root when flashing the zip so just reflash SuperSU in the recovery right after flashing the OTA zip.
44S has the same issue
44S has the same issue, but I noticed my Bell router's behaviour and found that the reason my opo is not responding is because following power saving flag is set to 1, after I set it to 0 and rebooted, problem solved, no orange icon or wifi disconnect even after overnight deep sleep -
File - /system/etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
gEnableBmps=0
After reboot make sure this change is picked up in /data/misc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
Please hit thanks if you find this helpful
How should I do It?

Need help. I have troubles with light sensor and proximity sensor after update to lollipop. After updating in fastboot mode (without any errors) these sensors don't work until I restart my nexus. After restarting sensors are working just a few minutes (5-10) and all repeats...
I tryed to downgrde android to 4.4.2, 4.4.3, 4.4.4 - in all of them sensors are working.

same here !!!
if i restart the phone its work for few mintues
Weird because I don't have this issue. However I had to perform a factory data reset through stock recovery because my internal storage was reading 16gb not 32gb. I mention this because maybe that'll help u. Plus I'm completely stock so far.
Have the same issue. Its so annoying. My brother and i did the updates on 2 phones. Mine has the issue, his is working fine. Any solution
I'm having the same issue, I pushed the OTA update via ADB first and has this issue. Then i tried A factory reset and still had it. Then I tried flashing the factory image using fastboot and I'm still having this problem. Everything else seems to be working great.
Do you guys think its an app related issue?
I don't think so, i booted into safe mode and still had this problem, unless the issue is being caused by a native app.
Yeh tried that too. Same thing. How come my brothers phone is fine tho
I don't know man, hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will be able to help us out, glad I'm not alone though lol.
I fixed mine! I just needed to re-install my factory image manually. Follow the directions in this thread and use method 2.

I thought I do that on my phone too with no success. I used the nexus toolkit tho. Does it make a difference
*EDIT*
Never mind, it's still broke, I let the phone sit for about an hour and when I came back the sensor wasn't responding again.. I give up.

what if it is an application that is causing this?
No sorry, it took about an hour but the problem came back. I didn't have any apps downloaded yet and it still happened. I would try though, can't really hurt anything. Maybe it will work for you. I'm just tired of rebuilding my whole phone every time, I'm going to ride it out maybe someone will figure something out.
Can you guys try disabling google play services. I have it disabled for 30 min now and looks like its kk
Is yours still working? I just tried this and besides making the phone generally unusable it did nothing, sensors still didn't work. I think I may flash back to 4.4.4, I'm really tired of all this tinkering just to get things working correctly.
Nope. Didn't work. Is your phone a replacement phone by any chance? I called google they acknowledged a firmware bug. They will get back to me soon
No, mine is a launch device. Did they tell you any specifics?
Sensors work fine for me.
