Hi Folks,
Saw many users struggling to restore their phone after messing up with their phone either during flashing any custom ROM, custom recovery or even flashing stock update via Firmware finder or flashing any unapproved stock firmware via DLOAD method and event after trying various methods of reviving the phone unable to do so and they can not flash the custom ROMs as well, sometime due to FRP locked etc or various unknown reasons.
Please share your TWRP backup for such users so that they will be bale to restore their phone and use it rather throwing it in frustration. It could be either TWRP backup for stock MM, Stock Nougat, Custom MM or custom Nougat
Please do not forget to mention the model number and the backup type as TWRP backup for stock MM, Stock Nougat, Custom MM or custom Nougat so that user download and restore only the backup they need rather messing it up again.
It can be system+boot or system+boot+vendor backup.
Example- BLN-AL10 Stock B375 Nougat
Thanks and happy flashing.

How do open bootloader
Related
hi, i really want to downgrade my S6 to lollipop but i have one of the latest bootloader (DPFX).
Downgrade was perfectly possible when i was on first build of marshmallow, but now, since i upgraded to DPFX bootloader, i have only fails with odin, and bootloops with custom roms...
is there any solution? if only i could flash an older bootloader, then i will be saved.
but if i flash an old bootloader with odin, i have a fail, so i don't know what to do
Some people suggested to me to use an old TWRP backup and i found it on my pc (with all partitions files: bootloader, system, radio and data, but i didn't use data) but using it, it's the same of flashing a custom rom: bootloop, and i suspect that the old bootloader never was flashed.
help

If you are on a newer mm bootloader then downgrading to lollipop is not possible

I knew this, but i want to know if there is a way, a not official way, like reinstalling bootloader in a forced way that doesn't care about security problems... this thing has no sense.... why totally prevent to downgrade? However, i thing it's NORMALLY impossible, but not
TOTALLY impossible

As far as I know if you're on a newer bootloader official or not there is no current method to downgrade. Maybe a phone shop has specialist equipment to do this but that's me taking a shot in the air
I was able to downgrade but not because i wanted, i flashed a corrupt firmware with ODIN and i have to do an emergency recovery with Smart Switch, my carrier doesn't have Marshmallow on the S6 so my phone restored in Lollipop

Download and flash: https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4302781&d=1508010356
You should now be rooted with Magisk.
Make sure you have TWRP 3.1.x from the twrp thread

Is it really that easy? i have mine rooted with TWRP 3.1, i can flash that file and I'll have magisk? I'm on the same HW/SW version as the OP.
since the Oreo is coming out, will I need to flash stock to get the Stock Oreo update when its released? I assume so. I am new to the Mates and they seem to have a much different flash method/path than the Nexus 6p and HTC devices i have done in the past. I'm kind of leery to pursue Installing ROM's and Magisk (never used it yet) but would like to. Any tips or links to detailed instructions for the Mate flashing? I cant find, what I feel, to be detailed instructions on XDA.
thanks

If you're rooted with SuperSU or Phh you will need to restore your stock boot image before flashing Magisk,
this can be done by downloading your firmware from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/ then extacting update.app and opening it in Huawei Update Extractor where you extract BOOT.IMG.
Flash it using fastboot flash boot boot.img.
As long as you're using firmware B182+ (Loop device support) and TWRP 3.1.x you can install official Magisk/SuperSU.
Oreo will be a full firmware so it shouldn't need to verify any partition, meaning you will only need to restore stock recovery.
Hello,
since I have some problems with my Honor 8 and my firmware is quiet old B380,
I wanna factory reset and take advantage to update/flash a custom rom like Lineage.
I have unrooted my phone and flashed the B380 stock boot.img
Can I just wipe and flash a custom rom using TWRP ?
Or I need to downgrade the version like B120 or something ? If yes could you help me a bit? Should I use the dload method and flash a recovery stock or something
Its been a long time i did that ^^'
Thanks for help

Just follow the instructions on the rom page on xda
For RROS it only say to factory reset/delete fingerprints and flash the rom+gapps
But I also need to have B385, do you think it's necessary ? What is the best way to update ?

Ok thanks for help but
I finaly updated to B389, but I don't think I will flash RROS or any other custom rom
I I've heard too many bad things/bug with these custom roms or maybe convaince me otherwise ^^
I have the International MHA-L29 version. I require the above files to flash directly after SuperSU.
On the forum all links are dead or broken.
Could someone please send me a working link of where to get them?
I'm currently on stock Nougat rom, however, wish to unlock bootloader, flash recovery, root and flash the latest Oreo rom.
However, I require the above so that I may be rooted with recovery on Oreo.
Many thanks!

Hello everybody,
I have a Condor A8 phone on Nougat. Months ago, I installed TWRP and forgot that I did. Today, I tried an update from the manufacturer and it stopped during the reboot step.
Since then, the phone always boots on TWRP and I don't even have a backup of my data. I'm unable to access my phone, unable to access "Download mode" to install a stock recovery.
What can I do to :
1 - Be able te re-use my phone ?
2 - Not lose my data ( contacts, pictures, notes )
Thank you in advance
I have the same problem

You can't apply stock OTA updates on devices that are rooted or devices that have TWRP installed. OTA updates require an unmodified system partition(meaning no root) and must have stock recovery instead of TWRP because TWRP isn't designed to flash stock updates, stock recovery is designed to flash stock updates. There are rare exceptions of rooted devices that can apply stock OTA updates but most devices can't.
You'll both have to flash your full stock firmware via PC to recover your devices.
Do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
