I'm having the same issue. Tried rebooting the phone, checked all settings, no dice. I really liked the haptic feedback when I unlocked my phone and now I can't seem to get it to work. Hopefully someone has a solution!
Edit: I found someone online who said to turn off battery saver mode if it's been enabled and, sure enough, that did the trick. Hope this helps!

I've turned off everything in settings, but they keep coming up. I've found typing to be much better without and faster, can anyone help?

So i've had my Nexus S for a little over a month now, and this morning when I woke up, the phone doesn't vibrate at all anymore. It shouldn't just be a setting because I've rebooted, played with the haptic feedbacks, played with the alarm, etc etc. Nothing works.
Has anyone else had this problem? Did the vibration on my phone just die? I've searched through XDA, and some people have had vibration issues, but only when receiving sms.
(I'm stock everything > locked, unrooted, stock rom)
Hoping someone knows a fix. Thanks in advance!!

Don't worry, juat wipe everything....hold power and vol.up....after you know what to do
Sigh. I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to that. I will try a full wipe and restore it this weekend and get back to you. Thanks so much for your help!!

Its gonna work trust me.
This may sound stupid, and maybe you've already checked, but under your sound settings is the vibrate set to always? I have things mysteriously uncheck themselves from time to time.. other than that, sadly, wiping would be the way to go..
So I haven't wiped yet because I was working all day but the vibrating came back on it's own for a while. Then it stopped again and now it's back again. Is this a bug? I will wipe this weekend to see it it will fix it completely.
Also, I've checked the settings and ok pretty sure it's set to always vibrate.

OFF-TOPIC
I remember long ago i had sony ericsson i500 (i think) and it had the same problem but one day it broke so i opened it and found out that the cable connecting the "motherboard" to the vibrator wasnt connected properly , you may have the same problem.
Hi guys,
First of all, I just would like to mention that I'm french so apologies if my english is not perfect.
I read this forum since I bought my tablet 3 month ago.
But now I really need your help, tonight (in France) I had a notification for JB update on my TF700 which is 100% stock.
I launched it, nothing was wrong until the tablet initiates a reboot and stopped.
Tablet was running on the battery but 80% loaded.
Now I'm unable to switch it on. I tried a reset, a cold boot nothing. Sometimes it vibrates but no more...
So by now the tablet is completely down
Do you guys can suggest something or my last chance is an exchange (holy **** don't wan't to start a 6weeks process...) ??
Thanks a lot
if it vibrates, thats a good sign that its not dead. Try holding the power button and volume down button at the same time. This is a cold boot, which you said you have done. but doing it a few times might get it to wake up.

Get a pin and find a hole on top of the mini HDMI slot. Put pin in the hole and turn it on.
Same problem here.

Did it already with no success ...
Good to know that I'm not the only one facing that issue. I'm going to raise a case to Asus support even if I'm not very confident with that ...
OK, got a reply from Asus support saying ... send your tablet back ...
If anyone has a magic solution to switch my tablet on I would really appreciate !
Lol...and I too

same issue here. went into bootloader and tried USBing it to the comp and the computer installs drivers but i can't open anything. Sometimes it'll boot into the Setup screen for JB, but during setup, it shuts off, boots back up and i just get a blank screen. Any ideas?
Quite a number of TF201 owners are in the same situation. Seems to be a problem with the changeover form ICS to JB. There are no solutions except RMAing currently - but if you are unlocked and have NVflash then check TF201 forums as there might be some help there.

Yea, Asus gave me an RMA number to send it in. I just hope it doesn't take that long
I brought mine back to the french store where I bought it ... I need to wait between a week and a month ....
Hello, before I installed Sky Map everything worked perfect on my rooted n5. I uninstalled skymap because I noticed that the app isn't working with 4.4 (cannot get input from sensors, so the sky stays still and you cannot point any star).
After that my N5 seems to "switch off" all of the accelerometers after about 10 minutes or half an hour. Until I reboot there is no way to make these sensors work. Every wallpaper or app that I can use for testing the accelerometers is like frozen.
Anyone noticed this behavior on his nexus? I cannot keep rebooting over and over all day long.... And there's nothing to flash or recovery since I didn't flash anything weird.

I noticed that EVERY sensor was dying after a couple of minutes. I flashed a CWM in order to wipe dalvik cache (I found in some forums that this operation may help) but got stuck in "wiping cache....".
Hard rebooted with longpress of the power button... and at the restart the phone was unable to read the (gsm) networks too.
So I downloaded the latest stock firmware and flashed it over.... goodbye. Things looks okay now, but I hate to be defeated so easily: the problem is that I fear a full-brick since this ain't no SGS2 any more and there's no usb jig to use in case of disaster. (happened 4+ times on former gs2).
I hope that a factory flash/downgrade won't be the solution for everyone having my same sensor issue.
Did you install any app that monitors the barometricc pressure when sleeping/standby?
If yes, this is a known issue because the access method to sensors while sleeping are different in 4.4.
Apps like these, that were correctly working with 4.3, will crash all sensors like barometer, cyroscope ... compass in 4.4.

try installing an app to read all the sensor data, like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.innoventions.sensorkinetics
if EVERY sensor look dead probably it's a software issue, if only the accelerometers don't work... my feelings would be that's a hardware fault... In that case it'd be better to ask for a replacement
Yeah that app reads accelerometer movements on x y z I think its a software thing. I'll try re flashing to see if problem's gone .. I'll post the result

Hi,
I am talking about XT1032 converted to GPE and also upgraded to 4.4.4
On this morning i noticed my battery is draining too fast and next step was to check battery in settings where i noticed "maps" was eating battery more than the screen, the GPS was ON all the time as long my setting for location was on battery econ. (location ill be determinated by data and wifi).
My phone was unable to get location by data or wifi and is showing me in a verry wrong place. all this seems to be solved with a reboot but for a short period of time when is starting again with same problems.
This is look like GPS Location Tracking Issue by wifi and data was in 4.4.2 and fixed after few weeks.
Someone can confirm that is a bug before i will factory reset and lose all my bunch of apps?
also if anyone find other problems in 4.4.4 pls write there.
thanks you in advice.
I have maps deactivated and GPS off but all I can tell you is that is NEEDED to avoid bugs, to do a factory reset after every update. I know you have to download every app and config them again, but it's the best way to avoid issues.
I'm enjoying a lot 4.4.4 GPE and my battery back up is better than in my stock rom (and it was awesome).
Have a great day
