[solved]where to find sim reader replacement? - Moto Z Accessories

I have broken some pins on the Sim1 reader and took the phone to authorized repair center, they told me the only option is to replace the motherboard.
So I'm seeking any help to find the SIM reader part usually it's easy to find online on AliExpress and other Chinese retail but it seems I can't find it anywhere for this model xt-1650-03 (optional dual SIM international version)

Nowadays it's not rare that they implemented the SIM reader into the motherboard. In my opinion, a motherboard replacement, although expensive, might be the only solution for you.

For future reference I found a seller who sells "original" sim reader replacement on ebay. If anyone is interested I'll pm the link.
Edit: removed link till I receive the replacement part
Update: the seller refunded after not receiving the order

LG G2x sim card/memory card reader board damaged, where can I get part?

Not sure which sub forum this was most appropriate, so I'm trying here

[Q] Broken sim card reader on my Infuse (visibly broken)

Hello.
I purchased a brand new Infuse from At&t when it came out, upgraded to a Note 2 and sold the Infuse on ebay. Then after a few days the buyer opened a claim saying it didn't read the sim card and I was forced to accept a return. When I got the cellphone back I noticed the metal plate on top of the reader was damaged and also 3 of the 6 little pins were missing (the far back ones). I suppose he damaged the reader by inserting a micro-sim adapter. By the way his ebay username is dwanderson1 BEWARE!
Anyway... now thanks to stupid ebay (and the motherf****r who broke it) i'm stuck with an expensive kind of "Galaxy player". This happened a week before moving overseas. Now I live in Lima-Peru and I have no idea where to get it fixed as I either find some sketchy repair centers or very modern expensive ones. Is the reader easy to replace? any suggestions?
Many thanks

Any micro sim card reader/tray compatible with iOCEAN X7 Elite?

Hello all
I recieved my new iOCEAN X7 Elite from China today.
I went to the shop to buy a SIM card and was given the wrong card (Nano SIM). When I went back to the shop they gave me an adapter to make it into either a Micro SIM or a standard SIM. The adapter broke my Micro SIM slot. One of the pins has snapped off and is inside the phone case somewhere (it rattles if I shake it but won't fall out). It also damaged my standard SIM slot by bending a pin, but I have pushed it back into place and although it's not how it was originally it still functions.
I've looked online at aliexpress, taobao, ebay, and other sites for a replacement SIM card reader/slot for this phone. All I've found are replacements for the popular Samsung/Nokia/iPhone phones and nothing for my phone.
Does anyone know a replacement part that is compatible with my phone? I can live without the Micro SIM slot to be honest but it would be useful to use two SIMs, and just the idea that I received this phone today and a major function is not working within a few hours, is not good.

Broke the sim reader.

So hmm i finally decided to use moto g as my main phone.
Got the nano --> microsim adaptor from a local store.
Inserted the sim. Sim doesnt get detected. Tried removing the sim. STUCK!. I think i broke the simreader pins without even actually using a phone.
I just contacted the motorola people.Too bad my phone is bought from usa and im in india till July. Anyone here has a guide on how to change the sim slot?!? I managed to remove the damn adaptor but i broke the pins so i guess i m screwed.
Same here. I'm going to buy a replacement for the SIM tray off ebay, and have it replaced (guys in my local store said it would cost $13, but another store asked for $20, so the prices may vary). I'm in Poland.
Hi, i have the issue with my moto g. I fix the problem manually using a little piece of metal to make sure that the pin I broke touch the Sim. But that's was my case, I recommend you to go in a technical service, they can put a new sim reader and this cost about 20$.
Motorola already realized that this is a serious problem, because in my Moto G 4G with LTE User Guide they clearly mention on 4th page: "Caution: Make sure you use the correct sized SIM card, and don’t use adapters with it."
How did you do it

Screwed up my MG2013 sim1 with the adaptor, Moto warranty is over and they said no for repair
Tried to find a way out and used a screwdriver to raise the points but the gold points dont read the Sim any which way
I will probably look for a local shop who can replace the reader I guess

Anybody in here actually did this repair? I noticed there are differences between the new tray and my old one.

Are SIM Chip Contacts Replaceable?

So in removing a SIM chip, the bracket has seemed to scrape out all the SIM contacts within the phone. Can this be repaired or do I have a SIM less phone going forward?
I think they are replaceable and cheap. Check on eBay with a moto g3 sim socket holder search. Check on Youtube for a help video on replacing.
