LG Ui is lag we all know, to reduce the lag go to under Developer option scroll down to near bottom under section Hardware Accelerate rendering. enable option: Force hardware rendering, it should make the Ui faster.
doesn't really do anything. I've had this since day 1 and it's still laggy.
I never had any kind of lag on my LG UI = LG G2. G3. V10..and now V20 !!!
By accident I found about LDB/MLT, I turned it off and my phone is much faster now! Google it or have a look here https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.re...ree_up_some_ram_up_to_300mb_and_maybe_gain_a/ for more details.

Nevermind ram back to normal so disabling logs didn't do anything

Of course forcing hardware rendering over software is going to make things snappier. You're using dedicated graphics hardware over CPU algorithms, at the expense of increased power use.

A hidden application installed by LG that tracks specific user information.
http://devtester.ro/projects/lg-firmwares/mlt.php
There is one way to reduce the lag in an LG phone: Sell it and buy yourself a samsung or a pixel.
I am sick of this lag, and I can't afford to buy a new phone.
I think the LG software team is two teenagers who have no idea what are they doing.

Hey peoples,
Just thought I'd make a quick guide to how to make your Android phone boot up faster without hibernation and 3rd party apps (which don't really help much!)
This is super easy and quick to do.
#################
# Requirements! #
################
A rooted Android phone with root browser or similar app
###############
# Instructions! #
##############
Using root browser, navigate to system -> build.prop. Scroll down to the bottom and enter this line:
Code:
ro.config.hw_quickpoweron=true
Save build.prop and next time you turn your device on it should be considerably faster!
GOOD LUCK!
Just hit the thanks button, he doesn't bite your finger!
Sounds simple enough. I'll try it out and report back. Thanks for the tip, bud!
you can also disable the boot animation .... this will help a little bit to gain speed....
put this line in build.prop:
debug.sf.nobootanimation=1

I didn't put that in because its common knowledge. However my line is rare.
Your line will help but i personally love boot animations
Are there some services being turned off when I put that line?

The thing to remember with build.prop edits is that they can be hit and miss and as shown in the past some don't seem to do anything at all, they can even have an adverse effect if you don't know what you're doing.

I tried the other one but I didn't see a significance in boot speed. I'm going to try this one too. I notice my boot animation is the main thing consuming boot time. SO maybe this and the other it should show a difference.
Thanks for the tip!

Both of those changes didn't work. The boot animation still occurred and my time got slower on the first change.

Hey guys,
I am posting here as I am totally desperate ...
Since I own my Tablet Shield I had the same behavior after each OTA update : The tablet is getting slow and laggy, even freezing.
The workaround was to do a factory reset and then it was brand as new.
Since last OTA update 1 month ago, this work around isn't working anymore
I am really disappointed as I only use this tablet to read book and a bit of social media. No gaming or heavy apps. That's really annoying and I am actually thinking of getting back to an Ipad 2 that was faster ...
Any toughs about this issue ?
Thanks
clean cache or maybe reduce cpu to 2 core?

Maybe those games left some junk behind when you unis taller them. Have you tried CCleaner?
or maybe the uninstall took some stuff with it. If that is the case you may need to do a factory reset or reinstall. The kdz file and dll are available.

I expect it to lag a bit after a year but this is absurd.

I have it in my developer options... T-Mobile.
Isn't in developer options on my v10 though...
Must be a new thing in Nougat then.
Ended up having AT&T send me another LG V20.
Haven't had any issues yet other than the occasionally slow down when updating apps and trying to do something else.
Kill Facebook Messengers chat heads if you have it switched on.
Then go into phone Settings - Apps - Messenger and disable "Draw over other apps".
See if that helps.
It seems to have worked for the lag issues on my v20.

Actually I have a v20 and it last at least twice as long as all of my friends iphones
Not sure if this would be the right thread but I'm just looking for a bit of advice since LG and T-Mobile aren't gonna help. Seems my V20 is one of many lemons and overheats like crazy. The option to disable hardware overlays helped but when an app crashes the phone reboots and at this point I'm over it. I just wanna know if i can just buy another single slot motherboard and swap it with the one already in the phone.
Not sure if its due to some bugs or just how huawei prioritizes their memory but man do apps just randomly close a bit too frequently, sometimes even switching between 2 apps! The most recent example is if I'm listening to pocketcast and I take a picture, the audio stops and when I return to that app it does a fresh open.
it's somehow worse than my iphone 6 plus which I hated because the 1gb of ram wasn't enough.
This is on the US version. Maybe I should pick up a OP3T... but I swear the other 4gb ram android phones i've used were better at this.
Wonder if there are any tweaks I can do to help?
It's probably just their aggressive battery management. Try from battery optimization settings to check if your podcast app is set to close when not in use.

I have both the 3T and the Mate 9. I was going to sell the 3T but I am now considering going back to it and selling the Mate 9. I have noticed some freezing that goes on when I open apps. It doesn't happen a lot but I do notice sometimes I will click on an app it will freeze for a few seconds and then the app will open. I already reset the phone and it still occurs. Or I will be watching a movie in google movies and I go to exit out of the app and it'll freeze for a few seconds before exiting.
There are also app compatibility issues. When in google movies, if you try to adjust the volume the whole screen will turn black until you close the volume slider.
- Hulu does not work it just shows a black screen. Another user said I need to call Hulu to get it working because the default stream codex they are using doesnt work with the mate 9
- Google voice doesn't work consistently.

I still use Huawei Home maybe that's why Lagga but I'm not sure. This does this after a fall of my phone but I do not think is due to that because the original cover has deadened the shot and the fall was not too high about 50/60 cm.
Did anyone complaint huwaei abt the touch lag , its getting irritating day by day ..

It may be a fall to cause this decrease in performance. The fall occurred low, about 100 cm. I tell you though that the silicone has deadened the shot
