Hi,
After some time on custom room I wanted to go back to stock rooted system.
I downloaded the newest version from SamMobile and flashed throug ODIN. It's working perfectly fine but every time when I flash boot.img it's hanging on Samsung logo.
I tried to flash TWRP recovery, and patched Magisk boot.img. I noticed that everytime I flash boot.img and startup the phone, device vibrate twice on starting showing Samsung Logo.

So as the title suggest i have tried to install XtreStoLite 3.0 RC1 Marshmallow Android 6.0.1 on my phone. I wanted to upgrade from previous XtreStoLite 2.4 so here is what i did: I booted into TWRP recovery and wiped system, dalvik cache. Then i installed the XtreStoLite 3.0 and the instalation was successfull in the installer it asked me what type of phone i have i choose s6 920f and then it installed and after that was finished i rebooted the phone and now i am stuck in a bootloop...I ran out of ideas, someone please help me to ''bring it back to life''.The phone is almost new it was bought 1 month ago, if that matters.
Thanks in advance.
Its probably because you need mm bootloader, twrp 3.0.0 and arters new kernel.

You have to pull MM bootloader and radio out of the stock MM firmware and flash threw odin or flash the whole stock MM firmware and start over.

Copy the twrp backup file to your computer, use Odin to flash stock 5.1.1 , then flash twrp, then restore backup , you don't have to copy it to your computer, just in case it gets deleted when odins flashing.

Head over to sammobile and then download appropriate firmware for your device, once you are done, flash it using ODIN.
So I updated my s6 to 6.0.1 OTA. Then decided to root using CF-root.
Now when I try installing the custom recovery it just stays at the screen. I can boot normally & into download mode. But it won't boot into recovery mode. I downloaded the latest version for my phone model and it still doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?
Also, what is SEandroid?
And another question off topic. I usually use textdroider to change my dpi on my previous phones but it doesn't seem to work for my s6. Any ideas?

I use arter97 twrp 3.0.0.2 and when enter recovery mode, the phone show like that but it work well
The worst is waiting to see if the flash worked or not... it stays on the boot screen for a while :fingers-crossed:
If you flash the 3.0.2.1 version of twrp from here this issue should be resolved.

Awesome that worked! Thanks! One last question... My phone is encrypted and because of that, I'm not able to back up my phone, at least that is my thought process, is there anyway around that? Also does this mean i can't install zip files either?

If you flashed a stock firmware successfully it will not boot into twrp, flashing a stock firmware will install stock recovery, which means the stock firmware did not flash properly. Have you tried smart switch at all? Are you sure you have the correct firmware to flash through odin?

Yes I am sorry I didn't explained that. Atfer I tried to install stock ROM it got stuck, then smart switch didn't recognize the device but I manage to do the emergency recovery thing with model number and s/n but same thing it got stuck on the same installing system update screen. After that I installed TWRP via Odin to try to push a custom ROM zip, I did that but when I tried to install it failed.

Download Samsung SmartSwitch and from the upper menu select Emergency Recovery Mode, put your phone in Download Mode and connect it to your computer, enter your model number and S/N when asked, and it will download and install latest firmware for your model.
Sorry, i haven't seen that you already tried that.

That means TWRP works and Fastboot/Download works. What is the actual Galaxy S6 model? Mine is G920F.
What custom ROM did you try?
What version of TWRP are you using? The wrong one can create issues.
Did you wipe the phone trough TWRP first? Twice? Including internal memory?

Give more details. What is your firmware build version. Which version did you download and flashed.

Thank you
Thanks for the reply,
My version seems to be 174 and i flashed the magisk_patched.img for version 189,
Post flash it booted fine, but a lot of things like wifi, BT etc weren't working, also magisk wasn't starting, that's when i realised i made that mistake, and so I went back into fastboot mode and flashed the stock boot.img, but then it stopped booting and has been stuck in a boot loop with the Zenfone logo ever since.

So, i just downloaded the v.189 WW Firmware and flashed it using adb sideload in recovery mode, and now it's booting up fine...
Your bootloop occurred because you flashed a stock boot.img instead of a patched one. As far as I know this always causes a bootloop because the phone is modified and only boots with Magisk patched boot.img

I don't think that was the problem, my phone works fine with both stock boot.img and the patched magisk_pathed.img, as long as they matched with the Firmware Version,
Mine was originally v174 on the Firmware side on which i installed a newer magisk_patched.img which was meant for v189

It was a good opportunity to check if TWRP flashed stock firmware fine... It should, but someone actually confirming it would have been nice.

I just updated to ESG5 version of OREO. The nightmare comes... I cannot boot again now !!
Until I flash back the original version of OREO, that is , with ESG5 bootloader one, it can boot.
However, I cannot use TWRP and root anymore !

I flash TWRP in Odin and flash no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip in TWRP.
It has a normal boot for previous version of bootloader.

ok, that other post made it seem like you were trying to flash that in Odin LoL anyways so, when you do all that and then reboot, it just goes black or does it bootloop?

yes, it just bootloop
Don't use no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip (you probably don't need it) .
Start all over. Flash the stock ROM with Odin, then flash TWRP, and then flash Magisk (via TWRP).
