Removing annoying features of an android application - General Questions and Answers

hello everyone,
I am still learning about programming stuff but I use android daily and there are my favourite apps which get worse after every update like UC Browser. This is the best app I've ever had to make use of. The most functional browser and also very convenient, but the way it gets annoying after every update is why I post this question today. I want to remove some features of an application and make it run like nothing happened. UC browser has just way too many ads like:
1- One the top of homepage of the browser
2- Adding sponsored speed dials automatically
3- Notifications about the news
4- Banner pops up anytime when using any application and UC running in the background
5- A whole scrolling feed of news and sponsored content on the home page of the browser
6- Automatically enables its own lock screen saver function
7- Adds widget or floating bubble/icon on its own which is rip off of iOS control centre
8- Asks for too many permissions which it does not even have features of or not required by a browser
Now many of you will say that they can all be disabled or just go with it if you want to use it so bad or suggest alternatives but UC browser is really good if we remove all the things mentioned above and I ask for help on removing these features manually from the apk resource itself.
I've heard about deconstructing apk and editing it but I need some proper instructions from someone to work on this or let someone else do it. If we can achieve this we might be able to remove annoyance from really nice applications like UC browser which will be beautiful and neat.
Thank You

Go here and find an older version, they have older versions of all kinds of apps.

Other than that, you're on your own. We are all volunteers here in our free time, no one has the kind of time to help you learn your way through this, you'll have to research and learn how to do it yourself. If it means that much to you then you'll do what it takes, if you aren't willing then it doesn't really matter to you to begin with.

If you're rooted, just install an ad filtering app

Ad blockers don't really help very much with ads that run in-app in my experience. Ad blockers are more effective when browsing the web via the various mobile browsers.

Thank you for the reply. it really means a lot to me to actually get rid of all the annoyance from that app which does not even offer a cleaner one which can be bought separately and it would be great if you could recommend me from where to start because this is what i came here for in the first place :].

You can use APKTool to decompile the app then modify it. Where and what you need to edit is something you'll have to figure out. After editing to suit your purposes, re-sign and re-compile the apk then use the app.
I would recommend using an older version of the app from APK mirror that wasn't such a pain. Then add the newer features from the current version that want to keep if you are going to go through the trouble of modifying an app, it may be easier this way instead of trying to remove things from the newer version.

Thank you very much. This some proper direction i can work on. I will try the other method you recommended. Im glad i asked here

What have you done with Blue Stacks?

Well this is my first post on XDA, but since BlueStacks came out and I've had a chance to play around with it, I had to ask how other XDA members were utilizing it. I've managed to get ADW Launcher EX on there with a bunch of apps including podcastr, halo reach stats, IMO, 4shared, appBrain and more. When I pull up the emulator the ADW desktop is set to the largest amount of icons on the homepage so it looks just like an Android Desktop OS would look like. I'm pretty excited with home snappy it runs and wondering if this could ever become an actual OS - this is really clean compared to Windows. It definitely needs to be fixed up but I like it.
Seems like BlueStacks might be taking it in a "Premium" direction though. The market won't work so the only way to get APK's is with there cloud app or via 4shared or the browser (apks). Also you have internet but not on your own wifi, I believe it connects to there server and routes you through it so watch what you are doing on it - when you pull up the browser its there homepage and there is no wifi settings even though I turned wifi on with the power widget.
Check out the screenshot and tell me what your doing with BlueStacks
This software dose not have a proxy so don't worry about it, its just a virtual player and its still a baby.
Here is a little post I did on FB about what I use it for
Hey guys, the posts have been a little slow so I thought I would as a question that we all can reply to, when you do use bluestacks what do you use it for?
I use mine for testing my apps I make or apps I want to use on none supported android devices, I also sometimes use it to play that piggy game that comes with it lol I also use it for web dev when I want to see how it looks like without finding my phone out lol
I still don't feel bluestacks is able to do what we all need it to do, I feel its down the bluestacks trying to limit us on how we use it and the player is good but at the moment still very unstable, I really hope they will get better and I keep watching, what about you what do you use it for and what's your view on it so far.
I would give there app 6/10

The web uses the connection of the pc and the browsers home page is just set to bluestack so your ok, people have been moding bluestack with no problems, your right they are heading for a pro version but you can install apps via the adb or web and other things like that.
I use bluestacks as a small window I made gizmostack that lets you resize the window, so I hope this lets you see one others might use it for good luck.

[New App] AirDroid Lets Your Desktop Control Your Android Phone Over WiFi

For those who spend a lot of time looking at a computer, and can't be bothered to look at their phone very often, Sand Studio has introduced AirDroid, an app that allows users to control their Android Phone from a computer via WiFi.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=WfNnQxpw7Uw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfXRhSIm-m0
The great thing about AirDroid is that it works - it's easy to start up, and functions flawlessly (in my experience). The interface is also very polished - mimicking a desktop launcher complete with moveable icons, a task bar, and controls that allow you to do just about anything.
One of the most impressive features is the ability to access SMS messages, manage them, and send messages right from a web browser. Users can also manage contacts, uninstall/backup apps (AirDroid will download your apps as apk files), browse files, access the Android Market, and manage music and ringtones, in addition to the ability to look at phone information from CPU status to battery level and beyond.
Best of all, AirDroid is completely free from the Android Market. With all the powerful features it offers, this app is certainly worth checking out.

edit: just installed the app..sometimes the app makes the phone go crazy!! i have to logout fro the browser or turn off wifi for the phone to become normal.
This is without a doubt 'the best' app for controlling your phone from your browser. I've installed and played with many and this one tops the lot in my opinion.
It's clean, easy to use, great interface (both on the phone and PC).
Side note: This thread would probably be much better off in General Android Apps and Themes forum - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=530. The app isn't specific an LG Optimus.

I'm a little hesitant to try out apps like this as well but they have nothing but good feedback on the market and a good following on both Facebook and Google+, as well as having their own website, so I was happy to give it ago.
@smackdownn Yeah I am with you on the whatsapp, this app is brilliant.
@Nucleotide & SpyderTracks Seriously? Whats the issue with privacy? Scared these devs are going to email or sms your gf while you are out? Either that or learn to hide your porn somewhere that is not your phone. I have said this before on so many occasions, when you were using a nokia/winmo/other NON android phone, they sneakily NEVER asked for permissions, but you installed apps that could pretty much do anything on your phone anyway
This app is by far the best solution I have tried in this regard, it just works and damn well too
@Cornelha
Lol.... I get what you're saying, but I think it's a little naive... the information we hold on smartphones these days compared to "our old nokias" means security is vital. After years of dodgy torrents, malware and hacked accounts, I've learnt to take it a bit more seriously, albeit probably to the extreme

I agree. I don't have anything I would call "sensitive data" on my phone but I do have a lot of contact information such as names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and other information which although not really sensitive, I still don't want other people to have - especially if I don't know about it. Not only that but apps can track your location, the buttons you press on your phone, numbers dialed, text messages sent, websites you visited, and the list goes on.
With that in mind I take caution when installing any app. I check for things like the amount of reviews on the market, the quality of the reviews (good vs. bad), does the developer have a website, a Facebook page with a good following, and so on.
one of the best app i ever know

i love this app!!!! i wish it would have a feature like an android simulator as well so we can open certain apps like whatsapp via mac/pc...
I have been using Lazy Droid but after using this for couple of days, I have uninstalled Lazy Droid. Nice app. thanks
I love AirDroid!!! It helps me to transfer photos and files from my phone to my PC wirelessly. I don't need to carry my cable anywhere with me. It's a great app. Nice job!

You don't need to install on the PC. You just need to open the browser and visit web.airdroid.com to log in. Then you can manage you phone on the web. Easy, right?

App Permissions - Little Help Please

I'm still newer to Android and today realized the permissions that apps request. Before I was quick to just accept & go. I was about to install an app that is requesting a LOT of permissions. Phone calls, hardware controls (pics/vids at any time), and network communication (SMS I believe). My questions are simple.
1. Do certain custom mods, like Synergy? Do some mods already implement certain things into itself to disable some of these features? I understand this is a mod-by-mod basis if so. Does Synergy do anything to disable this crap, anybody know?
2. How worried do I have to be about this? Will the app literally take pics and send them out without my knowledge? Or is it only the pics I take it can send out? How does this work?
3. Which of the permissions that apps request do I really need to keep an eye on and watch out for? AKA, what could take info/pics that I dont want it to?
4. Is Anti-Virus software REALLY necessary since I'm all rooted and such? I read articles saying it's useful and others saying it doesn't even provide much protection, and the chance to get something is quite rare if you only use google play/android market?
Thanks in advance for any and all help. I ditched Apple and AT&T for this thing, and with it being rooted, I am unbelievably happy I made the switch to both VZW and the S3! AWESOME phone, screen size, and customization!
Edit: Posted wrong forum....Shoulda been Q&A forum. Devs plz move.
1. Not sure. I haven't played with synergy.
2. What kind of app is it? This is huge into what kkind of permissions it needs. If its a live wallpaper app it shouldn't be asking to be able to read your contacts or send SMS. You just gotta think what does this app do and why does it need this permission. A launcher app like Apex or Nova needs A LOT of permissions. To be able to make calls and send SMS and work the camera as a launcher can do all of those. Does a game need the ability to do that though? No. It may ask to read your contacts so it can share crap with your friends though. It can be hard when you look at permission apps ask for to decide it its legit or not. If you can't decide just don't download.
I try to only download hugely popular apps that I know aren't malware. If its got over 100k downloads chances are it is a safe app.
Permissions are tricky and until you realize all an app can do you wont understand why it wants to do some things. It took me a good year of downloading apps and reading about things toto get a great grip on permissions.
The biggest thing is common sense. What does the app do and why should it need this permission. An SMS app needs permission to the camera and to send SMS that cost money and read your phone book and such. But if I download a live wallpaper or a weather widget...why would they need such abilities. That should raise a HUGE red flag. Anytime you see "can send SMS that may cost you money" in permissions try to figure out why it needs that. Cause the last thing you want is to DL it and tomorrow have $600 in txt fees.
I don't believe in anti virus on my phone. Yeah you can get em and some love em. But really. If you just use common sense and don't download suspicious things you shouldn't need one. I refer back to only download trusted apps. If it has less the 1k downloads. Be wary. It may be a new app that a dev just launched. Or it could be a reason for the lack of downloads. Look at reviews ALWAYS. Yes many are from morons. But some are helpful. Also if you want a popular game go straight to the devs for it in the market. Many times bogus apps are posted that spoof popular apps like angry birds. Download the one with millions of downloads. Not the one with a thousand.
The more you use your device the more you'll understand. I download plenty of apps from XDA with very few downloads in the market and have been safe. But this comes from knowing and trusting a developer. That's why these forums rock. You can get in on an app in its infancy and help test it and make it grow.
--Sent from GlaDos baked potato
Google is eventually going to have to step in and put a stop to this, but more and more apps are requesting permissions that they have no business requesting. It is unfortunate, especially when the intrusive app is one you would like to have.
I choose to completely disregard any app that asks for permissions it is obvious it doesn't need. The exception being internet access for ads, as incorporating ads into an app can be a legitimate way for an app developer to generate revenue. (And the unsightly ads can be removed with an ad blocker like AdAway, so it's kind of a win-win).
However, if there is an app that you just "need" to download or would just like better control of your phone, you could download an app called "Permissions Denied." This app let's you decide what permissions are granted to each app.
i use LBE Privacy Guard to help manage my permissions. You can mark certain apps as trusted and deny specific permissions for other apps. Also lets you know when a specific app is trying to access certain functions. Only had it for a couple days but liking it so far.
i used to run an anti-virus, AVG to be specific, but after a while just decided to get smarter about what i install and have been going without one.

Hey guys, I am a product manager of UC Browser and to make it a better one we need to hear from more users especially you fellows. We do hope you could leave us some comments about the very product no matter it is a compliment or criticism, we are all ears. Thank you.
How about upload manager? That's what android really needs. You currently have to use opera to file browse and upload. This worked fine on winmo, I still Dont understand how its not considered a basic feature in android.
Thanks for sharing.

So I tried it...
and got some issues...
that browser is good looking and it works fast.
But:
I can't see the multiple language support.
If you want to make it "world wide" you should allow users from outside the U.S. delete/edit Speed dial items to chose from. Let's say (for example) "Mercado Libre" is not as interesting as you might think.
Concerning all of your browsers: the "help buttons" are a joke, can't get any real information here.
Why don't you offer ad free versions of UC Browser and UC Browser mini? I would pay to use them.
You should give a clear statement which user data is collected/forwarded to your servers.
Regards!

Hello, random hero. Thanks for your review.:good:
First I am sorry that I made a mistake because the beta version is only for English, the current version on Google Play and the release version for 9.0 support 7 languages. For the Speed Dial, you can long press on it to remove, and an edit option is put into consideration. Also the websites for Speed Dial recommendation are not very carefully chosen because it's the beta test, it is certain that the official release will make it right.
The content in "Help" may not provide really helpful info for users, as you mentioned, I have reported this to my colleague to make it with more guidance.
For the ad-free version, we will consider it seriously. For the moment, we are not pushing many ads to the browser and it's for sure that user experience is our priority. Thanks again for your feedback.:fingers-crossed:
Hello finally someone to listen for uc browser
Okay
This was the best browser on symbian and having used it for a long time I am way disappointed by the Android version
I have used both the normal and hd version
And here it goes
1) )u guys have an awesome in browser down loader I use this browser for precisely this purpose
One thing that can be added to the downloader is the option of changing links for an active download which stops like we do in loaderdroid download manager
2) the server compression program doesn't work as good as expected for countries like India
3) it displays annoying messages which should be hidden
Like page zoom saved there's no need to display that
4) the pinch to zoom is laggy as compared to any other browser
Talking about the normal version not the tablet one
Yes I mean it as compared to any other browsers and I am on s3 so it cannot be a hardware issue
Pinch to zoom needs to be way more smooth
5) the tablet version does not have any advanced option that used to exist in the symbjan version
So please change this also.....
6) the ui of the normal version is in general laggy
U need to let go of some of the transition effects and stick to faster animations
Rest I believe this browser has the potential to be the best android browser ever even better than chrome if u guys work on it
Right now my choice is naked browser
Feature requests
1) 1click copy paste and go like naked browser and copy all like naked browser
2) link changes for paused downloads like loader DROID download manager
3) porting features from s60v3 versions

About the "upload" function, do you mean something like "Skydrive" on winmo?
To browser files on your device, you can use file manager in UC Browser (Setting-General-Downloads-File Manager), and the official release of UC Browser 9.0 will have UDisk(a free online storage function) so that you can upload and keep your files on the "cloud":fingers-crossed:
Yup and I almost forgot to applaud u guys for the browser stability this is a very stable browser and the download process is far more stable than any other browser be it default or third party this means no page reloads due to lack of ram etc
In terms of stability this is the best browser ever
But ui is laggy in the normal version so not using presently
Tablet version is so fat good will report after trying
Also what happened to the forum mode u guys had on the symbian version single most used feature by me
Reimplement it here
There was another feature which was pre loading pages wherever the word next etc appears and displaying them as continuous pages in the same page
Came in handy when reading or viewing vuclip
Reimplement it on Android
These are the unique features to ur browser u gotta bring it to the table

Similar IPhone Tweaks on S7 Edge

Hey guys,
I just placed an order on Amazon for the International S7 Edge version. I was looking on the xda forum and the Playstore for certain tweaks that will help with the transition from an iPhone 6 Plus to S7. I will admit it's this is overwhelming for me, it's like learning a whole new language.
These are the apps and tweaks that I mostly use on my iPhone. Can you tell me if there is anything similar to these.
- Cydia - All in one app for mods, tweaks, torrent client, etc.
- Protecti+ - Allows me to only show you want I want to show you when someone uses my phone. I can choose to hide apps, pictures, text messages, etc. I can use an command to bring everything back like hitting my home button three times.
- GV Mobile+ - I use this app if I am selling something on Craigslist and I don't want to give out my real phone number. I am able to use a different phone number for texting and calling by using my real number but it's masked with my fake number.
- AppCake - it's a pirated site for crack apps. Just an FYI, I do purchase all of my apps and tweaks through Cydia but I have learned my lesson to try it out before buying.
- TorrentBox - Just an app I use to download torrents.
For torrent Client - flud has no rival.
For torrent search - Use torrent search app from the playstore
For cydia - there are a lot of applets outlet on Android. Do your search when you get your phone.
Protecti+ - Use guest mode on Android or use security apps to hide whatever secret you've got. Your best bet here will be to use the guest mode.
To hide/mask a number, there are a lot of apps that do similar things on Android. You might want to root and discover new ways of doing that. Google search and you'll find virtually all the steps needed to do whatever you want to do to your phone. Make google your friend.

Thanks for the info. If I root my phone will I still be able to use the finger print login? I hear mix reviews about Samsung pay not and is working with international phones.

I'm not sure about Pay, but fingerprint will definitely work. Moreover, there is a private mode by default which hides gallery, music, voice recorder and files. If this isn't enough, you can easily find new apps on the play store. Most of them have free versions, so you don't have to buy (at least at first).
If you do root your device, you can install xposed and get almost all the network & location spoofing done. I haven't personally needed an app like GV Mobile+, so I'm not sure about it.

Thanks, I'll check out xposed for location spoofing.
Google Voice is great if you don't want to give out your real phone number. You can make calls using a Google number which will call you to your real phone number then once you pick up it will then call the number your trying to call so it only shows that Google phone number not your real number.
I'll checkout Guess Mode. I only hide personal apps like my back account, settings, shopping apps or anything someone can go in and make changes.
Just going through these post on here is crazy. So much to learn. I just hope the auto correct and multi tasking is great on the Samsung. Right now my phone reboots 8 times a day when I
Multitask with my iPhone 6 Plus.
For Cydia equivalent, use Xposed, it works almost the same but you don't need to add source like cydia does.
I don't think we have any AppCake equivalent source/module, but most of the Xposed module came free with a complete feature.
for Torrent, uTorrent on the playstore would do the trick, no need to root, just install it.

Thanks, so xposed is not a location spoofing app but more like a Cydia, gotcha. I am familiar with uTorrent on my PC so that would work.
I don't think I need to root my phone. I am not trying to change the color my my keyboard or make changes to my layout. I just like certain tweaks like different multi-tasking options, hiding apps, location spoofing for apps and much more.
Xposed is what you want. Root using the guide on xda id stick to stock rom for now and flash the xposed files

Thanks,
Do you need to root your phone to load xposed and use tweaks?
Having used appcake I don't think xposed is really equivalent at all. Xposed will give you more control over our os and installing mods. You'd probably want something like blackmart or apptoid which are more similar to appcake. You can find these apks by doing a Google search. Once you download an apk it installs like a normal app. Doing this is called side loading and you have to go into your security settings and check allow from unknown sources.

Yes you need root. You will want to unlock your boot loader and install a custom recovery first thing. They're some great guides on here on how to do that.
Keep in mind, once you root, you'll never get to use Samsung pay, which does work on international devices. Where are you located?

Yes. Looks like you've learnt a lot already! And yes, in iPhone terms, xposed is like Cydia
Keyboard, I'll either suggest the Google Keyboard or Switkey. Both are free, so you can try them. Swiftkey has a special mode for the edge screen which is kinda helpful for me, so keys don't overflow to the edges of the screen. And it learns your typing patterns damn well including where you press for each key.
As for multi-tasking, its quite epic with the 4GB of ram. You should be able to do all your work. No reboots at all here!
I hope you have the International variant! Because it has a lot more support and is easily unlockable / rootable. If you do root though, you trip a security switch called Knox. This will harm your validity, which is why Samsung Pay would mostly likely not work (people might find a way around it). But in normal day usage, rooting has no effect whatsoever.
If your banking apps can see that you've rooted and refuse to work, there are modules in Xposed that can help you hide it. So its a negligible.
Anything else?
Thanks guys,
I will mess with the phone this weekend and see what I can come up with. I know it's going to be a learning curve for me but I am sure in the end it will be worth it. If not then I always have my jailbroken iPhone I can use.
Appcake on iOs, Blackmarket on Android. I can get any latest version apps(from the other country) when it still not available for my country. On Appcake you cant update your apps, need to reinstall it (cmiiw)

And then a handful of people in here goes on to tell you to root and install Xposed. Right. I would NOT root or do any heavy modifications to the device at first. You're coming from an iPhone and Android is completely new to you, so I would recommend you to get to know Android first, and then after a month or so when you've learned how to properly use the thing, then start looking for alternative apps, services, mods etc. Don't look at a product you haven't touched yet and ask your self "how can I improve this?", when you don't know what to even improve.
People around here will, of course, tell you to root, tweak the battery and launch it on a rocket to mars. Don't listen to them. You are however interested in some alternative apps to the one's you used on your iPhone.
- Cydia = Xposed, but the latter is much more powerful, and thus much more dangerous. It's a fun app to use, but it requires root, which will void your warranty, and Samsung Pay will be long gone. It'll trigger KNOX, and your phone will forever be marked as modified. You won't be able to make it completely stock again. Ever. So I would hold off with root and Xposed for now.
- Protecti+ = Private Mode, which you can find in the drop down notification center. You can toggle it on and off there, and you can set photo albums, files etc. to private, and the files will only be visible when you tap the Private Mode-toggle, access it with your fingerprint, and then all the files will be visible in the Gallery, file explorer and so on. When you want to hide it again, just exit Private Mode by tapping the Private Mode-toogle again.
- GV Mobile+ = No idea, but it's a Google Voice number, so I guess there's a solution out there. I don't use it myself, so I don't really have an overview over what's going on in that area.
- AppCake = Piracy is something that is really easy to do on Android, and it's a serious problem for the devs, so please don't do it. The Google Play Store has a refund function, which means that if you buy an app and you're not happy with it, then just tap "Refund". Voila. That's it. You can use the refund-button for about 2 hours after you've bought the app (or more), but you can easily get a refund after a month to if you really want to. The point here is that there's no reason to pirate any app. Pirating an app is also risky, since the APK can be modified with malware and so on. This is literally how malware spreads on Android. Cheap people who can't spend a buck.
- TorrentBox = Flud. Simple as that. It looks great, and it works great.
Again, just use your S7 Edge! Just use it and get used to Android. Are you bothered by something? Alright, it can probably be tweaked. Don't like the default messaging app? Okay, so just install a different one. Don't like the browser? Install a different one. Don't like the look of things? Download a theme or two from the Theme Store. You have no reason to root right now. At all. If you do, I'm sure we'll read a Q&A thread from you soon where something has gone horribly wrong, and you have no idea what to do, since you have no idea how things work
J.biden is 100% right get used to s7 edge before you start playing with tweaks and root.
Once you root you can never go back to complete original firmware as out of the box and you will void warranty. To some including myself that doesn't matter but many it does especially those new to android.
Don't rush it just tske your time.

Well put JBiden??
I wasn't planing on rooting the phone at first. I need to learn how to switch between apps, learn the settings and learn how to use other functions.
With my iPhone I don't even use custom themes. I just like Protecti+, Intube, Flex2, and TypeStatus.
I only use AppCake to try out paid apps and if it's something I like and does what they claim then I will delete the app and pay for it. But honestly I don't buy that many apps at the App Store because everything I need is free but I do but a bunch of tweaks and apps from Cydia. I just hate it when developers don't update their tweaks.
Can I download custom app switchers / Multi-Tasking tweaks?
Is there Visual voicemail on the International S7 Edge?

One biggest thing that I am still trying to find a good resolution to is group mms messaging and with pictures video mail. Imessage was great and reliable and didn't compress images and videos.
U should shut off imessage and FaceTime on your iPhone a few days prior to porting that number over to Android.
I also had an issue that if people sent me a text to a thread that was when I had imessage enabled, it didn't go through. I needed to have my family erase and start brand new text messages to me in order to receive them.
I am not sure if any of the 3rd party SMS apps out there work better with group messages, picture mail and videos. I think either one u use, your carrier will compress the file.
Hangouts and whatsapp is only good if everyone installs.

Typestutus was cool tweak but not something available off imessage platform.
There is also an ad blocker for Samsung browser on playstore that works pretty good.
I miss youtube+ on iPhone as that blocked ads and allowed u to fast forward or rewind ten seconds with a push of a button.
I haven't found a good YouTube replacement on my s7 edge yet that.
I would suggest fooling around with default apps prior to installing 3rd party ones. I used android allot in 2012 and I had a replacement app for all default ones. Coming back to Android especially with Samsung there r big improvements.
I am.currently using the default keyboard and touchwiz. U have all those themes u can download to theme keyboard as well as touchwiz. Touchwiz has many options but.if u still feel that's not enough nova launcher is all I hear about when reading.
I used to love the tweak on iph

Thanks for this. I was trying to figure out how to move my curser using the keys on the keyboard. This helps out a lot.
The only thing I am struggling with is finding a way to hide selected apps with a gesture. I have been looking at a bunch of guest mode and privacy apps at the App Store but I don't like them. I also can't find a activator to enable and disable an app.
How can I hide apps and where can o get an activator?
Thanks.
