Is there a tested version of Xposed Framework for Shield K1 running on Android 7? If yes, are there any modules I should avoid, because they can mess something up?

What is it, and what's the difference between Magisk an Xposed?
EDIT: Ok so I found out what Magisk is, so if I understood well, there is no way it can mess something up, because it does not edit /system partition?
I don't use it. Do full backup and check it.

Does this work? If so, what do I install and what order?
I installed Xposed for Nougat back in the fall and it worked, but it also destroyed my battery life while also heating up the tablet to a disturbing degree when the tablet was completely idle. Needless to say, I uninstalled Xposed for Nougat immediately. I'm not completely sure however, whether it was xposed itself that was causing these bugs or one of the applets, but I think it was Xposed because even after I unselected and uninstalled the applets the tablet the battery was still draining while also heating up.
If you are intent on trying out Nougat, here some guides (and fyi if you are on a stock Nvidia Shield Tablet you will need the SDK24 zip):

Hi Guys,
By no means a new user of phones or to the rooting/rom process but am I missing something on this forum? Where are all the Android Development Rom's for this device, like eXistenZ and Monx's. Did they just not update to this device so there's no support?
And god can someone please tell me how to change the resolution on this device. I cant stand the 800 x 600 look.
About roms, you have to ask developers directly. And about resolution, that's probably just your feeling, I'm happy with It.
Get build prop editor and xposed module xperia xposed. Use build prop editor to change ro.sf.lcd_density to 320

And in xperia xposed go into xperia home to adjust grid size and auto fill widget size.
That's how mine looks. Much better then stock

Awesome, That's exactly what i needed to know. One more question if you don't mind.
Im sitting on firmware 23.0.1.A.5.77 and too my knowledge that can't be rooted without an unlocked boot. But if i do unlock it ill lose DRM (Cant backup TA without root?) etc etc. which I want to avoid. Is that right? So until they bring out a LB root for .77 ill have to wait to install the xperia module.

So, I've had a lot of fun with this..
Long story short, I'm running windows 8 so i had to find a way around the ADB drivers for flash tool to recognize my phone. I eventually found a work around, Installed the drivers for my phone. And now my PC won't recognize the phone at all. Its got me stumped. I've uninstalled all drivers and tried re-installing the Sony original and nothing. I've tried re-installed all of the PC companion and drivers from flashtool and every possible work around other then a factory restart. The PC does connect via wireless, just not via USB. It doesn't charge at all as well.
Got any ideas?
Hmm I'm not sure if run win 7 still ask in the giefroot forum about win 8
Do you have adb enabled? Allow mock locations and unknown sources? And when you installed drivers did you use the ones in flashtool?

Just give you an update dude it all worked flawlessly after some troubleshooting. Once again thank you man!
I would post a screenshot but for some reason that's the only thing i can't do. Tried resetting permission's/deleting the pictures folder but i dunno haha. Nothing major
Awesome good to hear.glad I could help you out. Looks way better this way I hate the low resolution look.
That's strange
At least it works
I have never installed xposed before and was wondering if it degraded performance or battery life any. My phone is running GREAT and I would hate to muck it up.

Anyone? Would I be correct to say that installing xposed on android is like installing dot net on windows. Its just a library that doesn't do anything itself but allows certain programs to run?

yes you are right in that aspect. it injects itself into the framework.jar and allowed the modules to alter on a system level without the need of custom roms.
---------- Post added at 06:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 PM ----------
if it degraded performance it would be from the modules effects not xposed.

no prob. it can be a pain dealing with some of the module effects. but at least if you install it you don't have to worry about flashing roms

I've been having problems dealing with marshmallow for the sprint s6 edge, one of which is when I lock the screen, as soon as I turn it back on, itll just fade out again and I can't unlock my phone... Super frustrating
Another issue is switching selinux to permissive I really need ths and if anybody has done or could show me how that would be great
I'm using the marshmallow Odin package that was posted here a couple days back, I rooted and installed xposed as well as tarp all successfully! I only started noticing these things after installing xposed but I want to make sure if it's xposed that's the problem before I uninstall it
Again I say thx to any help provided!

If you noticed it after installing xposed then it's probably the culprit. Maybe not necessarily xposed but a module you have installed. I'm running xposed just fine here. Ram9200 has a kernel that is SELinux Permissive but you can also download SELinuxModeChanger to switch it to permissive.

I think it's a problem with the xposed app. Click the save button and then go into a file manager to install them.
Edit: I believe this is the old Xposed Installer app

its great to have xposed, but every mod I like to have wont work, not the you tube ads blocker, not the hide the volume warning
---------- Post added at 07:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:32 PM ----------
which do you have that are working?
The Magisk or systemless version of Xposed SDK24 doesn't work on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (G935F). If you flash the Magisk version via TWRP or dvdandroid's Xposed Installer, you're gonna end up in a bootloop. Since the Magisk-uninstaller also doesn't work on the S7 Edge (G935F), you'll pretty much have to restore your last backup or reflash your ROM. It only works through the regular install method to /system/.
Also, keep in mind that if you have Xposed installed on /system/, you're always going to fail SafetyNet test and currently there is no way to hide it from SafetyNet.
Just installed the systemless version

Sorry I should have been more clear... Flash the classic version!
This is awesome!
But here's my concern...without a custom recovery, how do we recover from a mod that puts the phone in bootloop?
I used to test them and if it didn't work I'd just delete it in TWRP.

YouTube AdAway works for me.
Thank you for this info! Installed the classic version of Xposed on my Superman ROM v2.6 and confirmed working. MinMinGuard works too!
I have a question. Is there any reason to use YouTube Adaway+Background Playback over IYTBP?
I am obviously rooted (via Magisk) and still using the stock ROM for my Metro XT2043-4. Is it safe/possible to install Xposed Framework on this device? I need the "Fake Wifi Connection" module in particular is why I'm asking but there are soooo many more goodies contained within that I'd love to have at my disposal as well!
