[APP] LG Camera mod for KitKat AOSP Roms

Hi, i just want to share what i just did for my phone.
It's a slightly modded version of the lg camera for custom roms ported by sefnap.

things i changed:
replaced that ugly launcher icon with the aosp camera icon
translucent navbar!
includes the fix for saving into /DCIM/Camera
probably more to come.
known issues:
force close on IA mode
sometimes freezes (?)
video face effects force closes
no noise mode doesn't work (but works if you put phone to silence)
hdr mode doesn't work correctly
burst mode works, but not as good as it should
LGCameraApp_kk3.apk: (down)
important: you have to uninstall the original (sefnap) app first, because i changed the apk signature
maybe i'll theme some other apps later... have fun

Edit: Seems to be working well on D802 running PA4 alpha. Love the transparent nav bar, A bit tricky to tell the difference between my AOSP camera and the LG one now with matching icons. Did notice that it makes a noise when taking a photo even with the setting set to off.

i know the issue with the sound it makes, i'm not sure if i can fix that.
and for the icon you can just disable the stock camera like i did, as you don't need it anyway.
i will never change the icon back

Still having random FC's in IA mode, but the other version I found was locking after every first pic so this is a bit improvement.

Worked from my desktop, it was definitely not working last night on my phone... weird.

Will have to try and get a logcat, but yes when you switch to ffc it force closes and then anytime you launch after that it does it until you flip it back to rfc quickly before it errors.... it fcs when tries to render.

Poblems with IA mode are known and can't be fixed at this moment, i'll update the op.
multi focus does work but you don't see the focus points.
i will look into the issues when i have more time.

This is just a fork of CM camera, with some advanced features See changelog for more.
App should work on any CM 10.2 based ROM. Install as system app to avoid crashes. Clear Gallery's data in application manager after installing.

Frame rate setting now shows all preview-fps-ranges supported by device
Added 288p, 240p and 144p profiles support (i9505 shows only 240p)
Added custom profile (EXPERIMENTAL). You can enable it in [Settings] > [Video quality] > [Custom], and change it's settings in [Settings] > [More options]. If you can't start recording, check these settings first (for example, AMR NB audio codec can't be used with sample rate higher than 8kHz).
Update 1.1:
Improved Polish translation
Now you can set your favorite frame rate :laugh:. Auto restores AOSP setting. Yes, 60 fps works, but (at least on i9505) it changes only shutter speed, video is still encoded in 30 fps. I think it needs to change media_profiles.xml (/system/etc/) and/or graphics driver.
SOURCE CODE: Source is available at https://github.com/M132/camera-mod. Feel free to modify or include it in your rom. Credit would be nice, though .
KNOWN BUGS:
Some videos are encoded in ~16 FPS (CM 10.2 only)
Preview freezes after taking picture with rear cam (CM 11 only)
[highlight]If you report a bug, please, post also your settings and part of logcat or screenshot from CatLog app, that's describing the error (it's usually tagged with AndroidRuntime). I'm not a wizard, I don't know what causes these random FCs .[/highlight]

Please feel free to take a moment to read the first post and see that its for cm 10.2 based ROMs, not touchwiz...

I know, but i little hope it works.

@hardcore90 It may work on Touchwiz with some modifications. Please post a part of logcat (or screenshot from CatLog app ) that's describing the error, so I can fix it . It's usually tagged with "AndroidRuntime". Why would you use it on Touchwiz anyway? It has already amazing cam, with constant 30 fps mode .
@jakemog I will make CM11 version when i9505 gets stable build. Actually, you can use CM10.2 version on it, just like me :laugh:. (Backup and delete camera AND gallery apks from /system/app before installing)

Thank you . It seems like CM's camera uses CM-specific function to enable Samsung's Zero Shutter Lag. Unfortunately, I lost CM10.2 source and I have to redownload and rebuild it to build gallery app, so I will release fix tommorow.

It's probably error log for another app. Could you scroll to the top of it, and then take screenshot in landscape mode? It should look like this:
Notice "Process: com.android.gallery3d" on 2nd line.

Damn, freezes for me too. I didn't notice it because I was using front cam. I will try to fix it, but it may take some time because I don't even know what causes it. Tried renaming, still freezes .

How to install:

3. Wait until it optimize around 10 apps
4. Open the camera and you'll see that it's crash. Reopen it.
5. Tap on Mode, slide down and open "Manage mode"

7. Enjoy your new Cam
What is bugged / NOT working??
- Shot and More and Selective Focus
- Selfie mode with front cam (it work's with back one)
- If night mode is enabled after camera take the shot it say "camera failed"
- At every full reboot camera crash for the first time Fixed in V2.1
- Slow Motion works but video had a very bad quality
- Layout is not perfectly fitted to FHD screen of S4 due to 2K screen on N4 Fixed in V2.1
What is working??
Everything else except what is written above. Camera, Video Recording, front cam all main features are working.
Remember that Hdr works in a different way from S4 Camera.

1. Yep CameraData folder from N4 in rom
2. Yep for sure most of bugs are related to missing/different libs
3. The initial crash log says that is due to index out of bounds in Camera.smali

Hey buddy. Rom working well here. Havent checked bluetooth yet but everything else is working. You need to move this to development section so more D850 users can know about it, test it and report. With the way its running, its definately a daily driver.
Edit: bluetooth working too.
Playing a video not in full screen mode has some small grey screens appearing above the video. Double tap to sleep on navigation button would be good to add.

Sorry about that, I removed a few apps and that was one because I use root explorer... I'll make sure I include a file manager next build.:good:

Flashed rom last night with 80% battery. Setup the phone with that and then calls and emails all day. 3 hrs 22 minutes screen on time with 25% left before i set it on charge via usb. Everything works. @VECTUS bro this is not a tester base, its a perfect stable rom. Since this is just a start, i am excited of what comes in the future Excellent job buddy.

Thanks! I'm glad you mentioned battery. I have an extended 9000 man battery so I didn't even think about battery stats... But glad to see battery is sufficient... Probably be Monday or Tuesday before I get another update out. So Nova Launcher or Asus???

Which battery is that? Been using Nova Launcher for a long time now, makes the rom more perfect.

I'd personally prefer Trebutchet as it is lightest among all or Google Now Launcher. Simple, doing job no hicups. Props for the rom brother. Good to see someone sharing his work (Y)

Meh, I was sober when I wrote that too... Lol. I meant 6000 mah and got it here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PB...+the+lg+g3&dpPl=1&dpID=51fpBOl01EL&ref=plSrch. Got a black silicon cover so that baby bump is barely noticeable http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PI...+the+lg+g3&dpPl=1&dpID=41X2FE+umkL&ref=plSrch... Yeah I was learning towards Nova. I used the asus launcher in a prior rom for the N6. Kind of burned out on it... Trebuchet is a good light launcher. But with nova you can theme, screen off etc etc...

I used the asus launcher in a prior rom for the N6. Kind of burned out on it... Trebuchet is a good light launcher. But with nova you can theme, screen off etc etc...

Yeah, screen off is the thing coz of which i use nova prime else Trebutchet aint that bad.

Seen some people reporting black screen on front cam while using skype or other video chatting apps on CM13 based roms. No issue here with spectrum. Chatted from almost an hour and no issues.

Please include latest CM changes in your next build, there's a bad wifi bug. (see the last two or so pages of the AICP rom thread if interested)

I was actually already aware of the CM changes. I can confirm that they work also... I'll include them next build:good:

Skype video chat is working for sure. No dim/black issues with front camera here.

zooming is available, but i dont think its lossless
but 2x photos are better than manually zoomed photos

Except:
HDR mode is missing,
Beauty mode doesn't work,
in pro mode, even 4 second pic takes around 15 seconds to capture...
