Looking for detailed usage statistics - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

So coming from a Moto Z force im still adjusting to the Samsung interface. I've noticed that I can't seem to go into the detailed page for battery usage stats like I use to be able to on the Moto Z. Am I missing something or is it not possible to go into it?? I've included a picture of the usage page I'm talking about. Trying to figure out how bad wakelocks are on my device

you have to go to settings -> device maintenance -> battery -> wait couple of seconds and battery usage will show up press it and you will have something similar to that

I know what your talking about but I'm after more detailed stats. E.g, wake locks, the page you speak of doesn't show this.

Setting Profiles using 30% of my battery!?

I am getting decent battery life, but it seems strange that Setting Profiles would use 1/3 of it.
Any one else experience this? Or know a solution?
Thanks
when I change profile on my Nexus S and go back example default or any other profile my ringer for notifications stay at the lowest setting. Very strange, maybe because I'm using CM7 nightly.

Not sure what to make of your situation; however, out of curiosity, when you select Settings/About Phone/Battery use and click on "Settings Profiles", does a new window pop up to provide further info and if so, what info is provided?
Best Regards!
yes, right now it has used 24% of my battery, I get a new screen that says
Battery used by application 24%
Force Stop Report
CPU total 5m 7s
Keep awake 2h 47m 43s
stop or unistall the app
app info (button)
I just changed it to turn off the widget after a change, increased the rule scan periods location etc.
charging to 100% (or so) and pulling the battery to reset the clocks to see what I get. im not sure if this is recent with this device or it has been doing this since I got the nexus. I didnt see it on the Epic or Evo.
thanks

[Q] Can't Find "Battery Level"

Hi all,
Running stock Android 2.2.2 on a Galaxy Pro, and I can't seem to locate "Battery Level" percentage.
All posts point that it should be under Settings > About Phone > Status, but all I can see there is Battery Status, which is either Charging or Discharging.
Any help to locate "Battery Level" would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Anyone, please?
Click on one of the text there.. either battery status or that progress bar (that shows how much is left).
Most of the time, pressing the Menu button will pop up extra options as well.. just try tapping around and see if anything comes up

You're saying that: Menu > Settings > About Phone > Battery use - _ doesn't allow you to see details regarding battery status/usage?

It does give me a break-down of battery usage. But it does not give me a "battery level" in percentage, which is what I can't seem to find anywhere on my phone.
I understand a widget would do the job, but I find it intriguing not being able to find this piece of information, especially that most people seem to have it.
I get what you mean, but the Battery Level is segmented into 10 bars, and I can roughly guess that my current battery level is at 40% (4 green bars).
BattStatt Pro shows me that I'm at 42% actually. So it's not far off, you'd be able to estimate to the nearest +/- 5% or 2.5% if your 'eyeball' skills are not bad.
Edit: On my HTC Legend, I can enter *#*#4636#*#* on the dialer menu and then check my Battery Info from there as well.
When you click about phone,is ther not an option that just sez status then gives percentage,if not I mayby thinking of a later android,if u long press on home screen, choose widgets, see if theres a battery 1 to add, there is on my android or look in the market theres plenty apps or widgets for free

Time unplugged missing?

I'm trying to find where the setting is to show how long it has been since it was unplugged from the charger (different than up time) and I can't seem to find it...
Here is where I have looked
Settings -> Power Management -> Battery Usage
Here it shows the percentage, a graph, how much battery life is approximately left but is missing the time since it was unplugged, am I blind or is this located somewhere else?
Thanks.
Looks like Google did some dumb/less intuitive things in Lollipop like this issue and the silent mode which is still there but made more confusing to users.

Battery draining too fast my device is rooted please help me take time to charge and drain too fast like water
Check your battery in settings, and look for whats draining the system. Have you had a chance to review that setting area?
Go into Settings, Developer Options, Limit Background Processes & choose '@ Most 4'. After a day, see how your battery is performing. I have mine set @ 2 processes and I have zero issues. Next, go into Settings, Device Maintenance & click on 'Battery'. Give it a minute to do its thing and then select 'Save Power'. This 'should' put to sleep the apps that aren't being used. You can do the last guy 2 or 3 times a day without issues.
Maybe bad signal. I can see it on your status bar.

Battery Usage

Hi All,
Got my OP6 a few days ago, I've come back to android after having to endure iOS on an iPhone 6s+
Things seem to have changed since I had my last android phone (Oneplus One).
I can't seem to find much detail about what is actually using up my battery.
When looking at tips online for reducing battery usage I keep seeing this battery stats screen for oreo (presumably AOSP or some very unmodified version from google).
The battery stats screen has a sub menu inside by pressing on the 3 dots in the top right which displays "Batttery Optimisation" and "Show full device usage".
On the OP6 Its accessible via Settings>Battery. However there is no 3 dots button in the top right that i keep seeing everywhere.
Has this menu been removed from Oxygen OS or something?
What are you guys all doing to reduce battery usage?
(I would post screenshots to describe better but my post count limits me - can't remember my old login here!)

The battery optimization section is the button right under the battery saver option

You can also get to this by tapping the battery/battery percent in the settings
Thanks,
I did find the battery optimisation setting - However the one im more intereted in finding is "Show full device usage".
If you google this:
"Android Oreo feature spotlight: More traditional battery stats make a return with 'Show full device usage' setting"
The first article shows a screenshot of the exact menu I'm trying to find.

That screen shot is stock Android we aren't on stock Android so obviously you won't find the exact same menu
I don't expect to find the same menu.
My question was does this menu exist somewhere on our devicea?
It looks like my battery stats only show user applications rather than the whole system.
