You already have a solution to fix that? I have the same radio and a similar problem.
No

I think I have the same problem, after the unit sleeps or is turned off for more than a day, the bluetooth stops working?
It also looses it's name and passcode and won't connect to anything.
Mines the SD-968, do you have the same module?
solution for malysk rom v6
open daisata app and go to white list tab.
select bluetooth (allow it). reboot device.
now your device should everytime reconnect.
i had the same issue. after whitelisting it, it solves my problem.

Thanks for your reply, sadly it's not worked
Seems to be a driver or a hardware issue
ok, sorry for you that it wont work.
ive switched from iphone to huawei and both works with that workaround.

Hi,
I've got yesterday sw2. It is really cool, but sometimes i have problem with bluetooth. Sw2 seems to be connected with phone, but when i start some app, it is loading, but this app don't start. I must restart my watch and then everything works fine, but then when i don't use it for a while it didn't want start against. I am using nexus 5 with custom rom. Where can be a problem?
I am having the same problem. Also a nexus 5 with custom rom. Maybe this is a nexus issue?
Which kernel are you running on the phone.
I am using latest Droidkang rom with stock cm kernel.
Some times I will clear phone's RAM to temporarily resolve this problem.
Any ideas anyone? I have the same problem on stock 4.3 on HTC One Max. It drives me nuts ^^
Stock Nexus 5 has no such issue so I'd start with the kernel /ROM bluetooth compatability. Certain apps seem to lose their state occasionally I've noticed. They generally just need to be closed and reopened though. No reboot has been necessary.

Difficulty with MediaTek devices
I have a Wiko Stairway, which is built on MediaTek platform. Pairing is difficult but possible. I don't know whose fault it is, MediaTek or Sony or both?
Still I find it awkard that I have to install 10MB of Sony software just to establish a faulty connection.
My workaround:
Pair the devices without installing the Smart Connect suite
Install Smart Connect and restart watch
Start Smart Connect and wait a while. It should now find the watch and prompt for installing the add-on
Turn bluetooth off and on on both devices
It should now work
Problem is that every now and then the connection is dropped and you may have to toggle bluetooth on either watch or phone or both. Even sometimes a restart is required.
A work around might be to see if force closing the app 'bluetooth share' temporary resolves the issue. If that's the case you could set up a tasker task to kill bluetooth share every 8 hours or so. You might need a plug-in to properly kill bluetooth share with tasker.
Anyone noticed issues with connecting with existing devices after the latest update? I have removed and work very hard at re-pairing my devices but they all take alot of attempts and connecting take alot of tries as well. It's usually takes a reboot to even re-connect. Turning off and on Bluetooth does not seem to work. Anyone have a fix or idea?

Sadly the same for me. When I get a call it sometimes automatically connects during the call, but not very willingly. Have not found a fix, but see a lot of people reporting the same issue.

Same here with MiBand. Also it seems that BLE isn't working. The Bluetooth notification icon stays white all the time. Before it used to be greyed out and becoming white only when transferring data.
I get connecting and after 30 secs connects and disconnects.

Bluetooth works correctly after doing a clean install, meaning wipe everything but internal storage. A dirty install is a update install. However Bluetooth works with many many issues for a dirty install. Hope that helps anyone after doing the update. Remember backup every thing before doing a clean install.

I found that after a day or 2 after doing a clean install you will still find yourself still trying to reconnect your Bluetooth devices. They work but you must go into settings umnderr Bluetooth and keep trying to reconnect to your devices.

Hi guys, the same is happening with my car head unit... It's almost impossible to reconnect unless removing it from the paired devices list.
I restored the previous update and everything work great. It connect quickly and stable.
I'll stay on 213 untill a solution or this BT issue get solved.
I did a clean install. All devices are connecting with no problems, but BLE is still not working.
Hi there, is there any way to force S7 latestes nugat update to remember PIN code for Car Audio of mine?
It has no problem connecting to OBDII adapter remembering the PIN, but wont connect to Car Audio, i have to enter PIN manually every time i enter the car.
any solution?
Same problem here. No automatic connection. Pin input every time. Are we alone?
Looks like... sadly.
I have the same problem - 2016 Volkswagen. Sometimes the phone is remembered, but it asks me to pair 90% of the time. I have a Pixel XL
Of note: I also use Android auto - which I suspect could be the culprit. When I plug in via that connection, the Bluetooth connects without asking for a PIN, but then the phone invariably asks my permission to access messages. Why won't it remember?
No problems in my 2015 Chevy Silverado...
Mine works omn my cars and with my other paired devices.
Some devices I was able to add to smartlock and others I couldn't
Are you on stock rom?
Are you rooted?
I remember I faced this issue once on a previous smartphone because when I installed a custom rom I lost the IMEI.
IMEI corrupt will result in that bluetooth issue.
Hope not your case....
Any one found a solution to the issue maybe?
Did anyone find a resolution for this? I am having the exact same issue on my new S9+. It was working when I first purchased it then the phone updated and now it can't remember bluetooth pin numbers so everytime I get in the car I have to type in the pin code.
Thanks.

Are you rooted? If so, there's an issue with rooted S9+ not remembering bluetooth pairings after reboot. You have to download a Magisk module called libsecure_storage companion.
Hi community.
This is my first post, so please be nice. I just got my first Headunit and i am having some trouble. It´s an Xtrons TE706PL (MTCE Oreo).
The first problem is WIFI. When starting the connection is always good. But after a few minutes of inactivity its is going down to nearly nothing. In this moment the head unit is on my desk only two meters distance to my router and it gives me only 0.5mbit/sec.
The second problem is USB and SD. I cannot see any pluged in devices in USB or SD-Card slot. The File Manager does not detect them. Only with ES File Explorer I can see the devices pluged in USB and use the files. SD-Slot seemes to be completely dead. But this cannot be right, can it?
So please help me. Did I get a defective Headunit, should I send it back? Or is the software so buggy and I should try another software?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: If I don´t connect with Bluetooth the Wifi seems to work. Strange!

Probably you have a md725 bt module (is a rtl8723 wifi+bt chip) that some guys reported to be interfering bt and Wi-Fi signals.
(Check which bt module is set up on factory settings)
Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
The factory settings say: WQ_BC6
Maybe it would help to use a seperate bt/wifi dongle.
Some people here seem to be successful with the Comfast CF-WU725B.
I have update my mtce px3 Android 7.1 MTCE with a px5 Android 6 and charged malaysk rom based on Android 8.0... but afther that i can’t turn ON my Wi-Fi. Bluetooth working perfect... all the thing working good.. only Wi-Fi don’t wont to turn on. if i try to start a wifi hotspot i get an error
Thanks to the people who can help me ?
edit:
I solved my problem by buying a new px5 upgrade kit, with preinstalled oreo 8.0 .. now before working on this new px5 I will try to install the same rom (provided you find it) on the previous px5, and I will update you on the result
Does your usb port(s) also stoped working?
Which MCU version are you running?
Did you preform a full wipe after flashing?
What are your current factory settings? Are those correct for your board?
Can you provide a logcat?

Full wipe before and after flashing the rom, cache wipe, i’ve Made a reset from the setting mod in car related...
How i can Made a logcat? Can you tel me how i hate to do!? Thanks
Any one can help me? Any suggestion?
Lets see if we can find out why it is not working use this app to email yourself a full logcat:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog
Secondly do you want to connect your hu to the internet through wifi. Or do you have a sim in your hu and do you want to share the data inside the car.
If it is the first you should only turn on wifi, if it is the second you should turn wifi off an only tetering on. On most wifi chips these functions can not be used simultainiously.
I suspect you need to select the right wifi chip in factory settings for the wifi to work after the board swap and mcu update.

May this can help you. With Oreo some head untis doesn't awake the internal usb-hub ...
But:
Hal9k: If you have a Bluetooth module MD725 type 2, it will not work in Android 8, although Android 6 works.
The reason is that from Android 8 its driver was removed.
How do you know if you have such a module?
On the first page of the factory settings in the BT item, MD725
The command getprop bt.md725.type, executed in the terminal, answers "2"

<- then you need a diverent BT Dongle.

I tried the method you suggested but unfortunately for me it does not work .. it seems that the px5 does not want to know to communicate with the wifi module ... I understand that my head unit is equipped with a wifi chip
REALTEK RTL8188ETV
if I go in
"CAR RELATED SETTING" then on factory setting
TO THE BLUETOOTH MODULE I see:
WQ_BC5
DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IT DOES NOT WORK, IF REINSTALLING THE PX3 WORKS ALL CORRECTLY, WHILE WITH THE PX5 THE WIFI CONTINUES NOT TO BE ACTIVATED
I tried them all now and I still have the px3 that works properly including wi-fi while If I install the PX5 there is no way to make the wi-fi work .. it seems that I do not see the form and I can not understand why. I also noticed that on the px5 is missing the file system / bin / sdsdk.bin, I tried to copy it from my px3 but without results ... (I simply copied the file, doing nothing else) Someone can help me Thanks
I got the same error. Today I got a new px5 board from the seller. Problem is I desoldered the internal wifi chip and an external USB wifi dongle doesn't work. Later in I'll try to resolder the original chip and see if it works. If it works then, there seems to be a problem with the px5 board. When I got the unit new everything worked flawlessly after 3 month it began to turn off the wifi sometimes, but it could be turned back on. Some time later it was totally dead. Turning on didn't worked at all
Quick Update: Soldered the Wifi Module back into it's place. Still Wifi can't be turned on. It's really frustrating.

I am facing similar problem. Here is the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysQYn9B-a-Y
Tried a lot of things to fix this thing, ended up updating firmware to "[ROM][PX3][RK3188][Nougat][7.1.2] Hal9k ROM 2 for ALL RK3188/PX3 MTCD/E head units" but nothing fixed problem.
Solved !!!
I bought another px5 with pre-installed Android 8 ... and with this everything works !!! including Wi-Fi???? now I'll try to find the rom that is installed on this px5 and install it on the other ... let's see how it goes
